I don't know if it was working as intended, but I had to turn off the sex in the sex tab of the mcm. I did leave sex on as a consequence in the consequences tab.

 

What was happening is that different npc's would come up to me and do their thing all the time. I don't think the 300 second cool down was long enough. Even if I disabled followers, when I was in a populated area I was being accosted several times in a day. I had trouble getting things done, convos were interrupted (which could be bad for other mods), didn't matter if enemies were around, npc's in a scene with other npc's would approach me and continue talking while being occupied with me. Very strange.

 

At first I thought Spank that Ass was the culprit, even though it never acted like that before. That's because all the sex scenes were 1 of 2 different spanking animations, which just added a repetitive annoyance to the situation. However, I completely removed STA, cleaned the save, and started up the game again. Only to have the events continue. They didn't stop until I turned off the sex tab in Dev. Curses. 

 

I played awhile, reinstalled STA but left the DC sex off. STA is working like it has always done before this pt. 

 

I don't know if it's strictly DC NG or some weird interaction between the 2 mods when DC sex is enabled, but thought I should let you know. And I don't have a papyrus log, sorry. By the time I was satisfied about the cause, it was too late. And I didn't think to save one at the time.

I'm on the 0.8.3 Hotfix version, btw.

 

As far as I can tell, other aspects are working as intended: Lewd marks, plug, etc. Haven't gotten living latex yet.

Honestly the sex system could use some work, and a re balance of the base settings is needed at a minimum.

The way it works currently is pretty simple:
It checks every nearby actor to see if they are eligible based on your settings and gets their arousal.
It then modifies the required arousal for the interaction based on the rest of the settings.

If the actor's arousal is higher than needed, and the random chance roll succeeds, then sex starts.

This leads to a problem where sex either happens all the time or not at all, and it's very hard to find a middle ground. What I'm loosely thinking of right now is implementing a system where the Sexlab base stats (like sexual perversion, purity etc.) to determine how likely an NPC is to do stuff, and then using an arousal system around that. But a full rework is going to take some time and will probably be saved for update 0.9.0

In the meantime if you have any ideas of how to fix or improve this, please let me know.

The random sex feature, as it currently stands, can produce thematically unreasonable sex scenes with NPCs that are not appropriate.

 

I would prefer the random sex feature to be much more targeted. I would like it to be limited to a couple of focused areas:

  • Random sex with the creature that was summoned by the Summoner Collar. (Also, as I've mentioned before, I'd like a choice of summoned creature -- for example, to be able to choose male Dremora. I'm just not a fan at all of Frost Atronach sex scenes.)
  • Random sex with a follower.

I'd like MCM checkboxes to be able to choose one or both of those options.

 

Then maybe in the future, the random sex feature could be extended with additional focused categories.

Good point, and I can absolutely work on adding options for this.
I also think that looking at sexual perversion of some form would help with this a bit too, but I'm not sure about that yet.

The detection for lewd marks just depends on them being recognized by SlaveTats NG. My best guess is that the SlaveTats NG json cache is not being updated correctly as you enabled them after starting a new game. It should update automatically on newer versions of SlaveTats NG, so updating that might fix your problem.

Otherwise you can install SlaveTats NG with the old SlaveTats to use the MCM which has an option to update the cache as well.

Thanks. will fix this. But recognised also that hotkey is not working completely.

Tryed to change it many times with no responce. In previous game it worked fine.

Thank you for the explanation. I do have a couple of ideas, based on the premise that the random sex is geared more towards consensual or non-intrusive than rape.

1) Change the cool-down slider to be as long as 12, 24, or even 48 in-game hours. 

 

2) When the cool-down time ends, have a pre-scan checklist:

       a. Are there enemies around? If yes, then it’s a no go, no further scanning, and the timer resets

       b. In keeping with item a., should certain locations be off limits? Such as dungeons and caves? If you’re in such a location then the timer resets. There are plenty of defeat and trap mods, in addition to this one, that can trigger sex.

       c. This could be either an alternative to or an addition to b., if the player is sneaking then consider them not in the mood. I don’t know about other players, but I tend to sneak when I’m exploring potentially dangerous areas. Or doing something that’s a bit questionable. This should be an easy condition to set up.

       d. Is the dragonborn in a scene or dialog? I don’t care if they are chopping wood, enchanting, or smithing. I do care if I’m purchasing goods, talking to the jarl, or am in a scene. If I’m sparring with Vilkas to prove myself worthy to join the Companions I don’t want to be interrupted for random sex.

       e. Check for mod events. I don’t really understand the scripting side of things, but isn’t a mod event notice meant to tell other mods ‘hands off til I’m done’?

