I just really don't want to see you burn out. Think of Patreon as a 'Buy Me a Coffee' setup with no strings attached maybe eventually moving to a simple '1-month early access' model for public releases. Just food for thought; maybe it’ll feel more relevant in six months or so.


I’ll consider it! Def not an imposter syndrome thing, maybe a content thing. Maybe I’ll feel more comfortable with it as I start adding more content. So much of what I have been adding is infrastructure, which is sort of boring until the content really flows. I have been adding content but I want to add much more

I’ve been trying out LMAO lately, and it is truly an amazing piece of work. I’m planning to use it as a permanent replacement for SLSurvival and slaverun. However, I’ve run into some issues with the Nudity settings—no matter how I tweak them, I can’t seem to get the nudity laws to take effect. There are just so many similar-looking options.

My goal is to have NPCs remain nude only within cities. Could you clarify the following for me?

  1. What is the correct order of operations? Should I configure LMAO first, or Worldchange?

  2. Under the "Crime" settings: Should I only check "Nudity Required," or do I need to enable "Enable" at the same time?

  3. City-specific settings: Do both "Nudity" and "Nudity Required" need to be checked in the Crime settings for each individual city?

  4. The checkbox issue: Even though I’ve checked everything and raised the global Slavery Level to 100, the "Nudity Required" option in Worldchange is still greyed out (prohibited) and won't let me check it. Why is that?

LMAO first, then world changes.

The main crime controls the overall features, consider it the "global" values. If you want the crime to be active, it should be active.

if you want nudity to be required, nudity required should be toggled here as well. 
if you want nudity to be required only in cities, check only in cities. 

The city specific settings are the city overwrites. You can toggle on or off the nudity crimes on a per city basis through here, they overwrite the main crime. 
If you want nudity to be required in only specific areas, toggle OFF nudity required in the main crime, and ON in the cities you want it to be in effect

The greyed out checkbox in the world changes MCM are just for you to view the status. If you want NPC's to be nude, you should let world changes fire off the effects by just leaving the default settings (nudity crime on in crime and cities, don't touch nudity required), and setting in the "laws" when you want that to kick in.

Following your instructions, the Nudity Law is now active, but I've encountered a specific issue: it seems only the player is being affected by the law. The NPCs are not stripping down as expected. I am certain that I have all the necessary requirements installed, and I have used SPID to distribute some custom outfits to the NPCs.

I'd like to clarify a few things regarding the expected behavior:

What does the Nudity Law look like when it’s working correctly for NPCs? 2. Is it possible for them to remain nude only within city limits while reverting to their original outfits when out in the wilderness?

Currently, their clothes remain on even within the cities. I’m wondering if there’s a conflict between the law’s script and the outfits I distributed via SPID.

make sure in the world changes mcm's npc page that npcs observe slavery laws is on. 

Nudity required needs to be turned on in the city (if done dynamically, it will turn on over time once the slave level hits, if you force it, you need to manually flip those switches), and the nudity crime needs to be on 

it does a daily/city change check for those conditions, then the npcs will start getting stripped. 
Since it triggers on a daily basis, the npcs won't redress when they leave the city, they are basically considered city property, so they just don't have clothes anymore. if the laws end, they will redress. I'll consider doing that though. its a minor case but it does happen. Though Followers wouldn't redress automatically, they are on an exempt list so the playe rhas to control those.

Currently disabled as there are some bug issues I need to work through that popped up after the performance improvement update. 

It will be back up next time I update the mod along with more ways to get sent to the kennel.

Commenting to show my support for LMAO, it's working great for me as someone coming from SLSurvival, really looking forward to future content updates! The kennel is my favorite part of SLSurvival, and I'm glad that you're here expanding on that. Remember to treat mod creation as something fun / relaxed, don't let burnout get to you! Glad you like it! And no worries on the burnout aspect, I prioritize basically everything over this lol. But its a fun hobby so i have lots of plans.

Did I break the Laws system?
 

I had changed the requirements for the Bikini Law away to necessitate Slave Level, I then during a later point felt I set it too high and changed it again, once again a few play sessions later I tried setting the global slave level to slightly exceed the required slave level for the law but the Courier never gave me the letter and it was never implemented, I played for several in game days without having touched the "time before active" setting and I did get Courier messages for other things but nothing about that.

I thought the problem was that I had moved the Global Slave Level above the threshold manually and I changed the requirements for it again and let it tick over it by itself but that didn't seem to fix it.
I changed it back to the base requirement of having to enter High Hrotghar, then did that but once again no Courier.

 

So I am certain I did something bad, is there a way to fix it on this playthrough and what action was it that most likely broke it so I can avoid it in the future?

