As long as you have the right keys in your inventory, you should be able to unlock them. Or you could install Better NPC Support for Devious Devices and let them struggle out themselves. ahh sorry i'm not really good at english so i have to word it better next time. so basically i really need the dialogue tree that says trade item with the followers right? then i trade the correct key, for example if my followers get piercing devices then i should give her piercing removal tool key? is that u mean? if that's actually true, i'am kinda fck up then, since the one who get the devices is npc called aela the companion before i'am becoming the harbinger, so she's not really 100% followers yet.

Yes, we're all learning. I'm German and still have to use a dictionary for some expressions. 53 minutes ago, DestinyClyn said: so basically i really need the dialogue tree that says trade item with the followers right? then i trade the correct key, for example if my followers get piercing devices then i should give her piercing removal tool key? is that u mean? No. You have the key, and you take the device from the follower's inventory. In the upper left corner you'll get a notification like "You're using your key to unlock the (device) from (follower's name)" 55 minutes ago, DestinyClyn said: if that's actually true, i'am kinda fck up then, since the one who get the devices is npc called aela the companion before i'am becoming the harbinger, so she's not really 100% followers yet. Ah, yes. Next time you have a temporary follower, put them in the exclude list in the follower tab of the MCM. I always take notes for tips and tricks, and have this: Quote Add DD to an NPC via the console command "openactorcontainer 1" on the selected NPC Should be possible to use the same command to remove DDs from NPCs that aren't (yet) your follower. 1

What happens when you spawn one and (try to) lock yourself in? If that doesn't work, try to get help in the DD NG thread. Do you have other mods that trap you like Cursed Loot or Deviously Enchanted Chests? If so, what happens when you disable those? The device appears but my character isn't trapped inside. But I can trap it manually.
