Sanguine Debauchery (SD+) (January 2025)

I feel like this mod has really strayed from it's original intent or at least my original intent in installing it. I have been a slave for 4 days and I am at slavery level 3. I cannot escape, I get choked because of a magical collar and teleported. The mod is really boring staring at the screen for hours since I am using a 1:10 (requiem) timescale.  

 

I initially liked this mod because it added a sense of danger and I have been using it for many years. Many years ago I was able to escape and I remember the owner running after me, sometimes catching me, sometimes I would get away. This is very much like the Paradise Halls mod. I could enslave and be enslaved if I was defeated. Now I am unable to escape (because of a magic collar, really?), punished if my owner goes into another zone (instant 'your running away, followed by punishment sequence'; think guards outside a dungeon zone line).

 

Your a great asset to the community, don't get me wrong, but I no longer have fun with this mod. Sometimes there is no gold or food to give to my master. Sometimes I die from iNeed because my master says I've had enough for now and it has been many hours since I last asked. Sometimes my master will give me Skooma instead of food and I die. I would really like the days of simplistic capture where you can run away at any time, where you could ask for food and the master would drop it at your feet. You could then eat it without being 'locked out' of your inventory menu. It was more left up to the player than superimposed restrictions. I want to have fun with this mod and I don't need to be forced to not be able to open up my menu or the like. I understand it's not your problem to deal with needs mods or the like but when you lock the player out of being able to access their inventory or mods that do so then I find it is.

 

As much as you can superimpose restrictions via scripts or other mods do (zaz, I think? I'm sorry if I'm wrong) this mod and Skyrim is RP and I feel it really detracts from a Skyrim experience that has any kind of mods which this is.. a mod.

I tried to escape after Dangerous Nights 2 (spawn only) NPCs killed my master (instant re-enslavement, which makes sense) and this is what happened:

The guard near Whiterun then had his way with me and I was then unable to move because DA kicked in since the collar shocked me to death (no HP regen because of Requiem) and there was no way to stop it even with enableplayercontrols.

 

Is there a setting that will allow me to RP the enslavement? Perhaps min slavery level?

Are you referring to the visual effect or the collar?

 

For your other comments above, it's funny ... I tend to think enslavement is too easy to escape and keep trying to find better ways to enforce it (like having your master follow you when you walk away).

 

I do know there is a problem with abusive teleports when you change cells. I have been working on improving that.

Right now, if you give things to your owner, you receive 'trust pool' points. When they become positive, you can change cell and lose one point without the teleport effect.

 

I am also very aware of how boring enslavement can be. The original version was worse in many ways as you were forced to follow your master, with a fair chance to get stuck against stairs or a large rock.

 

I have ideas to improve that with smaller quests and a point system like the one used in Death Alternative Captive quests, but they will have to wait until I done dealing with things like Death Alternative dependency or my new Parasites mod.

 

If that can help, you can access your inventory while your hands are bound by looking inside a container and selecting your side of the menu. Use the Shift key to consume items instead of dropping them into the container.

Another good news / bad news.

 

The next version of SD+ will require a new save if you care about Death Alternative.

If you don't care about DA, you should be able to get away with the same save (although I can't test that option).

 

On the bright side, it will remove the hard dependency on Death Alternative and replace it my mod events. That means you will still need Death Alternative to not die when defeated or killed by a trap. That also means you will be able to play without Death Alternative if you want to manually submit to opponents using the submit key.

Moving around with the master is one of the core mechanics of this mod. That needs to work flawlessly regardless of the intended difficulty of the enslavement. There is an issue if my player gets punished because the master exited the area, I expect to have to time to follow manually or at least have the mod make the player change area alongside the master.

 

It also depend on the focus you want to have for this mod: inescapable enslavement or a master that properly walk the player in skyrim. The former will heavily restrict the second, as if you move live product around there is a greater chance for it to escape. As it is, I get frustrated if the master stop walking every ten seconds and I end up killing it to continue my game.

 

About the inventory stuff, do you think it would be possible to introduce a "gamelle" that act as a container to allow the player to eat? I mean by that the master drops a gamelle with food in it and let the player eat. Would be useful if by lack of luck, there is no containers around.

 

You also mention being defeated by a trap, those never hurts me at all (be it poison or physical). Do you know of a good mod that change how deadly vanilla traps are?

Thanks for your response.

 

I'm not sure if those debuffs were the collar or DA. Every time I would run away I would be choked by the collar and be teleported. Even after 3 days and slavery level 2 I could not run away. Other times the collar sent 'shocks' and killed my player causing him to go into DA bleedout mode, I told my master I was hurt and he didn't heal me if that is what he was suppose to do. He just gave me a shrug off type comment. I did not give my master anything besides being submissive. I had nearly 1000 gold on me and as I understand it he takes the gold no matter what I choose to give him and I did not want to buy my way out of the slavery.

 

Perhaps I don't know all the ways to escape so it seems hard to without waiting many in game days. Also giving him items relies upon items being around the player so it could happen you are in an area that there are none? I know you can give him your items but as I remember it the owner can also just take things from you so I have limited removal on for that sake. I didn't know about shift clicking, thanks for that but I would have to open a container if one was around or give items to my master.

 

I will have to reread the FAQ to see if I am missing something on escape.

 

edit: the whip also puts my character into a DA bleedout loop but that may be because Requiem adds damage to the whip? I usually toggle on god mode for those punishments. It is hard getting Requiem to play nice with SL mods, I remember you mentioned at one time you played with Requiem.

It doesn't. But Deviously Enslaved, CCAS and Simple Slavery do. So by extension also every mod that sends player to Simple Slavery.

Do you have version 7 or above for DA? And did you run the manual registration option from the menu?

Im having troubles getting SD+ to play nice. Or rather to play at all... 
I've installed SD+ 3.5.2 and its requirements (plus the Fnis sexy walk thingy). 
It installs itself when i start a save or new game where it hasnt been on before. But when I press "begin" In the status tab in MCM it simply says "SD is preparing to start." "SD has started." But If I try to get enslaved by a anyone it get knocked down with DA and then die. (It has worked with simple slavery before) 
And if i look in the MCM menu I can still press "begin" again. 
Any ideas?

Your first issue is the Begin button... it should be turned on and greyed out by default.

I don't see a problem with that load order so far.

 

If you have issues initializing SD+, try this:

 

- start a new game with SD+ disabled

- create your character, wait for all messages to stop, save and quit

- enable SD+ and load the game again

- wait for SD+ message to confirm it has started

Seems to be working now. Ill take a closer look tonight :)

You can avoid many initialization/ menu issues by introducing complex mods gradually into your game.

 

What I do when starting a new game is to first start with non Sexlab mods enabled and only Sexlab itself to initialize it properly.

 

Then save and reload with Sexlab mods enabled.

 

And always wait for the end of all top corner messages before opening the menu or doing anything else.

 

If you open the menu too early, you risk interrupting the unit process of some mods.

surrender button isnt working for me and im not being enslaved also the crawl buton also donst work..im wanting to be enslaved bye a wolf.. i have defeat and submit on as well do the conflict.just want to be enslaved

 I am finalizing an update that should help with that issue.
