I've tried APB, but in the end I still find the game having huge problems like hit detection, and overrall lack of developpement because of a small and greedy team. I tried Path of Exile which is a good game, but as you may know, you have 0 choices about your character (appearance). Is there any game with decent graphics that let me create my character as I see fit? Diablo-esque game would be great but the majority just give you a standard character, often cliches and you're stuck with that. Hello blond paladin. So far, I've tried : Aion APB Age of Conan The Secret World Defiance Dota2 League of Legends Firefall Path of Exile Diablo 3 Saints Row 3/4.

I also think Rift has a decent character creation but I don't think it has the best gameplay in the world. You certainly raised the bar with all those games you mentioned, specially Saints Row 3/4, Aion and APB, which have, in my opinion, a really good character customization.

In fact I just want to be able to create a character with dark skin + long black hair, but most games just go with the terrible cliches like blondies paladins and stuff. I might try TERA, I've never really seen how the character creator really works nor the actual gameplay.

P.S.: Totally forgot about Neverwinter. Although I don't like the game in general (pay to win, not truly open-world) and although it runs like s#it on my PC, it does have a good customization.

Yea that's what I noticed after a while, when I bought a m4a1 rifle. Still, worst shop I've seen in every genre of game.

Yes I have, even preordered a Deluxe edition, but I played as male Charr. Couldn't stand the invasion of blondes female humans/norns. I left last december because despite many threads about the lack of freedom on how you create your builds and how you are stuck with weapon skills presets, I just left. I hate to be forced to play something to be efficient. Game's really not good as Guild Wars 1. The only MMO I'm waiting for may be Blade & Soul but even then I think they all don't bring anything new to the table, for the major part that is.

You're right there, GW1's character editor may not be as good as GW2's same with its graphics but everything else is so much better. I don't really have any recommendations for you other than Forsaken World.

Tera gameplay becomes stale after a while. For all it's flashy colors and twitch reflex based shit, it has the least depth I've ever seen in a game outside of CoD.

I played the Japanese version with an English patch for a while, but the english community was filled with not very fun people. At least I learned some hiragana while I was at it.

You can change the skills to what you want to play. And many other things, okey you can only wear one or a bit more/other weapons. But I still like to play GW1, because, if you finish something, then you know that you'll get a good reward for it like the whole selection of the Elite armors or the legendary chests after some dungeons. Or the three different countries, men, that was as great as the underworld Yes I play sometimes GW2, but only WvW or PvP, because I dont like the PvE's in that game and even the events cant hold me long. They're so boring. I hope it'll be better after the lvl 90 patch with new areas and lots of other new stuff. They should release the Underworld, Elona and Cantha for GW2.... I think it lacks the incentive for the farming and finishing quests, because the reward is ever the same... nothing special. Its not worth to invest so much time in GW2 EDIT Oh and did you tried Star Trek Online ? I know its old, but still good and the character creation there is really great. By far the best that I know. And I tried more than other 30 MMO's..... From Aion to Tera and further I think I played almost every MMORPG And lots of other games with an allegedly "good" character creation.

Nail on the head. APB is just another "pay-to-win" corporate greed machine. Yet the retarded masses still throw money at it. I gained great personal enjoyment from beating the hell out the pay-to-wins with their custom gear, while I used game money only. Then it got boring after a couple months of the same old cash-grinding. Being a lonely sniper is fun only for so long.

I'm not a fan of Star Trek but I'll check it out, it hasn't to be a MMO though, I'm especially looking for a "Diablo clone" without cartoony graphics like Torchlight 2. Yet, in the demo of Torchlight 2 you could change the skin/hair color of your character: it's exactly what I'm looking for but I can't get into it because it reminds me too much of WoW.. I heard about Grim Dawn and devs saying they will add some hairstyles/faces/skin colors in a near future but it's the same thing for all Early Access games, promises and nothing more You could buy guns in APB? I thought you rented guns just like in every other mmo. Just paying real money meant you rented it longer by a few days. Yea, I bought one and I regret it now. The game still has decent playerbase last time I checked but the business model is just trash.
