needsmorebuttah Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Yes. When I click the button to add the mod, it loads about halfway, then it gives me the error message "The execution has failed due to the bug in SevenZipSharp." Is there something I failed to do?
gregathit Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Ok, is it in OMOD format or still in the two 7z files? If it is in the two 7z files then unzip it with 7zip and then double click on the OMOD itself and it should open OBMM and start the process.
needsmorebuttah Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Wait, so I need 7zip to open it? I've been using IZarc to open my files so far. I'll go see if I can find a download for that. Also, what does OMOD stand for? Thanks for helping me so far.

Using any other compression program to open a .7z file will likely give you errors. As to what OMOD stands for.....I honestly don't know. O=Oblivion, M=Mod, O=?????, D=?????
needsmorebuttah Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Alright, so I downloaded 7zip and unzipped the file, and I recieved 5 items called 'config, data, data.crc, plugins, and plugins.crc'. Do I drag those into the data folder? I feel like I'm missing something here, like a mesh folder or something. Above, you mentioned 2 files, but I only got one from the link provided. Was there another one I needed to download?
Razarkis Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Sounds like you have omods associated with 7 zip. That's the files an OMOD contains. Try loading the parent file that contains those 5 items with OBMM.

Until you answer that I can't help you further.
needsmorebuttah Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 It appears to be in .omod format, from what I can see in the mod manager.

Uriel Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Strange thing i can only google SevenZipSharp errors related to ShittyNexusModManager. Are you sure you're using OBMM?
yosecretsquirrel Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Ackk PhFFFFFt last thing I need is another 3hr Dl just to run LL, Ta but not my cuppa.
Razarkis Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 You don't need it. There are versions of several plugins for non-MBP installs. However, just keep in mind that modded games almost always require rather large downloads. For that matter, just about everything requires large downloads, these days

For that matter, just about everything requires large downloads, these days [/quote'] True, but my issue wasn't that it is a gig, its where it was hosted. It doesn't usually require 3+hr to DL a gig(actually Depositfiles says 455mins or about 7.5 hours). And just to punctuate my sentiment, I tried to Dl it and the server timed out at 93%, making it a 5.5 hr DL. I don't suppose its up on the Nexus yet? Oh well, I'll give'r another go as a tribute to the effort that went into creating this OMOD, for which I am always thankful for sure. Edit: Well actually it is found on the Nexus herehttp://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/37368, in the japanese version, weighing in at about 400mb for a 10 min Dl(Chocolate Elves is a optional file listed but only 40mb), and mirrored on mediafire. Which led me to think what this OMOD needs is proper packaging and split, heres why: when its in 4 chunks, I can Dl it 4 times faster(conversly, it can be uploaded 4 times faster) And it seems to compress nicely.
gregathit Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Except that you still also need MBP 1.4a to install "first" before installing the MBP++. There are alternate links to MBP 1.4a in the description of MBP++ on the nexus page.
Uriel Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Or you can just use a torrent from the second post. BTW. This pack will not actually work good without the textures. So 1Gb is not all you need.
needsmorebuttah Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 As it turns out, I was using said Nexus manager. I got the real Oblivion mod manger, and now everything's working fine. Thank you to everyone who helped me get this far!

There are alternate links to MBP 1.4a in the description of MBP++ on the nexus page. Good catch, thanks Greg. Also it turns out that the only part of the files i pointed out that is actually OMOD ready is the Chocolate elves, at least according to the file structure. I have a question though, is this OMOD in English or Japanese?
yosecretsquirrel Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Or you can just use a torrent from the second post. BTW. This pack will not actually work good without the textures. So 1Gb is not all you need. HUH? Yeah I tried the torrent, 2 seeds no peers = <100kbps but at least its out there I guess. Frankly I'm begining to question the mindset that creates mods dependant on a race mod so incredibly large and complicated. For that matter, I question my sanity when considering using mods that do so. So are you saying that this is not actually an AIO? Or that the one Im refering to isn't? If the former, that would suck after a lengthy Dl. If the latter, then thanks and yeah I got that. MY link was for MBP++ and you still need MBP1.8 and 1.4 apparently. Or were you refering to Body textures like Roberts and HGEC?
Uriel Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Strange. I'm seeding 24/7 up to 70 mbit/s. Textures are here, last link.
icecold29 Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 ... Frankly I'm begining to question the mindset that creates mods dependant on a race mod so incredibly large and complicated. For that matter' date=' I question my sanity when considering using mods that do so. ... [/quote'] You need to understand the concept of MBP as for Japanese Modders.. I was rather ingenious to remove resources dependency by using a big common resource.. Of course it can be argued that why not use Default races... In light of so many vain mods {read cosmetic and armors, bodies} it becomes silly to question the priorities of the mod user, Using Default is simply unacceptable... As a person we are vain in all our glory, We like the beautiful stuff, Even if we deny that.. I for one only use MBP from this thread.. Kudos for OP and Members who chipped in.. I never had any race missing problem... MBP has them ALL {ALL Popular Races in One}and If it doesn't then i was not that important to begin with... Now coming to your astonishment on OP forgetting to Pack some of the textures ... Now what kind of Frivolous exercise will be for modders to pack every resource and issues pacth every time they release a mod.. They are free to release only small ESP's , People do not complaint when they get a whole lot of game hours from few KBS of data forgetting the gruesome MB's it took to make that possible... Sure MBP can do with some love... as a lot of redundancy in the pack... but then who is going to do this in this digital age of Faster internet and Cheaper DiskSpace... Sure Some get the blunt end of both but then ... they are only few.. misfortunate ones...
drpep Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Strange. I'm seeding 24/7 up to 70 mbit/s. Textures are here' date=' last link. [/quote'] Unfortunately i'm also having quite a slow download, I'm at 5 KB/s at the moment.
StrangestThing Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Hello all. I don't seem to have Chanpon_cha01.esp mentioned in the loadorder in the first post. Was the main file updated? The omod I have now still shows as 2.1 beta in OBMM. Do I need to redownload the omod to get the missing esp or am I missing something? I really hope this wasn't mentioned in the 28 pages of this thread because I haven't been there. If the answer is in there somewhere would some kind soul not get too mad at me for being lazy and point me in the general direction please.
richardwolf99 Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Help needed! I download the file from deposit files link. After it finished i got a one gig ZIP file not 7z. I repeat, I got a one gig ZIP file not 7z! When I extract it I got five files: config (with no file extension) data (again, with no file extension) data.crc (with .crc format???) plugins (again, with no file extension) plugins.crc (with .crc format???) Because i don't know what to do, i tried open it on OBMM, and an error popped out. I browse the thread and i found out that this mod have to be installed using Wrye Bash or Bash Patch or something else, i don't know. Because i don't know how to use wrye bash, I decided to ask the forums. Please help me! I'm a total noob on oblivion modding. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks before...
gregathit Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Richardwolf99, what program did you use to extract the file?
