Vivi Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Beastess Lairs View File  This mod adds a series of caves to the world of Skyrim. I made this mod for my Beastess, because I couldn't find a home that suited my needs. It was designed for simple wildling characters, so don't expect underground strongholds, just empty caves where you can sleep and store some items. They are also very easy to customize in CK to fit any type of character.  SSE Port by nomkaz  The poster girl is not included :3 You can click on the caves below for more pictures (some contains titties).      The mod is using only vanilla assets. You don't even need DG or DB.   The mod will conflict with any mod that alters the areas where the cave entrances are.  Enhanced Landscapes does block the entrance to the Whiterun cave. Undeath reportedly blocks the entrance to the cave in Falkreath Hold.   PELTAPALOOZA - Hi-res pelt texture replacer. Hectrol CAVES DELUXE HighRes Retex Vivid Landscapes - Dungeons and Ruins or Vivid Landscapes - All in One   All this was inspired by the lion cave from The Ghost and the Darkness. Sixpaths22 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Oh cool! I have been looking for something like this .I roleplay a character really similar! Very neat.
Kaos Wulf Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 This is just perfect for my barbarian. Thank you
Carabosse Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Looks really good in game. I can never get the cave kits to look right but you've done a great job. Â Made me want to roleplay a wildling character that's too scared to enter cities or talk to people.Â
Leito86 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Nice choice for location. Â I've always preferred the central location of Whiterun as a base of operations.
bloodmoonhtn Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Oh nice, thank you  . But in my opinion, I preferred somewhere near FalkreathÂ
rydin Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Neat idea! Thanks very much for sharing it! Edited location names slightly to suit my tastes but excited to play with it! Nice!
Vivi Posted November 11, 2014 Author Posted November 11, 2014 Glad you guys like it  I might tweak it in the future by adding a few more Lairs.  Looks really good in game. I can never get the cave kits to look right but you've done a great job.  Well I cheated to be honest, I used parts from several vanilla caves
Prometeus5879 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Well done. It can be used in so many ways, be it a lair for a beastess character or a simple start point for a barbarian or runaway slave. While recently Nexus is flooded by immense player homes (that are in their kind also fantastic), I realy was looking for something simple like this.
Guest Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I;ve been looking for something like this forever it seems, Thanks for doing this. Fits perfectly with most of my play styles... from Witch of the Wilds, Barbarian, Lone Huntress etc. We need a lot more of this type of player home. I look forward to any updates and added locations you might do.
Devious Diana Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Will there be a questline for this mod?
Vivi Posted November 17, 2014 Author Posted November 17, 2014 Will there be a questline for this mod? Â Don't think so. Just a few more caves with different styles
Herrmannesque Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Badsector, thanks for sharing this... These caves are great for doing screenshots. Â Dumb question for you... I just did a download of v2.0 and I noticed there is only an esp file in the archive. Â Are there are meshes or textures or is this just meant to replace the esp I currently have for v1.0?
Vivi Posted November 18, 2014 Author Posted November 18, 2014 Badsector, thanks for sharing this... These caves are great for doing screenshots. Â Dumb question for you... I just did a download of v2.0 and I noticed there is only an esp file in the archive. Â Are there are meshes or textures or is this just meant to replace the esp I currently have for v1.0? Â Yes just overwrite it but make sure to empty the bags/chests in the first cave so you wont lose them and make a clean save just to be on the safe side. Â There is only one .esp because I only used vanilla meshes. I really wanted to make the cave(s) as simple as possible.
Herrmannesque Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Thanks, badsector. The ice cave looks great! Can you add navmesh when you get a chance? I was planning for some debauchery in there but my follower only goes as far as the cave entrance. Â I'd love to see a cave like this in Solstheim in a future update.
Vivi Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 Thats weird I did add a navmesh and tested with a follower O.o will take a look as soon as I can. Meanwhile just use moveto player as a workaround, should be fine with that
Guest Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Just a note: version 1.0 has a lot of dirty edits. Cleaned it automaticly and it works fine. I don't know about version 2. check it out when you get time... and thanks again
Vivi Posted November 20, 2014 Author Posted November 20, 2014 2.0 probably got more will clean the next version.
Vivi Posted November 21, 2014 Author Posted November 21, 2014 Fixed the navmeshes, test it and let me know of any other problems.
Herrmannesque Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Navmesh is working great now in the ice cave. Thanks, Badsector!
Prometeus5879 Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Hey Badsector, Â For some reason the esp got a small typo in it. It's now called 'BeastessLair.esp.esp'. Not much of an issue, it just flags my save games as missing a mod.
Vivi Posted November 22, 2014 Author Posted November 22, 2014 Oh ffs, thanks totalcommander >.> Â Fixed, thanks
sativa Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 try the vanilla graywinter watch (superb lights) and place the Adventure tent in it,thats my home since three years
Carabosse Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 I have the urge to make occupants for the lairs. A feral woman and wolf companion. How would they react to you threatening their territory? What would you have to do to have them accept you as one of their own?
Vivi Posted November 22, 2014 Author Posted November 22, 2014 Yeah I was wondering if I should put some original owners into the caves, but I really wanted to keep the mod as simple as possible. I prefer it that way when it comes to player homes, and players can tweak it to their liking in CK anyways
