A bit late in the thread but thx for the vampire cuirass conversion Skyrimfloo - it is extremely well fitted to sliders, even when you go nuts onthem - the pregnancy belly is a bit odd on the chains, but that is to be expected :) - anyway - great job and thx for sharing :)

Go ahead then.

This is for the pregnancy Belly

This is the one i have been using to convert vanilla to cbbe but i have the calf of dress and robes cliping or with a hole, the butt clipps and all stuff

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AscAZgY-JFE

thnx for ur work bud

Ive tried using this video but can never seem to get it to look good. I get two issues.

After deleting the the body inside the outfit, the body that is left is significantly smaller then the outfit, especially apparent with the panties. (Any of the bandit pieces show this easily)

When I test the sliders, I get several sliders that actually work opposite, Arm, Breast, and Should Width all decrease in size as I increase the slider.

These issues are all apparent when I load in the game, as the breasts get flatter, and the panties are way to big on my character.

Hi. I'm really new to the whole bodyslide and outfit editor thing so I spent quite some time on the tutorials here. I have been trying to convert the Northgirl armor set to CBBE TBBP using the 3rd part of the guide, but even if the meshe looks fine in Oufit Studio I always have the same clipping problem when my character crosses her arms ingame :

782294ScreenShot102.jpg

I think the clipping in the armpit and on the upper arm comes from the bones. I tried to use the pencil to change the color of the bones when they affect the upper arm and armpit but since ...

i-have-no-idea-what-im-doing-dog.jpg

in the end it wasn't any better ^^

If someone knows the name of the bones I have to correct, I'd be really happy and I could move to the next part of the armor and maybe come back later with a new problem  :D

Posted

I tried to convert that one too, but it was such a pain in the ass to do that I just gave up, lol.

Are you copying the bone weights from the reference body? I don't remember how poly-rich was the northGirl sweater, but since it's originally UNP I would suppose it should have a better poly count than the base CBBE body. Usually random clippings ingame that don't appear in OS happen because of the weighting, specially when the area in particular has a much lower poly count than the body.

Pass the .nif file if you want and I could take a quick look.

Posted

The first time I just copied the "NPC L Breast, NPC L Breast01, NPC L Butt, NPC R Breast, NPC R Breast01, and NPC R Butt"

The second time I started from the unp meshe again and then tried the "copy bone weight" to copy every bone weight, but it didn't give better results

This is not a bodyslide file so there are 2 .nif but I don't really use a custom body, it's really the default cbbe tbbp body :

Chances are since original armor had UNP weights, that you need to copy CBBE weights over with the L Clavicle and R Clavicle bones.

You may or may not need to copy over the other 'arm' bones (forearm) depending on how good/bad or 'clean' the weights are.

Also maybe spine weights if you notice clipping with crouching or jumping in those same areas (if it's another area that clips it's more likely another weight to fix)

To put simply, for skin tight clothing or clothing that do not have 'customized' weights like skirt, cape, or 'Realistic Jiggle' weights, it's safe to try just copying all the bone weights from the body onto the outfit (only meant for SKIN tight clothing though)

I would suggest you to use Blabba's HDT body as the reference (even if there's some clipping, don't copy the reference body when saving) and copy the bone weights to every mesh in that file. that one has very clean bone weights and it has given me very good results so far.

Thanks, both of you.

Still, I really need a good tutorial about this bodyslide and outfit thing, not just a "do this and do that", I'd really like to understand what I'm doing and why because so far I have the feeling that everytime I use a tool it's tagged "ITS A KIND OF MAGIIIC !"

For the knit I tried to re start from scratch, used guide 3 to create the knit_1 and knit_0 with femalebody_1 and femalebody_0 but I didn't add bone weight. Then I opened them again but this time using the HDT body as reference and I copied all the bone weight from the HDT body to all the shape of the outfit. The result was the same as before, always the armpit problem :(

In the end I found a very dirty solution to it, I just "punched" the upper body meshe inside the outfit to reduce it to a real skeleton >_<

But I already know it will no solve the problem when I'll try to add the trouser.

ps : far in the distance a new challenger appears ^^

Is there a way to just ... move a meshe?

