It's just a delaying tactic.  Decline the activity and collect, or wait until the activity is over.  Loyal patrons will always pay immeditately after.  Likewise if the PC works an enforced location (Gomorrah/Wrangler).

EDIT:  You might try the latest copy in the second post.  I've been testing patron visitation at Gommorah and have made several changes since the 08/29 copy that may have corrected this.  Might be why I'm not experiencing it.  Mucho apprecianado for the feedback, as always.

LMAO! For real? Holy hell, I never gave much thought to just how sneaky some of the NPCs could be. That's some seriously clever stuff you've put in your mod. Gonna update to the newest version and give it a go.

Hey T, quick question: If the PC isn't a prostitute, can they still be extorted? I went on the Strip and had an NCR MP approach me and try to extort me. Never spoke to this NPC before, not wearing anything tagged prostitute, or even did anything related to that in this particular playthrough. But the first interaction was an extortion. I refused the first time, and consequently got abused for it. Second time I went to the Strip, same NPC ran up to me and tried it again, I refused and they said [Revoke] and then turned hostile, which caused all the other NCR MPs to go nuts and attack me too. So I'm guessing they revoked a license/permission I didn't even have? Haven't set foot near Dr. Kemp to even get the license, or had any interaction with any NCR tagged NPC, save for [small talk] to one or two gamblers at the Tops.

Extortion is tirggered by 2 things:

A. The opinion that the PC is a prostitue.

B. Prostitute tagged apparel.

Either may give an infraction that leads to extortion.

[Revoked] doesn't turn them hostile.  Though [Resist] can turn them hostile in response to [Collect].  [Collect] can be a response to [Refuse] when extorted (essentially theft).  Try checking them in the console for "SOI:Rcd:Infraction".  Also check them for the whore opinion "SOI:Opn:Whore".

They can pick up these settings and remember them.  So even if the PC isn't wearing something tagged prostitute at the time, they can still try and nail you from a previous encounter.

Originally [Revoked] also kicked you out of the strip, I just haven't put it back in.  It also took away your license and permits (which it still does).  Other that that I'll have to dig around to find out what's up.  It might be another timing issue of some sort.

EDIT: Excluded NPCs can also pick up these triggers before even being included.  Which is probably the first thing they'll do once they're included.  Just FYI, even the NPCs that aren't added yet are paying attention to some degree.

It didn't even get the [resist] option, just [revoke] and straight to 3 ncr mps going ham on me with stun guns. I just realized I didn't mention I didn't add those 3 npcs! I manually add npcs in, depending on what particular function I'm testing out. The only ones from any NCR group I added, was the two gamblers at the Tops. But no other NPCs, through that play through. Come to think of it, that's not the first time a random NPC got added in, without me doing it. I did have a bug- that I haven't been able to intentionally replicate mind you- that I had an NPC get randomly added out of no where, that was at partner level and absolutely furious at me for something, and calling me a cheat, whore, and almost every negative opinion possible, then in the subsequent interaction, they broke up and I got the whole "so and so has left the building" message. It did happen twice with the current test files, and it seemed like they piggy backed in on a manual add I did in the same area. I had it happen the first time after I sided with the Powder Gangers in Goodsprings. I manually added in Cobb and then the Goodsprings Settler that hangs out there, got added in too (not intentionally by me), after I left and came back a couple days later. I've tried and failed pretty thoroughly at replicating it, but so far it just seems like a completely random fluke.

I don't know what to tell you.  I can't find any [Revoked] dialog that initiates attack.  I would need to see the exact dialog chain from beginning to end, or some kind of debug.  What mod adds stun guns?

As for NPCs getting added automatically.  Try setting 'Auto Add' to disabled in the control terminal.  If it's enabled, the two MPs that patrol the strip will get auto added.  It will also auto add any bystanders during any kind of performaces, and any casino floor managers.

It sounds like your save is all jumbled.  I'm not aware of any NPCs that get added as partners.  You might try starting a fresh game?

EDIT: I think one of the MPs on the strip is running a sniffer script (vanilla).  So if you get added to the Powder Gangers faction or are wearing a faction hostile outfit, that might be what set them off?  Just a thought, as I've never tried going the PG route.

Hey T,

Quick question - I've noticed SOI tends to pause when inside certain buildings - like any of the Cottonwood Cove interiors. Is there a way to unpause it or prevent this from happening? In that region it's hard to go for privacy when SOI doesn't work indoors ?

Do you have another mod installed that restricts those cells maybe?  I can't remember the name.  One of the msex mods?  If another mod adds a cell to the SexoutListRestrictedCell list, SOI will temporarily disable itself while in that cell.

I can probably add a way to toggle cell restrictions if that's the case.  Let me know what you think?

Is the mod actually TTW compatible?

Since I spotted this in the readme:
2. Do not start the mod until after the introductory quests at Goodsprings have been completed.

