I think it's possible to update it. First step, as you said, go to a closed cell. Preferably a small one. Next, press the ~ key and type in "player.showracemenu". Make sure you have saved your appearance into a preset, then change your race to anything not using lykaios assets. Save your character, save the game, exit to the desktop. Install the update. Once you load the game again, (Personally I'd leave the cell first then come back, but I'm just paranoid of ctds) open the racemenu again and switch to lykaios. Load your preset, and you should be good to go!

Hopefully that'll work once the update comes out. Fortunately for me, I don't have to worry about it. My skyrim game's already utterly fucked, so I've gotta drop everything and start over...AGAIN!!! (Script errors...I hate you...)

I have something that will make it easier for you. As some other users have stated below, using that command will make your character lose all their Health/Stamina/Magicka points, and will affect many Skill levels... That said, I suggest you to run this: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/20394/?- ShowRaceMenu Alternative. Once installed, the mod will add a toggeable 'Power', that will display 2 options... Usually you'll go with the '>Open Race Menu<' so you don't have 48 hours for some weird scrolls to be distributed to every merchant in the game lol.

Now, this mod acts in a way that once you open the race menu thru the method I mentioned here, you will be able to change your race ENTIRELY, while keeping all the stats and points you might have. - This saves you the time and problem that you might encounter with "Player.SetRace --> showracemenu", because let's be all honest, this sucks, and sometimes it's a pain in ze butt depending on the race, because many custom races aren't written as, for example, 'Lykaios' in the CK, but something like... 'WolfWinterRaceMod' (again, this is a wild example).

And well... I lost my game with my Khajiit because I had MASSIVE lags ONLY in Whiterun, and I was in a pretty important stage that needed Whiterun a lot, and it was horrible to move around using commands [like 'coc jorrvaskrl --> coc breezehome --->

coc dragonsreach1 ---> coc whiterun ]. Eventually I said like... "Well... It was a nice run. See you later, Ma'ika", and I left her in Riverwood Trader with a nice outfit, looking into her followers' eyes as she said 'See you soon' to all of them.

I guess that I'll re-mod my game once this updates launches, so I can re-decide which mods to keep, which ones to ditch, and I'll look for a way to improve my game's performance script-wise.... I think I'll stop using "Upgraded Weapons and Armor for enemies (UWAe) " ( http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/33502/?) once I do so, and probably stop using some Sexlab mods that scan most actors in an area lol... those are too script-heavy for my this-year-turning-7-years-old computer.

EDIT: I also want to know... does somebody know if PCEA is too script-heavy? I mean, I've been using it in this gameplay, and I only encountered problems in a bandit camp that I couldn't beat until I disabled the mod for the moment but... Dunno. I guess I need a second opinion.

Ok, so the updated race uses the same .esp, BUT... I've editied a lot of the entries for the headparts, and changed headpart IDs, added new tints, eyes and things and re-made racial abilites. SO if you have an existing Lykaios character, you wont need to change your race at all since the CK race ID is still the same, but you may see some issues in skill trees and there is a chance your stats might spaz out, or you could have missing or different looking Headparts. As I said, its untested so far. WIll just have to wait and see!

I could never get PCEA to work.

XD

Anyways, I'll consider your mod suggestion, but I'm going to focus on all other mods I use first, since the plugin cap is a major issue for me. (I'm trying to get Skyrim to be well developed in both the sex and combat aspects.)

Kritta, I'm kinda curious, but uhh... Do you have an estimated time for the update? Just wondering, that's all - Because I've noticed that you made some huge progress on the mod in many aspects (I'm unaware on how much you have done of the followers, but for the main race it is noticeable). And yeah, I guess that it might be a smart option to change race first, prior to installing the update... I do suggest using the ShowRaceMenu Alternative for those who want to keep their character stats and such.

I know how you feel... My Khajiit save died because some mods conflicted probably in regards of some Increased spawns and some bugs with critters probably. I had 231 ESPs or so. When I decided to restart the whole game, I ended with around 121 ESPs... So yeah, you should looks around those mods you have there, you probably don't use some of them anymore, are replaced or maybe some of those do the same as others, but expanded. Trust me, it happens. And I don't know how you had trouble with PCEA... I mean, once you already use races like this, the Lykaios, and you have FNIS, it's a simple thing... unless you use a vanilla race that you modified with other mods. Now THAT is terrible.