I'm more than willing to create new guides (not video ones though, my mic is bad and so is my voice :P )

Just let me know what sort of 'details' you want to know, and if I know it and can figure out a way to explain it I'll put it up as a guide.

That 'dirty' solution might not be as 'dirty' as you think xD, Remember, the outfit meshes have 'depth' to them as well (Being 3-D and all), So while on the surface after you've adjusted with the inflate tool and the mesh pops up above the body, it doesn't mean that the entire 'depth' of the mesh was fully inflated above the body.

Also, using only the default full preview render is a bad way to do skin tight clothes (or really any clothes for that matter), You'll want to switch to wireframe mode and check if the bodies wireframe sticks out above the outfit's mesh

Also another 'better' fix that you may consider if the actual mesh deforms to much with using the inflate tool. You can 'lessen' the weight in those areas, this will create a more 'loose' mesh (still bends and all but not so much it gets pulled into the body)

Is there a way to just ... move a mesh?

In outfit studio your choices are limited to the 'move vertices' tool, Make sure brush is big enough, turn off connected vertices mode and move the mesh manually by hand (really hard to do alignments sometime...)

Otherwise, You can try moving the mesh using Blender/3DSMax and then export and re-try with OS 9defeats the purpose of OS I know xD)

Yes, it's called move vertices.

Did it ever occured to you to check how the original author handled clipping in the nortgirl mesh ?

If you had just hid that jumper and checked the body you would know that reweighting is completely

unneccessary. What you need is to zap the upper body.

Here's Nightshade Catsuit in CBBE Advanced: Download

I did the bare & topless ones too, but there were some problems with clipping so I'm gonna have to redo them. Not very high on my priority list (or at all) since I only really use the catsuit myself.

EDIT: Miraculously, I managed to figure it out myself, here's the Nightshade (full body) Cat Cuirass IN RED if anyone else fancies it.

https://www.mediafire.com/?zdr8bogb75iwxpc

Original

This is cool, but I much prefer the RED variant of this Cuirass. Can anyone upload the data to make it so I can have the RED Cuirass changeable in Bodyslide please?

I DID try renaming all the cat_cuirass entries in slidersets to red_cat_cuirass etc, and I  DID achieve the shape change - but then the armour loses its red texture as im just modding the black version to the reds file path :/

SO I'm assuming the  mesh in Shape Data needs its texture changing in Nif SKope, but I have 100% ZERO idea how to use Nifskope.

If anyone could tell me how to mod the texture, or just upload the RED version, that would be super, thank you.

I also converted the SUN Magic armor using the same method as above. I made two versions, one with cape and another without. They use the same path because all I did was to erase the mesh, so you'll have to choose which one you want. In the thread where I picked the mod there's also a standalone version without skirt, but I didn't want to clutter my BodySlide folder. If you wanna use my conversion with that one, simply move the .nif files to the proper place after using BodySlide.

attachicon.gifsun_magic_armor1.png

attachicon.gifSUN Magic Armor.zip

(Yes, I know the pic is not mine, I'm merely using it to show which armor is it. If somebody gets itchy over it I'll take it down).

There are two details that could be improved, and I'll try so when I'm a bit better at this. First, the cape's weight paint is awful, but I'm not expert enough to know how to fix it properly (and it was like that already, not my fault, lol). If somebody could point me to a tutorial or teach me how to fix it, I'd be glad to post a fix. Also, the bracelets are kinda hovering a bit over the arm, because I couldn't make a better conversion reference here. Any attemp to tweak the bracelet manually got me awful results. I'll try to fix it along with the cape's weight paints later, but for now it doesn't really look bad, just a perfectionist itch, lol.

Oh gawd I love the SUN MAGIC armour, have done for years! So excited to See a BS version of it I've not even tested it before posting a HUGE MASSIVE THANK YOU skyrimfloo!!

