If authors of AI works took pride in it and only published works that were the best quality...

I could see a back lash to the OP here, however.... Some of the AI image blogs posted are NOT 

good at all but rather very poor quality... and I must agree they should not be posted as more 

than half the images in them are not worth looking at at all.... 

 

In short... spamming 100's of images just because you can, does not make them good... 

Only show the best of the 500 you generated  (and are unique) rather than the 1000 that are 

shit or other peoples works... (based off of the water marks on the images)... 

 

(I put my own watermarks on my AI generated images as they are original and my own work...)

I'd argue the quality of the work is the secondary matter here, the main issue is the spamming of said work.

 

While it is true that it is more pleasant to see carefully selected images of higher quality, spamming them is still inconsiderate to others. There are different type of works being posted here, some can take weeks or even months to make. My mod for example took months to make, and if I were to unfortunately post at the same time as multiple AI images (that probably can take less than an hour to make almost effortlessly) being spammed, it will be heartbreaking seeing my hard worked mod got buried under and missed the chance to be seen by more people.

 

I only use myself as an example, but I am sure there can be many more new and aspiring mod creators, blog writers, or artists that risk being put in said position.

 

If you want to spam AI works, do it in one go/post, or put a considerable gap between each new post so it won't bury other works.

I agree that the bigger issue in this moment seems to be the spam rather than the AI aspect.

 

I personally use AI generated images in my mods for the Splash Screens, but I wasn't the one who generated them. I simply happened to find them and like them and therefore used them. I also made sure to modify the images a bit so it's not a 100% copy. So I'm not in favor of a total ban, but I completely understand why you're frustrated.

It still going to buried other post. 1 user post AI stuff won't be a problem, but when a dozen or more user did it it became a problem.

 

Fastest and easiest solution is just to have a AI section.

I don't think quality matters at all.

And i don't think it ever did.

People want to have or see new stuff, a short term sensation, they don't care how much effort was put into something at all.
