Incidentally, there's a slight disconnect in the early stages... before the horse quest whats-her-name the owner mentions that they just have dog and cat acts and they need to branch out... but she actually has the troll, spiders, and a chaurus. Maybe you should start her with nothing but the dog and add quests for the other creatures. The ones you have are fun, I wouldn't mind doing more to fill up the mansion. Twist my arm, already.

I think it's there for the purpose of having fun, as the mod is still in progress of being written and stuff so to not cut out the content much, for our pleasure those animals are there to do fun things until quests to get them will be made...

I'm doing the Horse quest in Solitude, and the Horse is non-interactable for me. I know I did it with this version of this mod before, but I cannot interact with the Horse at all, even as much as I normally can with animals. Is there a way to do it or, failing that, advance to the next stage of the quest?

So, I tried using this mod again, hoping I could figure out a way around a certain enormous problem, but it just isn't working out. No one else seems to be mentioning this, so I'm just clueless. For whatever reason, most of the animals in this mod, starting with the horse and onward, can not at all be interacted with. The option doesn't even show up, as shown in the image provided. What the Hell is wrong with it?!

I know what you mean. Don't bother advancing. I used console commands and the problem just continues. Wait for an update.

I apparently have a bad memory, or was tired when I tried to fix it the first time.

 

I thought I moved it to near bottom of my load order before bothering you guys, but apparently not; checking something else I saw it was higher in load order and moved it down. It worked after that, at least for the Solitude horse.

 

Sorry to bother you guys when I solved it myself, posting this in case it is helpful.

A few days ago i was bored and edited some quest dialog lines. I hope sky_mds doesn't mind if i share this with you. This makes your character act like a crazy slut. Some may like it, some not so much. I thought it was ok when i made them, but the next day i thought they were stupid.. so it's up to you.

No other changes to the quests or mod.

Edited dialog lines are for the next quests:

- Riverwood dog problem

- Horse sale

- dog training with other female

- jarl request

- pleasing Paarthurnax

 

To install: make a backup of your current file and replace it with this one(in skyrim\data) animal_mansion.esp

(I will remove the file if the author tells me to)

UPDATE: V0.5

 

Alright, as I told you I remade all the quests and changed a lot of things.

 

First of all I changed the way you approach animals. With this there should be no more problem with animals not responding.

I changed the starting quest, I made a quest for getting a dog. I changed the bear quest. I added a new party variation and a new side quest.

 

There is also a mcm menu where you can choose your payment, the number of jobs you have to do to advance the main quest and you can set your main quest progress. So if you don't want to play the main quests because you already know them, you can now jump right to the end of the main quest line. One of you requested an option to reset the animals to their rooms. This is also included.

 

Everything was tested and should work. If you make sure you installed everything correctly and have all the requirements, there shouldn't be any problems.

 

Anyway, there is still a lot to do. Some of the main quests still need to be made, a lot of dialogue has to be written and some more side quests and private show / party variations have to be done.

 

I hope this version works out for you and that you have fun playing it.

 

EDIT: I almost forgot. If you have a follower with you, you can also command him/her to do some stuff during the private shows and parties by talking to them. This still needs to be extended to other quests.

Hahahhaa - I love the implementation of follower's involvement. When I don't feel like having sex with animals during the party, I just approach to my female follower and tell her: "I want you to do this instead of me."  And she fucks the animals or man.Thank you sky for this option.

Thank for the update. Let the testing commence! Glad to hear you've added an MCM and return animals function.

 

Have you considered converting the rooms for the animals to more reflect their natural settings?

 

 

- Chaurus, spider, troll, bear rooms changed to be part cave? Maybe lit by mushrooms, so still bright - but a more natural setting for the critters. The spider room could have a large web covering what appears to be a entrance to another cave where it lives... One the player could not break, but the animal can pass through. I should imagine a button to call forth the creatures from this other room would be difficult (time consuming). But having the critter appear from out of sight would be cool and creepy. Also make you question the sanity of the owner and wonder whether any staff have gone missing... that she may not have mentioned to you.

- Maybe the dogs room looks more like someones house?

- The horse never seemed to stand in the stable, preferred to be opposite it the other side of the path to the door.

- The draugr room (think it's it's only purpose), could have the normal chair replaced with a throne on a raised dias for the mysterious guy to sit upon and look more imposing, room lit by corner sconces for example.

 

 

 

Apologies if you have added any of this sort of thing, as this is written before upgrading :D

I'm sure it would look great to have their rooms transformed into what you suggest but it is still basically a normal brothel but for people who want to watch animals and humans. Therefore I think it should be like it is now. Besides I want to finish this mod some day and to get that thing right and good lokking it would take a huge amount of time. So I'm sorry but I won't change that.

When I got the bard and the server and theana demonstrates with the dog my game crashes.

 

For me it workes fine, but after the scene the version 5 ends for me. I can talk to thaena and join as a worker, but she offers no more quests etc. No quests were starting, no guests at the mansion.

Did you install the game on the clean save, ran FNIS?

 

 

 

Yes I did. I managed to get past that scene with a few tricks, however now I'm stuck at a private show. I took the customer to the dog. The dog has an arrow above its head, but I cant do anything. the quest keeps saying ''Take the client to the animal'' but we're right next to the animal

 

Ok I fixed that by going to another room. However the game still crashes when another character (so not the player) interacts with an animal.

 

Started a clean save (again). Now it works, great mod!

Well, i think i found the problem. your base setting in the mcm menu causes it. you need 5 jobs to reach lvl 1, but you dont do 5 jobs till main quest with the dog starts. I lowered the required random quests and now it works.

I got a few problems. I dont know if the mod already have the quest of the sabrecat and the others, but for me, they dont start. i had to use mcm to complete the main quest to have the other animals.

 

Another thing that dont work, is the strange guy in the basement. i only see the 4 draugr and no stranger, the quest doesnt even start.

 

On the things that work, excelent job. trully enjoy it. i like more this main quest, the dog one nice improvement, the bear much better. ladies night excelent.

 

Keep up this nice mod

"The Party" quest is bugged for me. I have to end the party by talking, but I can't talk to the person. Can I get a quest ID so that I can manually progres?

 

Theala and the guests are now walking on random roads along the map.

Dragur issue - draugr's should be present before the strange guy because he's the one who summons them. Try to reload the previous save and restart the quest.

 

Note: if you installed the game on clean save, you had to use save cleaner tool to clean the save from dirty files.

I did that before the upgrade, and I tested all private parties. The strange guy worked for me. So, when you get this quest, he should wait for you alone in the basement.

It is a clean save. When i tak with Thaela and she speaks about the quest and i accept it, the quest dont start, and i go the to basement and the draugr are already there, but not the strange guy. on the pervious version was fine for me the quest. on this version no
