MajorKururu Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Just browsing the site for today and I keep getting this warning regarding security breach from google. Can anyone contact the site admin A.S.A.P?
MajorKururu Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 Seen like the general discussion area is still safe ? I've try to browse the other section but the malware warning from google pop up
Slammer64 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Hmmmm, I'm on Waterfox and I'm not seeing anything like that. Ok, just checked, www.cpmterra.com is an advertising site, so maybe it's infected ads.
MajorKururu Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 Ok, just checked, www.cpmterra.com is an advertising site, so maybe it's infected ads. The advertisement eh? I'm going the disable the ads temporary. Lets see if the warning still pop up *edit* Nope. The warning still popping up. Hell. Leaving the post will cause the warning screen to pop up
pinky6225 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Nothing is showing up for me using firefox, is everybody seeing the message using chrome?
judge0 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Using chrome, popup shows. Using IE 11, that popup doesn't show, but twenty or thirty popup/popunders do . . .
Voltranis Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Nope, I'm using Chrome and nothing of the sort comes up...
Slammer64 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Well, as I said, I'm on Waterfox, the 64bit version of Firefox and using Adblocker, so who the hell knows?
eflat0 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Nope, I'm using Chrome and nothing of the sort comes up... Chrome definitely sees the threat... I had to allow by-pass to get here. Guest smellbo Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I don't see any warning, and I'm currently on Chrome
Trollirious Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 the warning is very worrying to me >.< and i just got the website
randompeep Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I didn't receive such a warning either. I'm on Firefox
D_ManXX2 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 This is why i use add-block. No offense, but after that incident at nexus i never allow any ads anymore.
TheDriedFinger Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Yeah, I got the same message from Chrome (blocking the site because it was loading ads from www.cpmterra.com, which Chrome said is known to have malware). I'm sure that once Ashal has a chance to read this, he'll figure something out.
...0... Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Non profit browser block all. Search engine that don't store IP or follow your movements. Just use ghostery block all, problem solved. Don't click on links or adds. Do clean install every 3 months Don't store anything private on your HDD. Go deep dark web then use TOR but thats only for the extreme. Use protonmail. Don't register at any social media. Final advice(not 100% any advice or waterproof hehe) learn to behave on the internet and become aware of dangers it holds.
Ashal Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I've disabled the offending ad until they fix it. Nothing else I can really do about it.
gucky4linux Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 My antivirus is Avira and he removed all trojans, malware and similar scrap. As a browser, I use Opera 24.0 and had no problems with it. Very good and in the minimal version is free "Spybot Search and destroy". Above all, one should no tool you use does not know very well.
Slammer64 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Many thanks Ashal, for your timely intervention.
Guest Mogie56 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I was using Chrome but it got to where google wouldn't even load and finally I just uninstalled it. I couldn't get to LL with Chrome or any other site for that matter. I've run Malwarebytes several times over the past few days and found nothing. Firefox has given me no trouble at all surprisingly LOL. I don't have a problem with pop-ups here, or at least haven't in the past but I wasn't able to use Chrome to get here only FF.
LFact Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 No warning here at this time(Firefox with AdBlock Plus). Using VPN does matter or not?
Guest carywinton Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 IE 11 with it's built in ad blocking capabilities has always worked fine for me here, with one exception, it cannot copy and paste and most of the imbedding functions like pictures, scripts and code will not work, so I use Firefox when I have to add content to my posts. Thanks for disabling that add anyway Ashal.
Baron Samedi Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I was getting a warning from FireFox about this site. I'm now no longer getting anything. (Gratz to Ashal I guess) I'm just gonna recommend you run your chosen AntiVirus and possibly turn on your addblocker (I'd recommend Ghostery)
