Sanguine Debauchery enhanced: SD+ (January 2022)

That looks really awesome. It's always been my desire to add as much variety to the defeat scenarios as possible and SD is definitely a great and highly complex addition. I'm in the process of testing my own plugin addon but I plan on trying SD+ as soon as I can. I had a look at the code though and I'm pretty sure it works well, though it uses an overabundance of scripts which could have been avoided by using the QuestStart() overload in the trigger scripts (which is something that had been suggested by Xaz and it was a stroke of genius because it simplified so many things). In any case, I'll add it to the list of known mods using DA.

 

Something I saw often is with regard to compatibility between DA (and hence any mod that use DA) and other mods that offer similar alternative to death. In particular, I've had a look at Defeat and after a quick inspection of the main code, I'm led to believe that it would be a fairly simple matter to write a compatibility patch for Defeat to work as a general scenario of DA. Not because Defeat is a simple thing, in fact it's an intricate piece of art, but because all the relevant bits seem to be so neatly packed in the player reference alias script that it would be simple to produce an alternate script and a DA trigger. Such scenario could be set to trigger 50% of the time so that it can to allow other DA scenario, and SD ones now, to trigger every now and then. This would be the best outcome I can foresee since it would add a whole new level of diversity, which was always my intention when I designed DA. I might get around to it.

 

Congratulation on your updated release Skyrimll. I know for a fact how difficult such nonlinear quest design is. Unlike normal quests, here, anything can happen anywhere to anyone at anytime (within constraints)... it's maddening!

I'm experiencing a weird bug at the moment, where the camera becomes all haywire. Once I get enslaved, I am thrown about the area, and the character is either in mid air, stuck to the wall, or stuck to the ground, unable to move. Anyone having the same issue or have a solution for this?

 

EDIT: Ok I realised that I didn't install realistic ragdolls and force, and now I'm getting straight up CTDs when I get enslaved... T_T

Hi all,
 
I waited  SkyrimII for your update, installed it and...
I am not getting stuck anymore, I am not getting enslaved/or raped at all. I ran into bandits and wolves twice, they just keep hitting me, and nothing is ahappening.
The sexlab anims working fine if I try to do something with the matchmaker.
What is going on?
Do I missing anything?

Hmm....as I can see I have problem with obis...lol.

And the other thing is that bandits are not set to true under SD that means they are not in valid faction?

If this is the case I got that, but what is with the wolf?

Wolf is TRUE yet when it is bites me nothing is happening...

Immortal, being beaten constantly, I set on the  health buffer in the death alternative mod so when I need to choose, I always choose  the "give chance to fate " option, and then they just beat me up, I get kill moves into my char's face, the char body sometimes get twisted. the health bar just depleting, and then it goes up to max, depleting again, and so on....my char sometimes go down, then stand up again.

 

I am immortal but not invulnerable.

 

At Death Alternative - Your Money or Your Life.  I turned off the ragdoll thing at the bleedout function.

Well, isn't that a list?

 

I'm thinking your first step would be to disable OBIS and see what happens. I'm no expert, but looking at your log (and understanding a little about the way SD+ works) OBIS alters the faction organization and allegiances in your game. SD+ (and I believe DA also) rely on the vanilla factions to trigger their events. Therefore, any mod that changes the factions will likely unstring the program with SD+. That's what I think I'm seeing with all the SD lines toward the end. You were being attacked by bandits and a wolf. SD recognized the wolf as belonging to a legitimate faction, but the bandits weren't recognized as belonging to a legitimate faction.

 

Short version: Try it without OBIS and see what happens. If that would break an existing save, start a new game with OBIS off and see what happens.

 

BTW, the "Leave your fate to chance" menu is a part of DA's mechanics, as opposed to SD+, so it makes sense that that menu would pop up and work while the triggers when you get to OnBlackout wouldn't...because that's where SD+ is trying to kick in and check on factions for the appropriate triggers.

You can't exactly generate a list straight from MO, but if you find your MO folder (Mine is \progam files (x86)\Mod Organizer) you can navigate into the tree and wind up in:

 

Mod Organizer\Profiles\Default --->or whatever the profile is named that you're using. Your current profile name is shown in MO in the dropdown box at the top of the left panel.