Xenocite Is also one of my favourites in Skyrim, you're a class act you are. Really appreciate what you're doing.

Posted

Well, those two are far from perfect. The SUN armor's skirt-cape is horribly weighted (I should try to look at it again, because the Lady of Death's cloak is very well weighted so I might use it as a reference for the weight paint) and the TERA armors are a freaking mess, when I tried converting them I got black polygons in most of them.

In any case, glad that you like. I'll try to improve them when I get better at it.

Okay I have a really random conversion I wanted to share. Why I did this one? For fun I guess (and it was simple). :P

Conversion includes zap option for front groan armor.

Also pardon me for some of the black surfaces seen, I don't quite know how to fix that. :-/

Moving on, I got another conversion I wish to share. This time its the Bonemold armor set for the ADEC body, now adapted with Bodyslide 2 for the CBBE body. I really like how Adele approached his conversion, so I wanted it as a CBBE armor. Like my previous conversions, panty zap options are available.

Hope you guys like it as I put a lot of work into this one. :)

Protip: If you guys have Chronotrigger77's remolded armor installed as a non-replacer, you can substitute the remodeled armor with the .nif files made from this conversion. Just add "000" in front of each file name and your set!

Just thought I'd share that tidbit.

I don't suppose anyone has had any luck converting the Aradia Kato Outfit to Bodyslide? Someone in the comments mentioned they'd converted it to CBBE, so I gave it a shot in Bodyslide but was somewhat discouraged by my noobness :P as well as the amount of pieces that make it up. If someone more experienced could give it a whirl, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello friends, just wanted to share a simple conversion I did. Requires a TBBP enabled skelly to work.

I've included zap options if you want to go topless or bottomless (but don't choose both options because otherwise why bother wearing it :P ).

Enjoy!

Wow, those Tera armors are awesome! I always thought that armor set had some of the best alternatives for mages in Skyrim, since the standard armors are decent looking for warriors but vanilla mage robes are terrible.

Would it be possible to convert some of the Tera mage armors for bodyslide?

I personally like the White Mage Robes, and they're an excellent candidate for zapping options as well. Even the inventory graphic for the robes shows them without panties, bra, and sleeves, it would be great if we had zaps for those!

I also like the Royalrite Robe, which has panties & leggings and a bra-ish thing that could be zapped away.

Either of these would instantly become the best mage clothes in Skyrim!

I wonder if my conversions were so amazing that I left people speechless. O.o *ahem*

Well, here's another. I know that the Sexy Transparent Zipsuit already has a good BodySlide version there in the main mod, but since I've been adding the belly node to some armors, I also did some tweaks to make it more fitting to the HDT body. So here are the files:

attachicon.gifTransparent Zipsuit.zip

I hope you like! since the outfit is so tight there might be some clipping issues with some sliders. Depending on your body shape you will also probably find clipping issues when moving, specially if you got HDT enabled, but that happened with the original outfit as well. I'll try to revamp it when I'm done with my current project to see if I can solve that.

hi sorry for being such a noob here but i downloaded the original zipsuit and it works no problem.

i then downloaded your bodyslide preset set my changes in the bodyslider created the suit the game then crashes everytime i try to wear the suit now...

Hello everyone,

Being trying to convert to CBBE BBP or make a body slider for this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24065  -without any luck of course :(

Regardless of what I try to do the  'chainmail-skin' disappears and I'm left with the 'normal-skin' body.

Hoping some helpfull soul will assist me :)

I believe the issue of the 'chainmail-skin' disappearing and being replaced with normal skin is due to the fact that the original mesh replaces the skin-texture with a custom texture. After you have converted the mesh, you would have to reapply the custom texture to the body in-order to regain the 'chainmail-skin' effect. This can be done in nifscope.

You can double check this by looking at the nif file in nifscope.

Select:

'body mesh' -> BSLightingShaderPropertyShaderType -> BSShaderTextureSet, then under block details, -> textures.

Or, you can use a texture set potentially. This would be done within the CS with the use of applying a texture-set to the selected texture on the ArmorAddon.
