Scarlett Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 My Skyrim ONLY EVER Crashes when I use Sexlab Mods? I could use like all the non-adult mods I want, but OHO, you want a sex mod eh? No Sex mod for you! Here is a screenshot of my mods I am using: (you cannot see the unofficial patch mod, etc)
NexusVetX94 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 im having the same problem from time to time have you downloaded framework 1.38? that really helped me and its more than likely not your system because my system is a poor excuse of a gaming platform i get 15 fps max oh and i usually put all my sexlab mods on top in my load order p.s any tips for extra fps?
gvman3670 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 It's the sheer amount of scripting you've got going on. Throwing SL mods into the mix is just too much for the game or your system. You need to dial it back on those scripted mods a bit and make some room for SL (if you want that in your game). And of all SL mods good ol' SD is the beast of beasts. It can make a game rather unstable (or at least it did so I haven't even tried messing with it for a while now). All those "immersive" mods in your list are pretty heavily scripted. I'd cut back on those and then just find a couple/few SL mods you really enjoy. I find the only way my games end up stable enough to actually play is when I keep the scripting to only what I need to acheive the desired effect on my game play experience. The problem with this is that your game is now tied in to those scripts. You can't just remove any of those scripted mods without breaking your game. If you've already removed any then that alone could be the source of your problem. Find what you really can't live without, add those at the beginning of a play through, then play. Maybe try new stuff on the next run since this can change the experience for the next play through.
metagoura Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I have this problem too, and there doesn't seem to be a fix for it.

I have 1.38, And my system is fine :l Can play it on ultra - 60 FPS. It's the sheer amount of scripting you've got going on. "Script heavy" mods are most clearly distinguishable by the addition, alteration, and expansion of gameplay mechanics as one of their features. Scripting is what allows a devious devices chastity belt to be a chastity belt and not simply a weird clothing item. Scripting is what allows frostfall to kill you with hypothermia. Mods that are "heavily scripted" have a lot of stuff going on "under the hood" in order to facilitate the changes the mods brings about in-game.
XunAmarox Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I think it is something dirty about the sex mods (no pun intended). When I had them I'd CTD fairly frequently regardless of having heavily scripted mods or not... eventually it'd just start CTDing. Even with the same load orders but minus sexlab/lover's comfort and such but on a new clean fresh save it's CTD free. So yeah... I definitely think there's something up with them. I wouldn't use them for any kind of serious playthrough anymore. I'd just put them on when you want to mess around then revert to your previous save after you're done. But for me that was pointless since I only really had it for the added immersion of sex with the spouse when sleeping and such but if I had to lose my progress or install/uninstall every time I wanted to do that then that'd be too much of a hassle. A lot of heavily scripted mods also definitely makes your save unstable. They overload papyrus at some point and it just crashes the game. And never uninstall scripted mods on a play you care about because that'll do more harm down the line than leaving it would have due to the CTD's it'll eventually cause due to the scripts being baked into your save and keep trying to get called and can't and filling up papyrus just as much as when they were active. Also, I'd definitely avoid "cleaning" your official bethesda esm files... that causes all kinds of CTD's even when done right. I recently just backed up my entire folder then reinstalled fresh and the only thing I didn't copy over were my esm files and the game went from CTDing every few minutes to no crash for like a good 4 hours, if any.
gvman3670 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I see, What exactly does heavily scripted mean, how can you tell if a mod is "heavily scripted"? Take something like immersive patrols, for example, and how it reaches out a given distance from your character's position (and this can change depending on how many grids you're loading) and the game engine starts looking for them then running their scripted behaviors. Let's say you have convenient horses, immersive patrols, cold and wet, footprints, and SL mods (with SoS effecting NPCs' arousal states). Now out any given distance the game engine has to make all the calculations for the NPCs (whether they're cold or not, putting their footprints down, moving horses, getting them ready to ambush you and giving them all hardons ), and this is all running in the background. Things like body types, mesh/texture replacers, armor/clothing mods, added flora and the like aren't scripted and have no calculations compiling in the background, they only change what it loaded in a cell as you enter the cell.
itt1968 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I cant play mine with better vampires... it runs (my rig is pretty good) but it takes forever for the sneak att feed to kick in (with an I7 processer !!). as soon as I uninstalled it and got it tweeked in... no problems at all!! I'm using 7 of the Sexlab mods... they do work... and near flawlessly(no joke). just a side note... having a lot of stuff in your inventory will also crash your game so try to keep that to a min. if you can especially when entering or leaving a cell... it can also cause corrupted saves and verrrrrrrry slow load times.
azmodan22 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Lets start from the begginng :-)... When you say that the game crashes with sex mods... does it crash EVERY SINGLE TIME? or is that you did manage to make , say .. 1 animation to work? Because to be honest, from the shortcuts I see in your taskbar, well I don't see FNIS anywere and I am pretty sure, that all of us who keep installing/uninstalling mods for sexlab have both FNIS and SKSE loader as a shortcut. So, I'll be the one to ask the stupid question. Do you have FNIS and SKSE?
GodSmack Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 your list looked alot like mine a few months back, i eventually had to uninstall skyrim and reinstall it. i recommend taking things out that have no real impact on the actual gameplay or the sex mods (IE, water texture, high rez textures, script heavy mods you dont use and heavy ENBs also cause so issues tho its rare) you may think you need them, but unless u are doing screenshots 24/7 they aren't REALLY needed (says with a pained face) Edit: keeping under 120+ mods never hurts either

