I wasn't able to add any NPC's into the list (By using Reset Key + Shift hotkey), and the game is spamming me with "xxx is busy", "xxx is excluded" messages whenver I try to do so. Also, all NPC's which had been added before lost their values / stats. I also tried to Force Reset, but the game seems to be completely ignoring this. It's not an exaggeration for me to say I think this is the best relationship mod for any game ever made, period. You need some patience, and I'd highly recommend you read the instructions that come with the download, but yes, this is a very sophisticated and dynamic relationship mod. You can make friends, lovers, stalkers, enemies, partners, marry, etc. It's all done via dialogue and interactions but also takes into account how long you spend with an NPC, how close, how long it's been since you last spoke to them, if you speak to anyone else (jealousy) and inherent NPC types - some like certain things, others don't. Some are possessive, some aren't, etc. Only potential downside - which to me is actually a bonus - the dialogue system it uses is all "placeholder". As in, you get options for example for [Eat], [Drink], [Compliment], [Seduce], etc. You need to use your imagination to fill in the blanks as to what your character and the NPC might be saying. But I prefer that - so you won't see dialogue like 'Hey let's have a drink!' or 'Fancy a shag?' and so on. If that's not a problem for you, then I highly recommend this mod. Good post I can echo what you've said, honestly most of my most favored memories of modded FNV is a result of t3589's time and passion making this great mod a reality. I must have spent thousands of hours playing FNV because of how much fun I had creatively roleplaying relationships, sex and drama sandboxes focused around this mods functions and while technically a framework with 'placeholder' dialogs it still managed to propel my interest and enjoyment sky high and in times of down I played SOI to lift my own moods. t3589 I can't remember if I ever really thanked you but I am now, I hope you're doing well these days. It's been years since I played FNV but I'm feeling the urge to play for nostalgia and you bet I'll be installing this again especially if you start working on it more. I have to say, when I revisit FNV every odd year or so, I always start with SOI because it just opens up so many avenues for gameplay, regardless of whether I am playing a Sexout playthrough or not. It's nice to revisit old areas and NPCs and have reasons to go back and interact with people. I second you on the mod front. It's been a little dry lately. In terms of additions to SOI, I am not sure what I could think of. Some user feedback on some of the functions maybe. For example I am still not 100% sure what [Disposition] means but it almost always gives me a negative reply. Maybe scales of fondness the PC can express for NPCs. Right now I can only say [Love] which is super creepy after a 1st or 2nd date haha. It could be interesting to spike/drink spiked drinks when using the [Offer/Request] drink options, and with prostitution to actually be able to sic pimps/whoever you pay extortion to on johns that don't pay. If I had to chose a term to explain disposition, I would say something like 'making nice'. Just a way to improve rapport. I tried to couch the placeholders in the most basic sentiment that I'm capable of expressing in my native tongue. That way it would lend itself to a broad range of dialog. So a modder may use the dialog conditions to differentiate between varying degrees of fondness. It's generic on purpose in other words. Similarly with love. None of the placeholders should be taken very literally, but generally. I expect 'love' on the second date would be written differently than 'love' towards a spouse or intimate partner. The tracking functions and dialog conditions provide for this. For spiked drinks a modder might use the script results to alter the intoxication stat as well as other stats/meters/thresholds. About retaliation regarding prostitution. I spent quite a while hand wringing over whether or not to actually create a scene as you describe. In the end I took the lazy route and simply used the 'name dropping' route. So when you confront a welcher and threaten them with your pimp, the scripts will assess the threat level to that NPC personally and have them respond accordingly through dialog conditions. 'Pay up or Eddie is going to push your face in' that sort of thing. It makes choosing a tough pimp important. I think if an author wanted to actually make a scene where the pimp shows up they could still do that. The most difficult thing about this mod was testing it. I could never systematically test every variation this mod provides without going completely bat-shit insane. It's the sort of thing that needs authors to craft or players to point out.

Anything sexual is secondary, and it's nice to just be able to really role play, without sex being front and center of a mod. Truth be told, your mod is really the only reason I even play New Vegas anymore. If you ever do revisit your mod, might I suggest a way to end a pregnancy without needing to use radiation/damage? Damn Pacer stealthed me, and it'd make more sense to either take something or visit a doctor, than parking my butt up in Black Mountain's crater, to end it quickly via radiation.

Made sense that she'd just be like hell naw, and do something like that. I was trying to not use any console commands, along with hardcore needs enabled. But I'll use that from now on, since that's a bit easier than irradiating myself lol

Also, NPC's with the Reserved tag are just NPC's that will receive a random set of attributes as soon as you are in the cell, is that correct?

Anything that isn't set prior to system entry will be randomized. Some vanilla settings are pre-set if you have the quest example installed. The profiles.txt file in the api directory can be used to batch your settings. Reserved NPCs shouldn't run through the system until the reserved tag is removed. The quest example will remove the reserved tag for some NPCs once their respective quests have been completed (what the reserved tag is for). If you have auto add enabled, the system will add all eligible NPCs on proximity (SOI:Sys:Include 1). If not, they won't be added unless you add them manually. 1

When the song is finished playing, it switches off again.

I've got a lot of unnamed npc's thanks to casino crowds, living desert, and a few others but even though I've got it set to include all they still all say excluded i've also got smaller talk.

The question I have is that i've been playing for a few hours and npc's dialog tree all the time is just chat - small talk- exit except on one occasion it said Flirtatious for the npc but nothing came of it and it just reverted back to the small talk loop.

Click on Dawes while in the console and set these on him to test. NX_SetEVFl "SOI:Sex:ActorA" 1 NX_SetEVFl "SOI:Sex:Oral" 1 NX_SetEVFl "SOI:Act:Sex" 1 NX_SetEVFl "SOI:Scn:Action" 1 That should fire. If it doesn't, it probably means something is wrong with your particular install. If it does, I would first check if another mod is interfering. Maybe dialog or packaging on that specific NPC. Another thing to note with this mod is that it simulates autonomy. Part of that means NPCs get to reject your advances. They can say no. So you can't expect a 'click for sex' experience with this mod. You have to 'woo' them. Get to know them. Spend time with them. Find out what makes them tick. Or you could always just use the console. The quest example dialog was made to demonstrate how the mod could be used without adding NPCs into the system. So I don't think you can add Dawes until after you gain entry. Same with the Pacer entry example. EDIT: Also remember that the system will ignore the PC if they're running. Toggle it off and walk.
