hmmm i'll look into the issue like i said i use the pack mostly with sizu's textures (i'm working on redoing some since they got updated)

 

awesome I can't wait, hope it'll be done soon. I'll hold off on playing oblivion til then xD

One Problem occured to my game.

May be just misconfiguration, but:

 

Beautiful People 2ch-Ed ENG Race.esp

AE Lop-ears Elf.esp

 

mess up HGEC -> many body textures are broken/can't be found by the game(human, tabaxi etc).

 

If deactivated, everything is fine.

The esp's are also quite huge for their content, maybe they have some trash inside?

Overkeks, did you merge the files together via the bashed patch as per the instructions in the OP? Did you also archive invalidate via bsa redirection?

 

As to the esp's...I don't have cyb3r's version installed but my largest esp file for beautiful people is 91KB and the esm is 733KB.....how big are yours?

It is several revisions OLDER than cyb3r's so I would use his if I were you.

 

EDIT: Cyb3r, if posting that link is irritating to you in any way just holler and I will delete this post :) I certainly don't want to take anything away from all the hard work you have put into keeping this up to date and continuously re-uploading it with all the file hosting issues!!!

it's fine grega :) i prefer peeps using my version so i can keep it uptodate and fix any bugs that arise the project is going a bit slow due to spending most time with the misses talking bout getting her over (european visa policies bite ass btw especially if your gf is from the us)

 

Anyways back on topic

 

i'm soon testing out proph's awesome translation work only thing i can't use will be his x117 translation since i'm planning on getting X117 0.8 into the mod

I'm currently running another oblivion reinstall, and i just started installing all this MBP stuff.

The problem is: Nexus Mod Manager associated itself with .omods, and i decided to give it a try. Now it consumes ~7Gb's of RAM, eats up one core, and slows my system to a crawl for around 20minutes already(this message took me 5 minutes to complete).

And it haven't wrote even a byte into my oblivion directory.

 

Damn, i love those nexus programmers, with all the .NET applications.

I killed the process now cause i can't even see any progress(the progress bar is not moving for 30 minutes already).

 

NMM is a great piece of ..., if you know what i mean.

 

edit: it took around 2 minutes to complete this operation with OBMM. And no slowdown at all.

 

edit2: I can't find "Chanpon_cha01.esp", mentioned in the load order.

Funny thing is they (the nexus) aren't done....I saw an add for a full time .NET staffer being offered. So either they realize that they have borked up things OR they are looking to consume the remaining amount of your RAM and Cores :(

 

Knowing those knuckleheads it is a toss up on which is which! LOL :)

Yeah, i've got 3 more cores to use, 1 more GB of ram(why miss this one if we can dump all the "redundant" OS parts into swap area, so it will take around half an hour just to get into task manager). Also i've got GTX570 that can be used to calculate a Pi constant with an unlimited precision(through DirectCompute/OpenCL stuff). And don't forget a 60Gb SSD drive to kill by continuously overwriting random sectors with random data(is there such a thing as sectors on a flash drive?).

 

Wow, they've got a lot of room to improve their manager.

New to Oblivion mods, so excuse the unknowing question but in the requirements it says that you need OBMM. Do you really need to use that? I already had a few big mods that I downloaded with the NMM since i already use that for Skyrim and was curious if I really needed to switch.

You can stick with NMM if you like. Your only draw back, is no one here can answer any questions you may have about using it, as the vast majority of folks here won't use it.

 

Why? It has spyware in it as well as requiring you to have an account. As long as you understand and are fine with that, then no problem.

Well then, that defiantly changes my opinion about it. I think I will just re-download the mods I got from the nexus and switch, would be more convenient then switching NMM back and forth between Oblivion and Skyrim. I did notice on quite a few threads I looked at that most do use OBMM. Thank you for the help.

haven't dropped support guys just been leading a super hectic life that basicly atm get's my play / worktime in oblivion to zero and my steam decided to chrash and had to reinstall and now i need to refix some stuff (minor annoyance)

 

for the rest i'm mainly looking around the corner waiting on when x117++ 0.8 is getting to full status the minor issues arrising atm please post them i'll look into them one of the next 2 weeks depending on how hectic my shedule is (compiling and testing a complete new plethora of server management apps rocks (not really))

 

i'm not supporting NMM at all (please toss that pile o you know what in the recycle bin then run eraser 0.6.8 a couple times over it :P) nor do i support the curse client (i got it for wow but that's bout it)

 

and yep idd grega i think they borked NMM up so far from what i've seen of it running on my I7 920 fileserver box with 4gb o ram it's really messed up seems they can't code .Net for jackshit

Can I suggest an update to the recomended load order?

 

It seems you need cute elves and chocolcate elves to be bottom of the load order otherwise, although they display properly, they get the I HAVE NO DIALOG bug.

oops sorry I meant the I HAVE NO GREETING bug. First time I've encountered it is with these npcs.

With the recommended load order (as per the first post) I get that if I try and talk to a cholocate or cute elf npc. If I bump their .esp down to the bottom of the list that is fixed.

 

Are you making a bashed patch and disabling the files per the instructions?

Yes the same as in original post. The only difference is that I read further on this thread that I should only have one of the lop ears race esp active so:

 

Lop-ears Elf.esp --- is merged only

Lop-ears Elf_mini.esp --- is active and merged

Well easy enough to change and see, just takes a while to remake bashed patch with so many mods :)

 

 

-- Nope that doesn;t fix it (Activating both lop ears esp). I have to move the cute elf and choclate elf to the bottom or else I get the I HAVE NO GREETING thing.

You are only supposed to choose one of the lop-ears elf esp's not both.

 

1) One should be disabled and NOT merged or active at all.

2) The other should be merged into the bashed patch and NOT active.

 

If you merge both into the bashed patch all you are doing is mixing up two mods that conflict each other. No good can come from it.