Besides that, thank you very much for keeping this thing alive.

Also, where can I edit the list for this "Apparel" feature, since I am using some clothing mods, and I guess that they won't be considered when talkign with NPCs via Intimacy.

I never got around to TTW so I wouldn't know.  I think it works.  I know some people use it in TTW.  The line about Goodsprings is a recommendation for best results.  It was written before there was a pause button.

Apparel is located in the control terminal options in the players inventory.

Hey there everyone!

I had a few questions about this mod, and I hope someone could at least give me a few pointers!

It's been a while since I've played NV, and I finally seem to have some time to give it a good ol spin-around!

Thought I'd use some mods from this site to spice things up, just because smexy body mods seem useless without them LOL! I usually prefer simple ones that have some interactive dialogue, but nothing too complicated! Due to the fact that I feel that they burden an already unstable game, and due to boring personal tastes as well.

The thing is last I checked a lot of the Sexout dialogue mods that fit that description seem to be vastly outdated, which wouldn't be a big problem If not for the fact that Sexout itself has been updated far more recently that any of these mods, and from what I was told underwent a significant change too. Now I don't mind using those mods even the way things are, unless there might be better alternatives.

I guess this is where this mod comes in! I seem to remember checking it out a few times in the past, and never once getting it to run correctly...or at least I don't think I did! What I mean is no extra dialogues appearing on any NPCs even though I think I installed all the required add ons that are provided in the DL correctly, hell even that console thingy that was supposed to be used to initiate the mod as a whole (or I think that's what it did) appeared on characters inventory, didn't get it to work though! Goes without saying that this was a way older version, I feel the need to state this seeing as this is probably one of the most up to date mods for NV on this site.

So how does this exactly work, can it be used as a sex initiation through dialogue mod from the get go, or is this more like a platform for other such mods that are not present on this download page?

I seem a bit lost on that one!

Sorry the lengthy post!

Hmh, I tried it out today, and every NPC I met so far (Megaton) was excluded from the Intimacy list. Is there a way to add them to the list manually?

Include already has been set to "All" in the SOI Menu.

Left Shift + Hotkey on an NPC, brings up the NPC manager.  SOI doesn't include any NPCs by itself, unless you enable auto-add.  Even then it will only add NPCs during a performance.  You should check out the documentation included in the package.  You can set up your own profiles and then instantly assign NPCs personality in the console.

Other than that you have to add them manually with the NPC manager.  If you don't use profiles they'll be assigned random personality.  You should use the downloads from the second post for the latest biuld.

Yeah, that did the trick.

Besides that, is it possible to give NPC's certain sets of behaviours and personalities, like for example NPC's /companions who you've just met trying to have immediately sex with you while others will engange in a lot of small talk and other activities before asking you out?

Yes.  The settings included in the profiles.txt are described in the documentation.

Hey T, what exactly causes an NPC to get [Jealousy]? I've ran into it a couple times, but I was curious about what goes into causing the jealousy meter to rise. Does an NPC get jealous if they're interested in the PC, but the PC is paying more attention to another NPC? Or is it more like the PC has nice clothes or is attractive and the NPC gets jealous over that?

Also, if you end up losing your baby courtesy of a housemod auto sorting the kid with all your other inventory items and now you can't find it oooor the baby clipped through the ground after having it and vanished- weird questions, I know- are you able to have another after a cool down period or is it a one and done thing? I just reloaded my auto save in those instances, but was curious.

Jealousy is the result of  the "SOI:Mtr:Infidelity" meter.  It's measured against the "SOI:Atr:Jealous" attribute.  In the context of this mod,  jealousy is the righteous form of envy.  The idea being for example that if someone is wearing their own nicer clothes, that's envy.  If they are wearing your stolen clothes, that's jealousy.

The baby thing I'm not sure. lol  The item is considered a backpack, but I've never had an autosorter actually sort it.  If it fell through the ground I would probably just tfc in the console and move it back to the player.  Yes, you can have another after the cooldown.

I have debugging set to on and the visuals are usually red, but after breaking up with someone and talking to them again its changed to blue. What's the difference in meaning? Am i stuck in the "friend zone" with this npc, i was trying to hook back up with them. I get the fondness and devotion prompts a lot but never past that. I don't seem to get the partner or spouse anymore. It's been quite a while as well. Also the npc initiates conversation incessantly , barely a minute passes and he's initiating dialogue , unless we're in combat or I'm running ahead of my companions.

I am sorry I really tried figuring it all out reading through the DoCs and forum even assumed/tried to use the docs as console commands in game to no avail, but what exactly does mod + diaoulge optonal add/do and more importantly is there a easy set-up guide as I am messing up on something it seems.

I ask because I assume I am doing something wrong as there is talk of decent amount of things possible, but I only got a couple things working/happen.

(Shift + hotkey enable) then hotkey to initiate only brings up casual greeting -> [small talk] no other options or anything.

