Outfit Studio/Bodyslide 2 CBBE Conversions

Hello everyone,

Being trying to convert to CBBE BBP or make a body slider for this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24065  -without any luck of course

Regardless of what I try to do the  'chainmail-skin' disappears and I'm left with the 'normal-skin' body.

 

Hoping some helpfull soul will assist me

Use one of these as reference body for your conversion:

 

One of them is a "normal" CB Advanced slider, the others are CB Adv. BBP and HDT and textures. I hope it should work fine

I believe the issue of the 'chainmail-skin' disappearing and being replaced with normal skin is due to the fact that the original mesh replaces the skin-texture with a custom texture. After you have converted the mesh, you would have to reapply the custom texture to the body in-order to regain the 'chainmail-skin' effect. This can be done in nifscope.

   You're welcome, but not really, maybe this was the simplest way, and I had wanted to make this for quite a while. Well if you're encountered stuff such like this :  http://static-4.nexusmods.com/15/mods/110/images/32846-1-1362525694.png

you could - after the conversion, fixing, brushing, copyweighting etc. - duplicate the base shape and then use the shape -> set textures function and save the project WITHOUT the reference body. But. If you do so even then possibly need some editing with Nifskope, e.g. add Ni-properties, UV-mapping, obsecration, horse-kissing, goat-sacrificing and so on. Well I guess the better solution is that to convert the body first deleted every piece of the rest armor, it is very simple, the OS actually replaces the body with the same textures, you make all the sliders that you want to use, copying the proper weight that you want, essentially you copy all the references to your base shape, and than save it WITHOUT the reference. And finally you could use this slider set and mesh as a reference for your armor conversion. (of course if you convert from unp or whatever, you should convert rest of the armor separately, fixing adjusting and then set your body as a reference) 

 

Whew, the writing lasted longer than the conversions...

Thanks for the follow-up advice - have saved it to a word doc for future reference, although, it sounds by your description NifScope is something of a challenge.

The boots for the gloria set don't seem to include feet..   Seems as if the boots have been made for HDT Heels, but the original esp doesn't have that support.

BBP version of vanilla/Caliente sets haven't been released by anyone, at least not to my knowledge

Alright, not gonna lie this was a pain in the ass to do...

 

Notes:

Haven't touched any of the rune folder meshes (no rune amulets/labia rings) EXCEPT the belly piercing <---- Someone please test this!

Haven't done any of the gauntlets/arm fixtures if they contain their own seperate mesh.

 

The above are due to bodyslide limitations, they will be fixed when a newer bodyslide comes out.

Or if any of you have nifskope/blender/3d modelling experience and can make a fix feel free to reply in thread and i'll include it in the main file!

Question: Why'd I make this?

Answer: I saw this and immediately wanted to try it out for the Alan's pack modifications but it requires Art of Magicka, and since alan's conversions don't work too well in Outfit Studio yet, I decided i'd make a conversion of this in the meanwhile!

 

Future plans:

Alan's BBP armorpack made into TBBP Bodyslide (On hold for a newer version of bodyslide)

 

In the meanwhile feel free to drop requests in the thread so that others out there can post theirs if they've made one or to take up your request

(If I like it I'll make a TBBP conversion of it).

 

 

I've found a small problem with your conversion. For some reason the top part of the  elegant robe  doesn't change color. I would fix it myself, but I'm not really sure how too.

Im having a problem converting the Apella armor form Alan's armor pack to TBBP. When i load the max weight version of the armor to the toll and then load the BBP Preset the bodies dont fit although the armor form Alan's pack is CBBE BBP.

Hmm, for some reason when I substitute the shredded triss top meshes for the new ones made with the bodyslide, ingame the top appears purple, as if it didn't have or recognize it's textures and that only happens with the top meshes. Does anyone know why that happens? I have tested it and when I use the original meshes the textures do appear to be working just fine.

This was BEFORE Bodyslide 2 comes out, but theoreticly those xml files just needs to be edited to the right body group.
