murfk Posted August 17, 2014 Author Posted August 17, 2014 Hmm. I don't know of any problems relating to any of those mods. Can you send my a Papyrus log? Done Looks like you have JContainers 3 and SlaveTats 1.0.4, which Dibellan Defender does not yet support. That project is in-progress and should be ready soon, but it's got a bunch of new features, as well, and I'm still debugging it.
johnny2by4 Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 this mod would pair really well with the sisterhood of dibella mod. anyway, really nice. though one question. should there be more then the base magic effect showing up in the magic menu when all tattoos applied? because at this point i can't tell if the mods tattoo effect are working. Yep, your active effect menu should be pretty crowded with Dibellan magic if you've got all the tattoos applied. Are you wearing anything? (heh... never asked that in a public forum before) not wearing anything, but maybe its because i'm using a race replacer for my khajiit character. not sure though since it does list the first effect in the magic effects window, the effect from the dibellan warriors mark. maybe a load order problem, since nothing seems to be overwriting it beyond the tribal tattoo pack. edit: nvm, post directly above me answers my problem. i'm using newer edition of slavetats and jcontainers.
r5e4w3q2 Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Both a slot and art question, Is it possible for me to move two of the tattoos to the back of the left and right hands? Both to free up body slots for other things and the images I would like to use would look better there? Planning on trying out a game with this and http://www.loverslab.com/topic/35483-aradia-devious-now-integrated-into-devious-devices/ Trying to move stuff out of the way so everything is visible

You just have to put the art in the correct place on the UV map, and change the area in the json file to "Hands" However, be aware that the coming-soon version of Dibellan Defender has back of the hand tattoos already.
r5e4w3q2 Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Thank you! I have not started yet so waiting a week or two won't be a problem, I will try to figure out how to modify json files while I wait though. ETA: hmm, looks very simple, well time to see if I can break everything

ETA: hmm, looks very simple, well time to see if I can break everything Yeah, I made it as easy to work with as I could. I think you might have misunderstood me about the back of the hand tattoos, which I my fault for not being clearer. These are new tattoos, not alternate versions of the ones you're already familiar with. Specifically, they let you manifest weapons and a shield.

Will it allow dual wielding instead of a shield?
murfk Posted August 18, 2014 Author Posted August 18, 2014 Yes, you can dual wield with a sword or dagger in either hand.

Thanking you for the reply and information. I got the two moved I was trying for, now fiddling with the idea of trying to create a new effect rather then just moving one... Fortify Unarmed tied to a L-O-V-E tattoo across the knuckles Random thought, wouldn't a mark to summon a weapon be on the palm of the hand rather then the back?
murfk Posted August 18, 2014 Author Posted August 18, 2014 You never see the palms I like the unarmed idea, but I suspect it would be hard to make it compatible with all the various mods that plsy with that: SPERG, SkyRe, etc...
Ep1cL3w7z Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 The new update is great! Any chance a greatsword would be added?
kurotatsu Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Awesome update, but there's so few information about heretics... Can you please add some?
Kitsone Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Thought I'd share (pre 1.2.0) And yes she's a succubus (PSQ). She does usually wear gloves and boots however I thought I'd show off the bodypaint a bit more for the pics.
murfk Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Awesome update, but there's so few information about heretics... Can you please add some? It's a surprise *evil grin* I will say that Dibella is not the kind of goddess who takes back her gifts when you piss her off, but she's not above giving gifts to your enemies. Edit: Basically, being a heretic is the hardcore mode for Dibellan Defender, though it does unlock some benefits, too, like the manifestable axe.
murfk Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 The new update is great! Any chance a greatsword would be added? Yeah, I could do that. I've got the mechanics of manifesting weapons pretty well worked out now. Is there a particular broadsword in the vanilla game that you think would make a good template? Edit: Also, right now I have one weapon for each of the Dibellan Virtues, so from that point of view I'm not sure how another weapon fits in. Suggestions?
Pinute Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I really like the weapon/shield manifestation mechanic, but having the sheath appear as well, floating unattached to the body is a bit jarring. I'm not sure just how easy it is to get around that but, if you can .... maybe use the bound sword nifs?

It's the best solution I could come up with for now.

Perhaps simply checkboxes (one hand or two hand) in the MCM? Speaking of choices, I just realized I need to update Recruit now.
murfk Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Speaking of recruit, adding the tattoos from a script is pretty easy. PM me if you want help with it.

Kitsone Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 I have a bit of a concern about the empty-handedness that the new manifested weapons function off of. That is how it interacts with "Deviously Helpless". It is highly configurable at least so it's not a complete deal-breaker.

That is how it interacts with "Deviously Helpless". It is highly configurable at least so it's not a complete deal-breaker. I don't understand your concern. One of the main triggers for Deviously Helpless is having no weapons/spells equipped (while wearing a devious device). Basically when using manifested items it'll trigger anytime you don't have weapons drawn if wearing any devices. The only saving grace is that you can customize which devices are eligible for triggering Helplessness so you can switch off the devices you may normally wear. Like I said it wasn't a big concern just limits things a bit.
Silver437 Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Hey, I've been having a problem with this mod. I applied all of the tattoos - I chose warrior calling, and a few other random things. I noticed that my wardsign isn't working. My armor rating reads 0 in the inventory screen, and the only active effect I have is "dibella warrior calling." I'll assume the other effects aren't working either. I unequipped all of my stuff except for an amulet and ring. I also use oakflesh to boost armor rating. Am also runing skyre. Any advice?

Send me a Papyrus log. All of the tattoo effects show up in the active effects menu if they're actually operating, and what you're describing is what it looks like when Dibella isn't pleased with your outfit. The log should tell me why.
