Do you have some dialog altering mod? At the moment, it looks as though he isn’t talking to Valga. So he not have quest active. 1

It work well up to the point the guard greet me, ask a few question and tells me to pay the border fee, but the communication stopped there and nothing else. I tried all the dialogue options, but he does not go any further. I have over 2000 septimes , so it cannot be a money issue. I just don't have any dialogue to pay the guard. So I cheated 😳. I was too curious and use a setstage to progress the quest 🫣. Thanks again for your help 👍

Does your companion belong to a custom race? Are you playing as a race other than the standard ones? The reason it might be cutting off during the border fee dialogue is that it isn't recognizing the conditions—specifically, whether the PC is male or female, or whether the companion is female. Alternatively, if the companion is supposed to be female, select them and check SexLab to see if they are actually listed as female.

Location of custom bodies: Data\meshes\Animal Mansion Reborn\Body Simply copy and paste the files from Data\meshes\actors\character\character assets femalebody.tri femalebody_0 femalebody_1 femalefeet.tri femalefeet_0 femalefeet_1 femalehands.tri femalehands_0 femalehands_1 And remember that you’ll need to do the same for other NIF files with different names. It was one of my followers, it was from a mod and they were male followers. Not sure witch on it was. I manage to get the dialogue and move on. Thanks again 👍