 

In that folder are several text documents. Open up "Load Order", copy there, paste here.

I have a feeling, that SD is not triggering at all.

I tried to surrender, it said you cling on your last breath, then nothing happened. When I didn't surrender then my life ran out and I got that option that give chance to fate, (wich i did)

and then nothing happened, just my life got refilled, and then whole thing started again, or....I just randomly teleported to somewhere and woke up.

Once a hunter took all of my money and killed all my enemies and just walked away.(lol)

I can try to disable obis, and SOT and let's see what will happen, but I just tried to have fun with purely just wolves, same thing, no trigger.

They still supposed to rape the char if she is naked and losing?

 

Cos if they are, then it is nothing to with bandits, or OBIS, something else is conflicting.

I have an odd setting - though not yet tested what the effect actually is.

I had SD+ 1.16 installed but NOT yet clicked on "Begin"

So I expected the upgrade to work fine with no problems....

 

Now while setting the values as recommended (and obviously I want to have SD kick in based on DA alone) I wanted to set the "Chance of Enslavement" to 100%

But I see this as default value:

on a side note (also not yet tested) regarding OBIS:

I created a Wrye Bash patch for the first time, hoping to be able to merge some more mods. Reviewing the result I noticed that Wrye did consolidate information specific to OBIS and SD+ (no other mods listed in those specific sections). I don't know if that could help getting OBIS work with SD+ (resp. the other way around). I certainly hope so...

@ Metaton, what do you mean when you say "nothing happens"? Are you immortal? Do you just stand there?

 

The camera bug and movement bug was in Rannevig's Fast. And as I said on the edited post, its now just CTD whenever enslavement should happen.

 

The camera was similar to when you get knocked down or die normally, and i can kind of see that the PC is trying to get up, but something is preventing it from doing so... its body twists but gets nowhere, like I can see the PC's butt and tits at the same time :P

I have the camera stuck on the Y axis during sex in Haemar's Shame.

I have a strange observation when I just installed DA, SD2 and the newest version of Defeat. For some reason, even though Defeat lists the options as enabled in the main menu, they are listed as disabled when I want to go to the options menu of the individual options (Player victim etc). Also, after trying to set up the three mods, I frequently get stuck MCM menus and/or CTDs on load.

IIRC, Goubo stated that Defeat was not compatible with Death Alternative.

well, the manual for SD states you can run defeat along with it, and as SD now requires DA....

After Installing SDplus20, my third person camera view is glitched! Whenever my PC gets enslaved, she always moves with the camera. (ie. when I move mouse) with her back always facing the camera. Also during the punishment scenes the camera gets completely stuck! Running FNIS does NOTHING! HELP!

Wow that's a really big change from 1.16 to 2.0! I like the idea of combining SD+ with DA, which adds a bit of uncertainty to 'death'. And uncertainty is fun. 

 

Unfortunately, I've encountered some issues with SD+2.0. A few seconds after the blackout, I can see my character stripped and collared, floating in the air and repeating walking animation (like in the screenshot I uploaded), nothing else happens. I can hear notification sounds of quest starting but can't see the HUD.

I have updated all the required mods, and registered zaz animations. Any idea what might have caused this issue?

 

EDIT: disabled ragdoll option in DA menu, and the issue got fixed. I should have read the release post more carefully.

Not really happy about the addition of Death Alternatives. But I will probably get used to it. 

 

  1. Using surrender doesn't do anything, I get the menu but no matter what option I pick I just get "you still have life in you" (no matter how close to death I am) and that's it. Nothing happens after that.
  2. Enslavement chance option in MCM is broken. It's on 30%, but can't increase it. It even changes from % to X health when I try to do so. 
  3. Sometimes only bindings are equipped, not the collar or anklets. 
  4. Sometimes after enslavement my character is stuck, just standing not being able to move and I hear the sound effect you usually hear when you die. Using the resurrect console command fixes it but I have to reapply the bindings with console commands as well to get the bound hands animation back. 

 

Adding Death Alternatives caused the mod to be very unstable. It works but there are a lot of issues.

That happened to me once, but not since then.  Overall everything has worked very well.