The only thing else I have learned / done is mess around with clothing making it more appealing etc... and setting home (assume that becomes more important later?).

(see stuff on sex, them initiating, gifts, talking, flirting, relationship, etc... in forum a few posts even above this one).

also tried doing set profile personality console command click npc -> bat filename.txt   and just says can't open file sooo assume this means I am for sure messing up something or was this just something back then you would do ?

*should note* I know it generic and things like small talk is the normal and there not much in real talk, read that maker post even. But again I see nothing on gifts/or other talk options etc...

If the PC breaks up with them, they will become an ex.  This makes them incompatible.  There is also a chance they will switch orientation.  They remember how you treat them long term.  So if the PC wants them back, they have to 'woo' them all over again.

The PC will have to gain their trust.  Drive down their convictions (or just get them drunk), then hit on them and try to put the magic back into the relationship.  It's not easy.  Especially if they have a high willpower attribute.

'Left' shit + hotkey while targeting the NPC.  Though you have to set your hotkey first when you start the mod.

'filename.txt' is a placeholder description.  It doesn't exist unless you named your profile 'filename.txt'.  The template is named 'profile.txt', and you have to edit it and place it in your root directory.  The profile template is located in the documentation 'Docs/SexoutIntimacy/api/profile.txt'.

Been actually slowly getting the hang of getting it to work thanks to older post of yours. like #2177^.  (through console cheating, was using I think i instead of L or missing a space) though yet to have time to try and figure out group or learn all of it.

A couple questions /issues though:

1. How exactly do you set their orientation seems to not always work.

--> NX_SetEVFl "SOI:Rpt:Orientation" 1 ;To find out what her orientation is and set it to 0  (is this part required and if so do you just switch type 0 where 1 is) and is this correct NX_SetEVFl "SOI:Ornt:Bisexual" 1 .

-Been getting it to work sometimes but not other times oddly idk if I am just sometimes skipping a step or what as I have typed it out every way possible this one time and it still did not work and yet worked before.

2. After sex (least rape idk about actual sex yet as ran out of time to play more today) it seems to bug out and lock that character from animations from mod (will show they agree to sex / dance but not do anything), are they suppose to say something after and it not happening

or karma :D (honestly didn't even want to rape not that have issue with it in game at all heck she seemed to like it just joking I think :D, I just couldn't win the rng mini game to get proper sex she kept complaining at last sec and funny enough after rape she showed she liked it seems with non-stop agreeing to sex but again the animations would never play not even rape or dance).

3. Relax and I think Walk Activity don't seem to end (eat/drink seem to end after some time without issue, but even waiting long Real time and 48hr in game don't end Relax and think walk).

--> is there a proper way or console command to end them (read but have Not tested console command usual....Act:duration" will end Actions things like dance, but can't find anywhere a fix for activity.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll just keep em' doped up until his will breaks ? Great work and this mod as well, Love it! Thanks for keeping this relic of a game ( although 1 of my personal favs ) interesting enough to still play regularly.

Hey T, small couple bugs here!

I was doing an activity with Hannigan, and he bugged out. His activity won't end (even after following the manual commands to reset/end activities). I get [activity greeting] each time. No matter what, his activity won't end. It also has locked him out of animations-dancing or sex. It won't even let me reset or deactivate him via shift + hotkey. I can pull up the menu, but reset or disable, doesn't work once the activity gets stuck. I can select them, but nothing happens.

Another one is occasionally when adding in an NPC, the npc gets stuck in an infinite "so and so is busy" loop. Even when they're not doing anything, but standing. You can't select them with the shift + hotkey- the busy message pops up or interact with them via the hot key- same thing, "so and so is busy". They're just permanently locked out of the system.

Without debug info there's nothing I can do except guess.  The busy message 'name is busy' means "SOI:Scn:Action" is set and hasn't fired yet. You could check NX_GetEVFo "SOI:Ref:Topic", NX_GetEVFl "SOI:Act:Approach", NX_GetEVFl "SOI:Act:Talk".  You might also try RemoveScriptPackage.

Hey T, here to bug you again, with mostly inane play questions (sorry). I am trying to make sense of a particular NPCs behavior (personality?) Now, right off the bat, this NPC, has loathed me. All he wants to do is [argue], [insult], and [wrong] -which I have no idea what that means? Is he saying my argument is wrong, or I'm wrong? Which, I have no idea what I'm wrong about. His disposition to me is literally -97, as soon as he was enabled, he got right into arguing with me and insulting me. But then, he turns around and relentlessly hounds my PC making advances and trying to give me gifts. I humored it a bit and did some activities with him, and he still acted like a massive dick. I finally got fed up and have been insulting, ignoring, and just rejecting everything from him, and it makes his disposition of me go up, and cranks up his advances towards me into overdrive? Like, does he enjoy my PC being an absolute bitch at him? Is that a fetish or something?