I assume it was the manual changing of the Global Slave Level so if that was unlikely I might need to be careful about what it really was.

Pretty sure its an issue on the mod's end, not on yours. I believe I debugged and have a fix staged for this very issue, but im currently in the weeds on a new system so haven't been able to push a full update for it.  

 

I believe if you swap out the matching files in LMAO/Scripts with these, it should resolve them. If it should already be fired, set the trigger to slave level and put it as a slave level under what you have now (if its not there already) 

I'll note it always takes at least a day for it to fire, and I THINK you need to change cells, but i don't remember, i might just have that on a daily trigger.

First, I would like to thank you for creating such a great mod! It really adds spice to a land suffering from war. 

 

I have a bug report for ver 0.3.7.4.9. 

It seems MCM feature has completely broken down. It does not correctly scan for crimes, punishments, or cities, and I can't toggle or adjust any options for the tolls.

 

Interestingly, it worked just fine before I started a new game. 

 

Any help would be very grateful.

Same here, even with the alternate download. I can activate the initialisation, it work, but the mcm menu of LMAO don't work, just a black page. The MCM of World Changes actualy work.

Sorry i don't know how to do that, but i test with my old file 3.7.4.4, and it don't work anymore. I suspect a conflict with a more or less recent update with another mod, i do more research if i have time!

papyrus logs. they tend to be in <user>/my documents/my games/skyrim/logs - papyrus.0.log (or something like that) is your latest one. You do need logs enabled which i never remember how to do. With that I can at least tell you if its something on the mods end or if its something else in your LO. 

Something is corrupting downloads in LL, which is why I have 2 here. Actually, if you want, you can try the download from the documenation site i'm working on: https://skyrim-lmao.gitlab.io/LMAO-Mod/download/2026/03/01/0.3.7.4.9/

It's a little frustating, because i launch the game with a lot less mod to see why my precedent version was perfectly fonctional, and lmao, whatever version, (3.7.4.4, 3.7.4.9 version from download, from the forum and from your site) just don't want to have MCM anymore. I try to read the log but it's clearly not a language that i can easily understand, it give me a loooot of error on mod that work well!

Hmmmm its not giving the errors I would expect to see. So I don't think your issue is with the download, there is something else going on that is wrong. 

Its showing the mcms are initialized - based on your description of what is happening the MCM is likely showing on the list, but its just blank there?

Unfortunately this seems sort of like a generic modding error, something wrong with your list, rather than something with my mod - if it was mine I would expect to see unmapped properties or errors, so I can't give you much help there. 

What I would recommend though is these steps:

  1. Make sure nothing is overwriting your SkyUI - Some mods come with old versions of SkyUI built in, and could be overwriting it, causing an issue when you try to load the MCMs.
  2. Double check the required mods list for this mod, and make sure you have all of them - there are a bunch of SKSE frameworks I require, and if they are missing it could cause issues. (though since they aren't showing errors for lmao in the logs, i doubt that is the issue)
  3. Double check those required SKSE frameworks to make sure nothing is overwriting them. Just like with Sky UI, many mods come with old versions of them bundled up, and can cause conflicting issues.
  4. Maybe try Menu Maid 2, if you aren't already: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/67556 and use its tools to clean up your MCM's. 
  5. I see a bunch of "Failed to create animation - unable to find a free animation slot" in your log - I don't think its related, but I know there is some sort of animation limit in modded skyrim, so it might be a avenue to look. I haven't had issues with as many as 34k anims, so if you have under that disregard this line. I was just looking for some sort of reason why you would be having these issues.

 

Good luck! I wish I could tell you what is going on, but at least from what I can tell, its not on LMAO's end.

For what it worth, i had two requirement outdated, papyrus extender and address library, and lmao was working. Since i update, it won't. This is the only difference between my old list where LMAO was working, and the last list where i test LMAO. Do you think it can be related?
Frustrating because i use LMAO since it's first appearance on Loverslab, and it was always a super-stable mod who work without bug or ctd or whatever. One day i will identify what other mod in my modlist i forgot to test and is causing problem, but another day i think!

Maaayyyybeeee? Skyrim modding is pretty fickle at the best of times, so trying to figure out cases like this, especially over just a forum is borderline impossible. 

I will note, the papyrus logs are showing LMAO is loading properly, the MCM is initializing, and its not showing a single LMAO related error, so I know its not something on LMAO's side. Its something else. LMAO doesn't really overwrite anything/nothing overwrites it so its not something messing with LMAO specifically, its something more widespread. 

But I have no idea. I had to rebuild my modlist recently because creation kit crashed whenever I edited a cell. Just started happening randomly with no changes made. Skyrim modding is wierd.
