Rumored Fallout 4 In The Next E3

I agree, a new Fallout would be great, would probably even pre-order the PC version as soon as I could.

However, if they decide to make it a Free to Play MMORPG... I'll probably turn in my pip boy back to ... Interplay

I've read it was another fake because on the announcement there was written Bethesda Softworks LCC instead than LLC...

I don't know, I really hope in a new chapter... but in the meantime, there's still NV with plenty of things to mod! :)

The LCC thing was on screenshots of a non-standard GECK posted to the Fallout wiki.  That being said, I've worked with a few major company's internal tools and splash screens and stuff do have the occasional typo.

The only thing fueling the E3 rumors are some unknown blogger who said he knows what Microsoft is putting out there for the Xbone announcement.  The games they're claiming all make sense as things that would be announced, so we'll just have to wait and see if it's nonsense or not.

I don't believe in anything anymore. They will announce when it's time.

Although I think it be real funny (and sad) if they announce Elder Scrolls 6 instead. Imagine the rage...

Or the first expansion of TES Online. You will never know... :dodgy:

That's one thing I don't like about Bethesda's media team. They don't like to confirm nor deny anything, but also tell us to believe only what they say... but since the game would be coming from them, its a reasonable command.

I guess they're just playing it safe, commenting on rumors does tend to get harry with publishers, especially if its rumors about a rather popular game series and even more so if they're about the release a new game as well.

I just hope a Fallout 4 (or just another legitimate Fallout game) comes out someday. I also hope its not console only, like some publishers are seeming to lean towards. Kinda doubt that though, considering everything else Bethesda releases does come out on the PC. Though, it would be nice of the next fallout game isn't a console port, but rather a dedicated PC version. (I know its more work but it would be better for the player, IMO)

That's what all PR departments do these days in regards to rumors. Why denying something that fuels the interest?

Anyway <flashbacks from FO3>...

:s Christ... I'm not sure if I do look forward to another Fallout by Bethesda. Their writing is just SO shit nowadays.

My idea is after the great success of Skyrim they always will give priority to TES, six, seven, eight, online, offline... I don't know numbers or how much it sold etc. but I guess they follow the trend and work on what a greater number of people want. While fallout was a great success, I don't think it took the same percentage of people compared to skyrim. At least it's what I notice here, fallout is quite "elite" compared to skyrim, I've heard people saying "I don't like fallout", I never heard people saying "I don't like skyrim", which is played by everyone. Yes late 2015, if not later, maybe it's even a bit optimistic.

I can't see Zenimax sitting on an IP like Fallout for long, but I think its quite possible they will outsource Fallout 4 (maybe without the '4'), and let Bethesda do more TES, which is their baby. Hopefully Obsidian will be the ones to get it, but I wouldn't count on it, I think business politics will decide.

It might or might not be on the same engine as SKyrim's. I only hope that it goes a bit more serious on a post-apocalypse theme style.

It better not be. That stupid engine basically ruined Skyrim for me.

Fallout New York?

Eh. I think they might lean towards Boston, I know, it was part of that 2299 hoax, but still they made some pretty useable ideas about the Boston Institute and the commonwealth Possibly somewhere in Canada, considering that the USA annexed the place before the bombs fell, any survivors would most likely be very bitter about it. [All hypothetical mind you]

All Bethesda open-world games since Morrowind use the same engine, they only change its name.

The same base Gamebryo engine but not the same implementation. FNV neither included scripts in save files nor completely shat itself if the fps ever went over 60.

Gamebryo does'nt include scripting or the ESP format. Nor the physics. And now, with Skyrim, no longer the animations. All is left is the rendering IFAIK nad the NIF format.