Qureen Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Hi @Gristle and @killer905 I was wondering if you were still taking recommendations for the mod? I have a few ideas, but was unable to write them down in the original thread as I had not gotten them written down, and still haven't totally finished writing them down. Can I post them here? My ideas are generally for later in the quest line quests that act as their own shorter questlines. Also, thank you for the good work on the mod! I have played most of the available content already and it is great! I am looking forward to see where it goes! The animal mansion mod was always one of my favorites and I am glad you are reviving it! I have enjoyed your previous work with Animal Research and Balazar's Bitch. One of my ideas would take place after the bear or sabre cat quest, and would involve starting a branch of the animal mansion. The spoiler will have the idea I have for the start of a questline: Spoiler Quest 1 (An Inciting Offer): You or Thaena get a letter from a client asking to have a business meeting when no one other than you and Thaena are around, they offer 10,000 gold to close the mansion down for the day for the discussion. If you don't you will get another offer after every main quest completed. If you agree, you set a time to meet in 3 days in a VIP room (or any better room for a meeting that I may not know). You then have the choice to work and wait with Thaena (which would just fade to black until the set time and you'd earn some gold) or wander around for the few days and you get a reminder to get to the mansion 24 and 12 hours before the meeting time. 30 minutes before the set time a figure in clothes that hide their gender and face arrives on a horse with 2 female guards. The figure enters with the guards and talks to you saying they are here for the business meeting. You take them to a VIP room and clear out the other guests. The guards wait outside. The figure, before taking off any of their equipment gets promises from both of you that you will not tell people they came here. Once that happens the figure takes off their outer layer and mask showing Maven or Ingun Black-Briar. The choice is yours but here are my thoughts on why they would be there: Maven would be there to get her fingers in this new business to make more money Ingun would be there because she would be interested like she is in Animal Research (maybe if that quest, and any others she is involved with after it are completed she has some unique dialogue). Or you could do both, Ingun was interested then got Maven on board or something. Then they go over their proposal. They secretly own a plot of land a bit outside of Riften where they want to make a similar establishment. This land could be near the Black-Briar manor, could be on the border with Morrowind or similar If Maven is not there or isn't the Jarl, there is also a dialogue asking how will the Jarl be convinced to allow this establishment. They say they want your help to ensure the success of the business and only ask for a 25-50% cut and to keep their involvement secret. They start with 50% and can be convinced down to 25% with 5 successful check (each taking 5% off) When you agree, they go into more specifics. First, where exactly the plot of land is, what facilities are already there (if any, more on this in a bit), how much they are going to put forward to help you get you going, though you will have to pay that amount back to them eventually (profits from their cut do not count), and what other support they can provide (for example the two guards they brought with them will be handed over to the mansions payroll). Before they leave they ask to see a demonstration of your services and a demonstration on how you can teach others. This leads to sex with 2-3 creatures. Then for the teaching demonstration they bring in one, or both, of their guards and have you teach them how to have sex with a dog. They may even want to try themselves. Finally they leave. When they leave, if the Jarl needs to be convinced, they say they expect work on the mansion to start in the next two weeks. If the Jarl doesn't need to be convinced, then they say they expect work to begin in the next week and you skip over the convincing the Jarl section. To convince the Jarl you have to go to them and talk with them. If Maven is in power she has heard of your manor and how much money it is making for Falkreath in tax and visitors and is willing to allow you build your branch in the Rift. If Laila is in power she requires you to show off what you are offering, she brings out two dogs and has you show your skills. Then she finally makes you pay 2,500 gold for a license. Finally you return to Thaena and she has found a new employee to teach to be a manager who she will train. Then the quest ends. The employee could also be provided by the sponsor. Quest 2 (The First Branch): The next quest takes you to the branch stores location where there are 5 people, 2 of which are the guards from the previous mission. The three others could either be generic workers there to build the mansion or 3 workers who then may work at the mansion. When looking around you see the noted facilities that are already there. I was originally thinking there would be no facilities and you'd have to build them. If there are facilities, there should still be some work to do. Maybe refurbishing the facilities, expanding them, and or adding new ones. I also was thinking that the facility could be fully in a cave, and just outside of it, similar to Cragslane Cavern but that would be a choice for you to make. You then choose the first thing you do on the facilities, and provide the materials, or money for that first build. You can then either help or leave. If you help you fade to black and the facility is updated, if you leave then you get a letter in some number of days saying the facility is updated. You then can start on the next facility. So on and so fourth until you are done with all the upgrades. After each facility is built, you can go to Riften, or somewhere else, to find someone who you can order the furniture for that facility from. After all facilities are finished, you need to tell Thaena and she sends over the new manager who she trained. You then have to go find employees to run the facility. (See below for my quest idea) At the same time you need to get some animals. (See below for my quest idea) The morning after getting the final required animal you start getting customers. The quest then ends. Gathering Employees Quest: Get a task from the new manager to gather employees There are a few ways I could see this going none are mutually exclusive: Post fliers in inns around Skyrim to get applicants. Post fliers in 10-20 inns around Skyrim. Some inn keepers may not want to allow you to post due to the nature of your business. This can be overcome in a few potential ways: Pay them (500-2,500 gold depending on how opposed to it they are) Persuade them (easy to hard again depending on how opposed to it they are) Have sex with them (may have to do it more than once to convince them) Show them what you do (may not work if they are very opposed and they may kick you out of the inn) The people who helped build/renovate the facilities join. Ask the workers if they want to join. Some may, some may not. (Content warning: Slavery) You find or are introduced to a slave merchant and get employees from them. To me this would be talking to the slaves and asking if they would be willing to work for you, and they could earn their freedom. Though this may not fit super well with the overall theme of the mod I thought I'd add it as an option. It could also be optional. Spoiler has the quest idea: Spoiler If you choose to do it, you get asked to find or are introduced to a slave merchant. When interacting with the merchant you tell them about what you are doing. They seem interested and say that they'd be willing to sell you any slaves. You add the stipulation that they must be willing participants as the mansion is about pleasure not punishment. Also they will be able to be freed eventually. They agree and bring out 5-10 female slaves. And says these are the ones you will have to ask if they are willing they have a special one to introduce you to after. They then announce that you may buy them and free them eventually if you work for them but does not tell them what the work will be, leaving that to you. You talk with each of the slaves on their own (maybe in a separate room). Some are disgusted by what you are doing Some are unsure and asks if they could have a demonstration before deciding. After the demo some may join you and some may be disgusted. Finally some seem interested and are willing to do it. After talking will all the slaves, those who decided to join you stay in the room with you. This next section only happens if you already have the sabre cat in the original mansion. Then the trader takes you, and all those who decided to join you to a separate area where a khajiit slave and a sabre cat are. When you enter, they are mid sex. After they are done (they don't mind an audience) they say they are very interested in joining you so long as their companion comes as well. You then finalize your deal with the trader and pay 750 gold per slave and 1250 for the khajit and sabre cat (if you get to buy them). Finally you tell the trader if they find any more people who would be interested in working for you to let you know. This would allow the player to get the khajit later. After getting enough help return to the new manager and hand them over for training (which could be a quest itself). Obtaining Animals for initial opening: Get a task from the new manager to obtian some animals for this location. Starting with the easy ones. Dogs and horses can just be purchased like in the main quest (maybe no need for breeding this time). For some go to the companions: Aela for wolves Njada for a Deer Ria for a Bear After collecting animals return to the new location. Then the questline can continue to get more animals (I have a few ideas for these I can expound on if you would like). A Side Quest idea for this questline (Secret Tunnel): Your backer sends you a letter asking for you to create a hidden passage to a certain location so they can sneak in and have fun at the mansion. The hidden passage leads to a secret area of the basement. To dig the passage you can either do it yourself, or pay your employees to do it. After the passage is done, you must go to your backer to tell them it is done. I also have ideas similar to this, though the quest lines would be different enough to where I think it would not be repetitive, for some of the other holds of Skryim and some other side quest ideas. I also understand some of the ideas could/would be quite difficult to implement, I just wanted to give my thoughts about what I would like to see and would find interesting.