I've still got to convert and weight all the Hairs for males, but the female hairs are mostly done :). Then It's pretty much just tidy up the .esp and re-make the character presets before converting to an esm to finish exporting out the NPCs properly without grey heads/missing things.

I can't really offer an exact release date since I'm also super busy with assignments at Uni at the moment. I'm working on a book from 1886 which needs a complete re-binding due to insect damage in the text block, along with consolidation of the existing leather and re-construction of the spine. So this project is kind of on the back burner for the next few weeks while I concentrate on my studies. (which I feel are way more important that my modding hobby...sorry!.)

Good luck in your book! Poor book tho... All it might have gone thru. And it's ok! Studies>modding. Anyone who says otherwise might need a check up haha.

I take it PCEA worked fine for you? It was a complete failure for me. I was using it for a cat like run animation mod, but it affected everyone regardless. Even after uninstalling it!!! Anyway, my game always ends up capping out the esps at 254. I spent WAY too much time mod searching over the course of about half a year now. I could easily get up to 5 or 600 esps if I installed all the great mods I've accumulated. The worst part about this though is that I'm so obsessed with getting more and more mods, that I hardly spend any time actually playing them. It's safe to say that I have not fully explored a single mod of mine. (Besides sexlab.  XD)

Ooh! Ooh! Once you get around to that, could you try to make one of the presets that blue haired lykaios that was in the mod images? The one that had the shorts and blue tribal tattoos! (And/or perhaps make one of the NPC's look like that?)

I can try :) He wasn't my character, but was 'loaned' for the images since i couldnt run an ENB at the time.  He also was using KJ tattoos and Apachii hair, so I cant include the exact same preset in game, but I will list what mods are needed.

This time when I make the mod page, ALL of the 'models' for the mod will be the default preset characters. I'll make sure to number them and include a lsit of all the other mods (hair, clothes, ect) used to achieve the exact same look in your own game.

Did you remember to put PCEA last in your loadorder?

I had the same issue as you until I did that.

I don't know. It's been a while since I last used it.

Sounds awesome! Also, I have one more question. Is the genitals part of this project going to be a separate download here on Loverslab?

Posted

Yes, sort of!  The Race on its own will have normal human shaped SOS options as well as the option for the non functioning nude male body. The canine 'Add on' Porche is working on is going to be seperate.

is the sheath available for download yet .3.

Not yet. While my main computer is down, I'm powerless. I did find some files in my G-Docs thankfully but I've yet the chance to test them to see if they were my latest additions. If not, hopefully its not too far back.

And for the record, this add-on will strictly be SoS and NOT part of the source. It says this on the original posting, was hoping that would diffuse any possible confusion.

How did your main computer go down anyways? I don't recall ever seeing any posts notifying us of this.

Sorry to just come out of lurking and ask a question that may have already been answered, but does anyone know why the lykaios race mod was taken down?

Deleted it by accident and didn't see a point re-posting it, I have a tumblr account for you to keep updated on the new one at http://krittakitty.tumblr.com/

Ah, thanks for letting me know. I was working on making an NPC mod using it and when it disappeared I wasn't sure what was happening or whether I should continue my mod. I'd personally repost it since not everyone on the nexus knows about your tumblr, but as long as I have a place to track it and continue on my NPC mod, I'm happy!

Well, you and the 100 or so other people who've PM'd me in the last week asking what happened to it. lol

So excited for the updated version--chomping at the bit here, trying to restrain myself because I'm aware of the amount of time and effort this kind of thing takes. *offers a plate of delicious cookies as a treat for thems that is making this lovely mod* Many thanks for everything you're doing! :}

I finely finished my clean run  with all DLC's!!! Only took me about 4200 saves lol. Now I can start downloading mod's including this one. Looks like I will have to wait still :(.

Good thing come to those who wait. I will pray for good luck to you guys ;)
