Needs moobs, and a complete body retexture. He looks like a fat guy wearing one of those hilarious t-shirt with a six pack & abs printed on. Can't wait to see jelly rolls with HDT jigglies... or... yeah, I probably can wait for that actually. Should be a good way to provide some much needed variety though.

As for SoS support... maybe have them equippable/compatible, but don't show the mesh & textures, so they'd be innies instead of outies.

OK, just to be a pain in the ass and play devil's advocate, I'd like to point out that historically the look in that mod is a relatively modern development.  It's a combination of modern society having too much leisure time and a horrid diet.  The amount of sugar in the modern diet is insane.  Something like 100 times what it was in the 1800s in the US if I recall correctly.

The type of bodies you see in Skyrim ARE more realistic (but not totally realistic) than this mod.  You get out, trek 5 miles to hunt, kill a moose and drag the carcass back that entire five miles then go chop enough firewood to keep from freezing to death the next few days, trust me, you WILL be in shape, lol.

Again, just being a pain in the butt here.  If you like it, use it.  Just realize it's no more accurate (since Syrim is based loosely on ancient viking culture) than an Anime mod.  Nothing wrong with either though.

I would claim bodybuilder musculature to be even less realistic for historic times than fat was. I have seen portraits of strong men and fat men, but the strong men were not bodybuilder types.

Being fat was a status symbol. It was a show of wealth: "I can eat enough to get fat! I AM RICH!"

Getting bodybuilder muscles without modern techniques and nutrition and whatnot is pretty damn hard. Strong men were generally

somewhat fat as well, though wiry strenght with less muscle to show was far far more common.

Don't think this place is really aimed for realism, though.

Now, how can I get some npc's to be fat bastards? Would love to see a few here and there, not a lot though.

If anyone is into realism this big belly body is more realistic than even the vanilla bodies. At least when the guy is not working out in a gym every day and always eating according to a individually fitted nutrition plan. I'm sure Hadvar does no spinning, military press, bench press, curls, situps etc. or run around in tights and gym shirt all day long, eating tons of high protein stuff and drink special shakes...

Another good idea would be an average male body. Not thin, not fat, just - well, average. No chiseled muscle definition like you would see them on greek statues, a little (!) belly (so no abs), overall strong physique, yes, but NOT bodybuilder or super athlete style.

The most realistic would be large variety of body shapes all over Skyrim.

BTW: Bodybuilders, especially when they are in the acute phase of a competition, are not strong. They dehydrate and eat very sparsely before a competition so that every little muscle, vein and tendon shows. It's all about the looks, not physical strength. So these Better Males bodies may be eyecandy, but they are unrealistic. No smith or farmer or any other man in this (sort of) medieval style game without the conveniences of our time and culture would look like them.

(BTW: No offense to the ladies or the gay people around here: I understand the need for eyecandy very well.)

Same for the female bodies. If there's something that I like about human beauty it is realism and authenticity. Where are the ladies with a little sexy mini-belly, a normal waist that has room for the inner organs, a nice handful and a nice ass with little love handles?

The Mods hidden, can anyone re-upload the mod here?

this version of the male body is compatible with SOS full vers. (add manually on a follower with SOS MCM menu) compatible with XMPSE skeleton 2.82 or new v3.0

SOS FatBastard male body meshes: attachicon.gifFatBastardWS_1.nif attachicon.gifmalebody_0.nif

Enjoy..! ^_^

I remembered using this mod a long, long time ago but if I recall correctly there was a horrible SOS, neck & arm seam with it.

How do you about using the two .nifs again (i.e. where to put them, how to activate)? I forgot :P

That's the Strange Followers mod isn't it?

Could this be usable on regular male NPCs? I don't think just placing these two nifs under meshes/characterassets is enough, right?

:P

make a backup copy of your nif file for male body, try not cost anything.. :)

hmm :/ Doesnt work for me, everyone still has the original skyrim body.