We’re still accepting ideas for quests. It may well be that a quest based on your idea – or in a different form – will appear. Looking at the items that get unlocked, it would be fine after the bear. My thoughts: - The sum of 10,000 is quite high - Maven doesn’t quite fit here, but Ingun would still make sense, though it might clash with the storyline in Animal Research - We’re not planning to build another building dedicated to the same thing (in Skyrim). If anything, it’s an illegal version, but we’ve already come up with an idea of sorts – eliminating the competition after they tried to force Thaena to shut down her business because they’re taking her earnings. - Thaena clearly said ‘no slaves’ In short, the idea is fine, but unfortunately, the format of the quests wouldn’t generally fit into the mod in this form. Alternatively, it could be adapted into an illegal version of the Mansion, and the initial quest was intended to ensure that the Mansion is actually involved in this and to identify who is taking the profits from the illegal operation. The only thing is, Gristle would also have to give his thoughts on this idea.

I also understand Maven not quite fitting, I added her because she seems to be someone who would do anything to make some money. Additionally, I think that her backing Ingun for one reason or another could potentially work. Quote We’re not planning to build another building dedicated to the same thing (in Skyrim). This makes a ton of sense! Quote Thaena clearly said ‘no slaves’ Honestly that part of the idea just popped into my head and isn't my favorite idea overall. I like the idea of the illegal version of the mansion. Similar to what happens in the Riften section of Balazar's Bitch when you get captured. There are many interesting ways you could go with an illegal version of the mansion. Thank you for your feedback. I likely will post some more ideas here.

DragonDweller611 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago i have a quest idea dont know if its a good one but i was thinking something simple like sapphire in riften is lonely but no lover excites her so you introduce her to dogs or something and maybe camilla isn't interested in faendal and the bard dude so she tries a horse or is maybe already in love with a horse kinda just finding people out there who already like animals or maybe didnt know it was there thing but hid it away apologies if its already been discussed

As for Camillia, I don’t think it’s a good idea for her to be a creature lover.

If anything, it’s an illegal version, but we’ve already come up with an idea of sorts – eliminating the competition after they tried to force Thaena to shut down her business because they’re taking her earnings. Hmm, eliminating the competition. Cragslane Cavern immediately comes to mind as a potential rival operation that could be taken out. Drawing on the original "Wolf Club" mod concept—but toning down the grimness a bit—the player could receive information (via Aela or a job board) about a club that captures wolves and women to make money by staging shows featuring the captives. I believe Shor's Stone is closer to Cragslane Cavern than Riften is; the player could meet someone there whose wife was abducted by the bandits and spotted at an event in the cavern. I wouldn't even need to make major changes to the cave itself, other than adding one or two female NPC captives. The player would travel there with one of the fighters from the villa, eliminate the bandits, and rescue the people being held as slaves. Inside the cave, you could place a letter hinting at the schemes of someone who wants to harm the villa.

Or maybe something else for the Thieves' Guild? I think we have three women in this guild: Sapphire, Vex, and Tonilia. Let's say there are eight chests (or even more). Each NPC/PC must choose one of them and find a specific item inside. Those who find nothing will be attacked by a creature, e.g., a troll, bear, horse, or dog (Note: Of course, it would be worth using a creature that Masnion already has in his portfolio). And I completely agree with you about Camillia; she's not really suited to being an animal lover, especially since her role in Dibella's Love Mod as a potential worshipper of Dibella's suits her better.