...0... Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Don't use to many scripted mods Don't use to many high textures(unless high end system) It also depend on your system how much vram or do you play on laptop? Don't always believe what people say on the internet If some mods place in wrong order or not cleaned and your save is corrupted you keep getting errors and CTD. Save in single cell with no NPC around so your save is clean. Background programs cn couse crashes. OC your cpu or videocard can give crashes. Tweak ini wrong. Many boost or enhance programs can couse crashes. So many more things. Thats why always slowly and carefully install mods read up the readme's of mod makers and make sure mods wrk together. Some mods maybe for longtime not update can couse CTD. CTD reasons.rar
Scarlett Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 Yes, I have SKSE and FNIS, they are just not pinned to my task bar, but they are a shortcut, The desktop you see with the angel, is my second desktop, not my main one. I doubt it is because of my gaming Rig, It's good, with all the top texture mods I still get 60 FPS. Sex works, and the mods work, but every once in a while my Skyrim will crash. I removed Sanguine's Debauch, seems to have helped a lot.

pinky6225 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 You have a crap ton of massive mods. The Water mods, Immersive ones, the NPCs (300 I think?) And yes, SD is pretty powerful. I can run 170+ mods, but throwing SD in with half that causes some CTDs. Also, the High Res Pack is horrible for CTDs. Glad you kept it off I have the high res packs and not noticed more CTD's, how are they meant to be horrible?

I think he means that IF you are running mods that change the graphics and the high res packs, it causes more CTD, since if you have an ENB or something of that nature you don't need the high res packs.
KingSergiu Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Hello everyone i attached my mod list , i ran out of solutions i don't know what to do anymore my game crashes everytime i try to load into my save... but its also very strange i had Animated Prostitution i uninstalled the mod i loaded the save it worked fine (my save is in a tomb so no npc's around and i saved again to try and make a clean save) after i saved i quit the game i wanted to check if everything works fine now that i uninstalled AP i tried to load and it started to crash again everytime it crashes at loading i dont know which mod to uninstall anymore maybe you might know which of the mods in my list may be "bad" i'd appreciate some help thanks
pinky6225 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 If you start a new game are you able to save and load into that? just changing mods mid-save can cause the game to be more unstable which might be causing it to crash. Also do you have the papyrus log enabled? since if your able to get to the point where you are loading a save that should create a log on crash which might make it easier to identify the problem. If you dont have it enabled if you go to the skyrim.ini file and change the below so they have 1's on the end rather than 0's [Papyrus]fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0bEnableLogging=1bEnableTrace=1bLoadDebugInformation=1 Once its enabled if you try to load a saved game it will create a log in Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Logs\Script

judge0 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 The key to getting the sex mods to run stable starts with getting Skyrim to run stable before you add the sex mods. A lot of problems with performance and stability get blamed on the mods when it is generally basic modding practice at fault. A good place to start getting your installation stable is S.T.E.P. http://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:Guide Highly recommended is to use Mod Organizer as your mod manager, the Nexus Mod Mangler gets confused just logging in to the Nexus. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1334/? for installation files http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer for installation and usage Forum for Mod Organizer - http://forum.step-project.com/forumdisplay.php?fid=92 Loverslab Forum for Mod Organizer - http://www.loverslab.com/topic/20492-mod-organizer/ courtesy of AwfulArchdemon Once you have the base installation fairly playable, you can look at performance mods: EnBoost: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/38649/? SSME: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50305/? Stable Ugrids:http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/41592/? SafetyLoad: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46465/? Not included in this list - TESV Acceleration Layer and SkyBoost - regardless of what you hear, they are obsolete as of version 1.4.x of Skyrim. Also avoid ini tweaks unless the mod author states to do so - everybody out there has a favorite tweak and some of them CAN de-stabilize your system. Use whatever combination of the above works for you - it will vary from system to system (my video card won't run ENB of any sort) Once that is stable load The SexLab Framework and it's dependencies http://www.loverslab.com/topic/16623-skyrim-sexlab-sex-animation-framework-v139-updated-0128/ (possibly following this guide http://www.loverslab.com/topic/25219-getting-started-with-sexlab-how-to-install-sexlab-and-its-requirements/ ) Install something to test it with ( Matchmaker http://www.loverslab.com/topic/17343-sexlab-matchmaker-rev-6-updated-11102013/) Run FNIS (GenerateFNISforUsers http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11811/? after every change to an animation based mod) Run the game, and test it for stability and function. Most important instruction - for every mod, READ the installation instructions thoroughly, usually the one part you skimmed over will bite you in the ass. If it's not clear, ask in that thread, someone will always pop in with an explanation. Very friendly people here. Then you can add more mods.
