Pandora not detecting SexLab mods

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi! This is my first post on this forum (or site in general) and I'm absolutely stumped here. I've been stuck here for the past three days now, trying everything I could find in other posts talking about this from complete gut clean and reinstalls of Pandora and all the SL mods, and I'm always met with this:

Engine launched with configuration: Skyrim SE/AE. Do not exit before the launch is finished.
Waiting for preload to finish.
Preload finished.

Pandora Mod 1 : Animation Teleport Bug Fix - v.1.0.0
Pandora Mod 2 : USSEP Behaviour Patch - v.1.0.0
Pandora Mod 3 : XPMSE Patch For Pandora - v.1.0.0
Pandora Mod 4 : Pandora Base - v.1.0.0

0 total animations added.

Launch finished in 4.73 seconds

I am tearing my hair out over here trying to figure out what the hell is wrong. I've seen multiple posts saying that the mods themselves don't show up as patches so I'm not looking for that.
That's not all, I tried a few other mods that involve adding new animations such as True Directional Movement and Movement Behaviour Overhaul and both of them are read by Pandora but the animations are not properly added, though the app itself says so. I have a proper output file set up and it gets updated whenever I run it, I've deleted the contents to run it again, I've gone file digging to find it's engine cache and wiped that a couple times, still no good.

For the past day or so I've just been throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks and so far it's been nothing. I'm using:
SexLabFramework for 1.6.1170

SLAL_SE

SLATE_SE

Aroused Creatures SE Bing

More Creatures SE Bong

Billyy's SLAL pack by Billyy

MYSLALPACK v12.0 by FunnyBizness

SLAL SE Creature Anims by Sailing Rebel

Schlongs of Skyrim SE Bing

OSL aroused Bong

SL Defeat SSE Bing

Creature Summoner

MoreNastyCrittersSE Bing

CreatureFrameworkV

Patched SE SL TOOLS

SexLabMatchMaker

And probably more I'm forgetting but I went out of my way to comb my modlist and get the main trouble causers. Upon running back through some pages to find links I noticed I might also be missing something for Rebel's pack but I would still like to figure out why Pandora is ignoring it before I properly debug it, unless that's what's causing it, but then why would it ignore everything else? AAAAAA this has been driving me insane trying to figure this out.

Anyway.. If anybody can help I would greatly appreciate it. This is kind of a compound issue from not modding skyrim for a while, starting to use MO2, and starting to use Pandora instead of Nemesis and FNIS all at once because I heard the latter two became obsolete with the existence of Pandora. And for reference, Nemesis is nowhere in my modlist, nor is FNIS. I'm completely certain I fucked SOMETHING up SOMEWHERE but I have no idea what it could be and I'm looking for more experienced modders to point me in the right direction to fix my mods.

Oh and I couldn't figure out how to put a picture in here in the dimensions LoversLab liked so I wrote it out..

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated 😄

Will probably edit over time to add more information if that helps figure out how I fucked this up so bad

Edit for more context: To get back into modding I used Wabbajack for the first time, and got ADT as per the suggestion in the video for a base because it came with most of the foundational mods many other mods would be using to build off of, and my true Skyrim SE install is not in the folder it's all organized in. I've tried pointing Pandora at the Game Root folder Wabbajack made as well as the true install folder in my steamapps/common/Skyrim Special Edition filetree and neither worked. At this point I'm afraid my poking around has fucked up something irreparably and I may just have to scrap this modlist and start over from scratch, but I'm hoping it can be fixed before it comes to that.

Are you using the Pandora from Nexus Mods? The one at their Github does NOT work very well for some reason, at least with Loverslab animations.

EDIT: Also you gotta make sure Pandora is running through MO2, not by itself.

Which version of PBE are you using?  I use v2.6.0 beta from what I can tell. Works fine as did v1.5.1 which the previous version I used.

Not sure how you are getting this:

Try running PBE without the first 2 mods and as has been said make sure you are running it through your mod manager.

I get this:

Engine launched with configuration: Skyrim SE/AE. Do not exit before the launch is finished.
Waiting for preload to finish.
Preload finished.

Pandora Mod 1 : XPMSE Patch For Pandora - v.1.0.0
Pandora Mod 2 : Precision - v.1.0.0
Pandora Mod 3 : Pandora Base - v.1.0.0

followed by a shed load of animations then

14318 total animations added.

Launch finished in 2.87 seconds

Just noticed the edit about using wabbajack. All bets are off.

Can I use ADT as a base for my modlist?

Yes you can, but I would recommend using Skyrim Modding Essentials (SME) for that as it is made for that very purpose.

I am using the most recent version on the nexus; 2.4.0-Beta, and I tried your suggestion of dropping the first two mods it was reading, both telling Pandora to just not read them, and disabling them entirely, and still nothing

This is trying with it aimed at "Modlists\Game Root", "steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition" and "...\Skyrim Special Edition\Data" with the same result every time

I took another look at the mod page for Pandora to see if I was just missing something obvious and it says that if for any reason (like using wabbajack) you should point it at the Game Root folder, and I tried the -tesv:"D:\Steam Library\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition"  but it makes Pandora just not launch, I also tried it in reverse of starting it at my true game install in steamapps\common and using the -tesv argument to point it back at my root folder, same outcome.

Oh and for clarity's sake I am always launching through MO2

Sorry about the double post but I wanted to mention this, in the meantime while I wait for help to get this debugged I'm taking your advice and creating a second alternative modlist using SME to see if that fixes any problems I have, will take a while to get it all set up but I'll keep y'all posted on if it helps in any regard

This one for the experts over on wabbajack. Few people on LL, myself included, use wabbajack.

This is one of the reasons folk around here don't recommend using wabbajacks or Nexus collections - adding stuff causes problems and the user hasn't gained any useful knowledge about troubleshooting to deal with it.

If you know what mods are in your wabbajack I would just uninstall everything and start from scratch and build your game the regular way. Big learning curve at the start but it stands you in good stead later.

Yeah at this point I'll just bite the bullet and scrub my game and start from scratch, thank you for the advice, I'll update here if I make any progress and anything works o7

EDIT: So in the past couple hours I've been following this guide you've linked me (thank you for this, super helpful) and I got a good ways into making a from scratch modlist, and aside from a couple of hiccups like having to reorganize everything so far (not TOO much) due to having the incorrect mod path set for my liking, I get to the step where the guide says to set up and run FNIS, and I substituted the steps for Pandora, and it reads perfectly!

Gonna have to get in game to see if they WORK but this is already a massive step up from the issues I was having and I'm very grateful!

I guess there was just something wrong with my modlist and now I will probably never trust Wabbajack again lmao after very brief testing the animations are registered and they function, so now is just the issue of rebuilding my modlist. I'm grateful for the help I was given here and that MO2 guide was an actual godsend. Now, off to the modlist mines I go o7

Install, say, 5-10 mods at a go and test. Rinse and repeat. Makes trouble-shooting easier. Just make sure that when you install a mod you also install all of its requirements.

Good luck.

I figured I should update here and say that my new modlist works great, everything works perfectly. Animations play, the triggers work, all that, and what few issues I do find I can resolve rather quickly.

Moral of the story: Don't Use Wabbajack

Don't get carried away - Skyrim will bite you in the arse soon enough. 😬

And don't try to use collections from Nexusmods on a working game. They f shit up.

Otherwise, it is grand to see the game grow slowly.

More and better textures. Maybe a mod that does this or that? Install, play, write down ideas, search, download, install ad infinitum.

Have you tried aiming at "Modlists\'what ever mod list name your using'\Stock Game"?

Since that's were the game exe file is in Wabbajack installs