 

3) If the pre-scan conditions are good for proceeding, now you can look for participants.

       a. Do they meet the player’s preferences? (I know, you’re already doing that) Check.

       b. Is their arousal high enough? Yes? Check

       c. Are they available? By that I mean they are not available if they are in situations like in d. and e. above for the dragonborn. If the answer is yes, skip them. When the Battle-borns are haranguing Fralia Gray-Mane, neither should wander to me for sex in mid-dialog. If they are available, Check.

            i. Maybe check the dragonborn for mod events here also? Or instead of d. and e. being done above, do them as the last steps here before continuing to sex? I don’t know what would work best.

I think that if you do something like this, you don’t need to rework the arousal mechanic (unless you want to). The main thing, from my point of view, is that it not interfere with gameplay or be too intrusive. If you do want to rework the arousal, then maybe a 2-part update: 1st get the timing right, 2nd refine the arousal beyond its current state.

in install fomod Rape tatoos have double checkbox. Maybe there had to be fade tatoos or something else

What condition is being checked in the FOMOD for Lewd Marks?
I think I have everything installed correctly, but it’s still not being auto-selected.

I'm having a weird issue where using any version newer than version 0.8.3_VR_HOTFIX will cause my SKSE to fail loading the DeviousCurses.dll:

I'm using Linux / WINE, so that could be a reason why this is failing, but I have 1100 mods installed and this is the only one with this error. But what is weirder is that all of the DC versions I tested work up to version 0.8.3x. If there's any kind of log I can provide, or something I can test, please let me know. I'm also curious if anyone else is encountering this error? If I find a fix, I'll edit this post

I am also having trouble with both Mark and Tattoo Curse staying greyed out even though I have tried everything Ive seen, they are both checked off in the FOMOD, I have tried `setstage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance` with and without the resavr fix and I`ve tried a new character. Unfortunately I have run out of Ideas for fixes at this point

I think this has to do with the commonlibsse-ng version, newer versions don't work on Linux or on older Windows versions (=> Windows 8.1). I had the same problem with SlaveTatsNG, until I downgraded it to the old vcpkg version from https://gitlab.com/colorglass/vcpkg-colorglass  ,  newer version from Git cause problems.

This seems likely. Would you mind explaining how to downgrade the commonlibsse-ng version if it isn't too much trouble nopse? Or is that something for the dev to look into? I'm a bit lost looking at the code and I don't have a coding background

DO NOT ask for old versions of mods. Wait for your list to update. Asking for old versions of mods is against wabbajack rules and is a good way to ruin things for everyone.

Yes, this is something for the devs, you can do nothing about this, because this requires some code changes.

Hi, looks like V.0.8.5 broke gendered chastity for futa characters (PC and NPC). I've tested it on a new save and it doesn't seem to work.

yeah even with the newes version that happen everytime and i pressed every key to get out the menus but there is no way (or i simply couldnt find it) 
but what i can suggest, is the (QuickLoot IE mod https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/120075 ) it works perfectly fine and there is no popup anymore

after last update still couldnot use shortkey for special items menu.

and lewdmarks are still unavailable (while install mod see it)

Hi, there is a problem with new way of creating themes. And the problem lies mostly on the Devious Devices mod side. Editor IDs, of leather items for example, are very different, even between the items in one colour. When themes were created based on the name of device, you could make the theme "black & leather" and it worked great. Now there is no easy way to do it, because editor IDs are fucked up - some items even don't have the word "black" in their editor IDs. The differences are huge between devices that have been part of the mod since the beginning and the ones that were added later.

Is there any other way to managing the themes? Otherwise, great mod, it works great!

Help wanted. Later all was ok, played with this mod long time.

Now starting new game mod completely not work, no events, no responce to shortkey.

I have SE 1.5.97. Tryed starting even with old versions and no result.

Could someone tell me what DC mcm errors in log means.

There is log while starting game, save, load. Later 6 month ago all was ok.

It's a tradeoff that I have to make. Users were reporting issues with the mod on VR, which were fixed in the newer version of commonlibsse-ng, which is why I switched to it in the first place. And now that means that support for older versions of windows / linux is gone. Refactoring the code between commonlibsse-ng versions is doable, but rather annoying. I'll think more about how I want to handle this, as I would prefer to have support for both.
