What is MariaLAL.esp and do I need it for this to work?

When I tick the box to let it run, my game won't start.

If I don't have it on, the game starts fine, but new games put my character in a featureless dark world. If I COC to some location, I can talk to others and the dialogue options for ME are there, but there is no follow through - no sex or enslavement despite how the characters respond.

If you have that esp, you told the mod that you have live another life installed, so ME is trying to defer to LAL at the start. Your issue probably stems from one of two things - either you don't really have LAL, or you clicked both LAL and ME's alternate start when you installed the mod. Either way, the fix is to uninstall ME then reinstall, this time making sure to pick the correct options in the mod installer menu.

Witcher 3 Is soooo goooood D:

The feeling I get while playing it must be what it feels like to be heavily addicted to something really good :D

How I envy you; my laptop has no chance in hell of running Witcher 3. Worse still, I'm actually a Pole and a long time fan of the books...

:( That is sad, are you sure? Because required setting are not correct, my graphic card is a lot below it (gtx 460) and i can play it

I have geforce gt 740m, according to online comparisons it's weaker than yours (that's laptop cards for ya).

I have only a GT 750M - after tweaking through the settings it is reasonably playable - but the game is so damn good that I accept the low framerate (20 - 30 FPS)

@zaira - Well loving the Witcher 3 on my Geforce GTX 750 Ti 2048MB GDDR5. Able to use medium to high (but not ultimate) as according to the developers themselves. Asked after an auto requirements checker site made a mistake as my card is a lot better than the minimum required specification. Though not equal to the recommended specification roughly just under as the posted ones on the sites say "Geforce GTX 770".

I hope you are enjoying it too zaira, though what with the free DLC program - providing 16 pieces of extra content free. With 1 new piece every few weeks or so (at most every few months).

@carnifex - Depending on where it is purchased from (e.g. gog.com) or several other locations you could get it DRM-Free. The gog.com site also provides a 30 day money back guarantee.

Okay last thing i will write about, i promise  I don't want to turn into Witcher Thread! But zaira, and carnifex if you get it, try set FPS cap to 24 (in ini), and "Maximum prerendered Frame" to 1 in Nvidia Panel, it will run really smooth even with low fps!

My one and only comment on this very off-topic topic:

Witcher 3 should run on any system that will run Witcher 2. It really does not seem to be any more GPU intensive.

And if it runs on your system - pay for the game.

With all the greedy developers and buggy releases out there, CD Projekt Red really deserves our supprt.

They treat their customers fairly, and we should do the same.

Aaah, I was wondering why there weren't updates for awhile. Now it all makes sense. :D

Okay, so I tried it with LAL installed and it won't initiate. For that matter, even with ME removed, I can't get LAL to initiate, which is weird.

So I've removed both MariaLAL and LAL and I'm just running Maria.esp and MariaQuickStart.esp. And I still wind up in a dark space and the mod doesn't work properly.

I don't see what the point is of "reinstalling" ME  since it was never "installed" in the first place. What Mod Installer Menu? I only ever dropped the relevant bits into the Data Folder manually in the first place. NMM won't install it, eh? I put in the contents of the Base Mod, ENG Esp and the Quick Start Plugin into the Skyrim Data Folder That should do it, right? Honestly not sure what the Fomod Folder is for and the tutorial I looked at leaves me none the wiser ...

I have an issue my dialogue moves very slowly, or sometimes stops entirely until I do something silly like wait a hour, or reload my save, or restart the mod. Any solutions other than these ramshackle function-pushers? Also, if I reset the mod it glitches and everyone says, "I'm not talking to a slave~!"

Nmm will absolutely install it, and that's what the fomod is for - the fomod is the mod installer you asked about. Upload the mod into nmm, install it via nmm, and it will give you a series of options, including whether you use DA and/or LAL, and whether you want to use ME's quick start.

Can't believe its been staring me in the face all this time. All I have to do is press "Add Mod From File" with *nothing* selected and I get a menu.

Thanks. :)

MMmm... except that whilst everything installs nicely and LAL works fine, the scripts don't seem to be kicking in properly.  Even after a complete purge of all Maria files and a fresh installation.

DAYMOYL won't leave me captured when MariaEden is the only thing ticked.

LAL won't deliver me to a cage when I select Be a Slave. A

nd if I have another start and try to turn myself in for slavery (I need a strong hand to guide me) or try to prostitute my character, all the conversation takes place okay but nothing actually happens. No enslavement and no sex. :P

So, I've had a persisting issue that no amount of fiddling a PRIDing and moving actors and waiting and reloading could fix. I've tried searching this thread for solutions, but my google fu has let me down. Someone (else) really needs to make a wiki or something.

Anyway, in "A Meal for Maria", inside the Bannered Mare, the some or other customer just fails to come up, which then stalls the mission. Is there a sneaky workaround? Because I'd like a sneaky workaround.

That gives me hope since I can run Witcher 2 decently. And I'll certainly buy it if I can run it, it's a matter of national pride for me ;)

Is there any workaround out there to fix the blow job - ctd in version 1.24?

Try looking up the quest id and doing a setstage 100. That will finish the quest and make the men disappear. However, it might break the mod - after I did it, my owner would do nothing except follow me around and say that that vin always greases the wheel.
