gooser Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 http://erkeilmods.altervista.org/skyrim/populated-series-new-team/ I just noticed today that all the "Populated..." mods were missing from Nexus.
Guest Ragna_Rok Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 check the "banned from nexus" thread, read the posts from about the 17th february. youre welcome
cornbreadtm Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Erkeil ask to have them be taken down when he got banned. He let them get reuploaded though. Not hard to find the reuploads have been on hot files for the past 2~3 weeks.
pinky6225 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 http://erkeilmods.altervista.org/skyrim/populated-series-new-team/ I just noticed today that all the "Populated..." mods were missing from Nexus. Noticed that myself, i have the 1.23 version of populated towns and cities but when i looked on nexus I was unable to find the current version 1.25
cornbreadtm Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 To be honest I was hoping he'd come over here or AFK after Relliosavini got banned. I don't really like to have to check 5 sites a day for mod updates. (lazy mans excuse)
quin666 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Another victim of Nexus hammer.. Don't understand why people trust Nexus. Best upload mods to another website just be on safe side. Better safe than sorry but people never learn.
gvman3670 Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 He could always upload stuff here to have a backup plan. Right? I know that if I was releasing mods I'd want them on the Nexus since they get so much traffic, but I'd be sure to use another site or two as well.
Guest Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 To be honest I was hoping he'd come over here Erkeil was here last september, but never see him around since then. Best way to find the latest updates are the Altervista or Beth forum

Rayblue Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 http://erkeilmods.altervista.org/skyrim/populated-series-new-team/ I just noticed today that all the "Populated..." mods were missing from Nexus. Erkeil got pwned because of alleged sock puppetry. The Italian who made the Populated mods but uploaded ERSO also got blackballed by the admins who think it's Erkeil in disguise. The matter could've been avoided by creating a free site for the "flagged" mods in the first place, but the Italian decided to take the risk.
Deep Red Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Can't say I'm surprised judging how the admins have been swinging the ban hammer left and right lately. I only use the Nexus to get mods and rarely comment or post on their forums. Call me a leech, but honestly it isn't worth the trouble saying something even remotely intelligent on there.
Rayblue Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 They just shoot first, ask questions later.
miketheratguy Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 I'm new to LL but have been a member of the Nexus for six years. These politics fascinate me.
Vancien Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 In my opinion, another site needs to be quietly created where all mod authors are encouraged to upload their mods to. A site that is better moderated, more user friendly and isn't run on a potato. No, this site should be run on at least three. As a strong community here, we could certainly get the word out. A few SE Optimization tweaks and a Google search would do a great deal of work. If I had the money currently, I'd invest and start this as a new business venture. Although, I don't believe there is really a ton of money to be made from it, I look at it more as a community service. I hope somebody gets behind this. I dread even going to Nexus anymore to download a mod again. It takes forever for pages to load if they even ever do and then 98% of the downloads fail anyway. It's a royal pain.

The same for me, i don't want to upload anything anymore. Don't want to risk the banhammer on my face. For me, the Nexus is only a source of mods not found elsewhere and to follow stories (Kpunt, Jupman, Jonas66, Jim_uk, Cornell, ...).
Guest Ragna_Rok Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 *cough* ... TESA is also a nice little place ... for storing mods i mean.
Claynation01 Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 before i came here Nexus was the only place i knew about and i didn't notice any thing like this going on but probably just cause all i did was download mods and not take part in any of the forum banter or even post there, since i came here though the Nexus seems like a scary place to go D:
Guest Ragna_Rok Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 ... in a really sick fucking twisted way they are.
rance Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Indeed. It's almost as if they're trying to look who bans the most people.
Guest Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I'd dearly love to see Nexus get it's nose flattened by some really viable alternatives, I'm often genuinely quite offended by how it goes about handling people. What makes my skin crawl is the weird cult of personality vibe that goes with the the ultra conservative zero tolerance. Oh, and there's a hive mind thing too, it's so apparent when you look at the comments that follow that dark fellow's pulpit eulogies - "we agree, we agree, we agree..." EW! I never see a mod deftly attempting to nudge things in the right direction, it's always a chain mailed fist mashing a face, never an explanation for the community like "we're working to resolve some issues related to site rules", always a big orange "BANNED" with the inevitable ridiculously over the top snarky comment that reeks of some jumped up wing nut asshole taking pleasure in cutting other people off from a valued source. It's insides are all wrong.
Benmc20 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 When i think to that, i can remember that before the Nexus staff was more tolerent. Don't know why they are changed to this point. Religious lobbying maybe ? Other thing ? Loverslab has a far better community than Nexus for now.
Scythion Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 The most hilarious moment for me, when they censured LL.
