Dirtnap Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 So... I couldn't upload the mod into my NMM, so I dragged and dropped the file into my data folder directly. I can alter dicks but nothing shows up and it doesn't show up in the mod list... can someone explain what I did wrong? I had tried to follow some download tutorials on youtube and they said the drag and drop would be fine and it did nothing. I'm new to mods for PC and honestly... I'm not getting much assistance with explanations... so if someone can actually be helpful, that would be outstanding! I'll try, but I'm not much of an expert either. According to my ReadMe in the copy I have it should not be installed manually. Looking at the folder I have, it doesn't look like the file structure would land in the folders that it needs to if dropped into the data folder. I would remove those files and try reinstalling. What you can do, and I did, is to drag the zipped mod folder right into your mods list under the mods tab in NMM. It will show up the same as if you added it with the "+" button. Hit the check button to install and it should give you the Fomod menu options for body options. In my experience if I already have XMPSE skeleton installed (and at the bottom of my plugin list as it should be), I do not let SOS install it's skeleton because it will then not show the SOS genitals options in Racemenu in-game. If you do not already have XMPSE installed, let the mod install the male skeleton. Assuming you have all the supportive mods like SKSE and SkyUI it should work. For anything involving sex animations or anything requiring HDT physics, FNIS needs to be installed and run right from it's installation folder, not from any shortcut, every time anything like that is added or removed. Hopefully that is helpful. Oh my god, thank you! This the most helpful anyone's been in the past two weeks! Question, which subfolder would it go into? User Interface like RaceMenu and SkyUI? Or another place, cause I had to drop it in a loaction, so I picked User Interface and its saying moving but nothing else is happening... No prob, I know what it's like and I was pulling my hair out for days trying to get everything working the way I wanted it to lol. Yeah I don't think there are many responses on this forum anymore. I came in really late in the game. See the attached pic. Just download the mod and drag/drop the zipped mod file you get right into NMM mods list. Don't drop it into a sub folder, it won't work. The file should show up on your mod list in light grey, just as though you added it with the Add button. Just hit the checkmark and it will install. I always have my mod list in alphabetical order, not the category view, to avoid having to poke through and search for the mods. The view can be changed with that green button on the bottom of the left panel you see. It bears repeating because I've forgotten alot: FNIS has to be run before you start your game, or you will either CTD or the chars will be standing around all stiff lol.....Also the game must be started from your SKSE launcher in your main Skyrim folder from the point that you start using these mods. For me it opens the Skyrim game start menu which gets Steam started, I close that and just hit the SKSE launcher again and the game should just launch.

Sorry for the slow response. NMM is not allowing you to rdag into the mod list? I'm trying to think over what this might be. You'd leave the file zipped just as it is when you downloaded it. NMM mod list should accept the drag and drop method. The extracted file would not work I don't think. There seems to be some hangup in the data transfer like maybe anitvirus may be scanning the .zip or something but really I'm not sure yet. I'll try making a simple visual example of exactly what I'm doing. You may have some prob with NMM itself, because it shouldn't be giving you an error with the zipped file. I wish this were more of a helpful response but I'm thinking on it and will try to get to the problem. You have the current NMM version 0.63.14 ? Has anyone else reading this had this problem or know why it would hang up in the transfer? Is there a setting in NMM that is preventing the direct drag/drop of the file? Works for me every time. So... I couldn't upload the mod into my NMM, so I dragged and dropped the file into my data folder directly. Ok, I'm just taking another shot at clarifying what I do that works. Image 1: Switch your mod view from Category to Aphabetic using that green button my cursor is on. That way the mod doesn't hide in some "misc." category. NMM doesn't come with sex mod categories as far as I see. Image 2 shows how I've drag/dropped the un-extracted zipped file from the download folder to the mod list. It should show up as light grey in the "S"'s. If NMM gives you an error on this (what does the error message say btw?) , or hangs up in moving, there is something else going on here, like your NMM installation might be screwed up, some antivirus might actually be trying to scan it since it is a zipped file (if you have Norton especially, disable it, it definitely does cause all manner of lags and hangups) or...something else. I'll try to figure out anything else it can be. Good luck, I know it's frustrating.

Powerless001 Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Greetings, I am having trouble with a mod and was wondering if you would be willing to work on a patch for it. I am having trouble with Dual Sheath Redux. I have looked everywhere on the interwebs and haven't found a solution as of yet. The males swords, shields and staffs are not where they should be and are just on the ground at their feet. And I believe it is because the SoS Skeleton isn't compatible with the weapon placement system thing.

Again, thank you for your help, I really appreciate it! Np prob, and good luck! I noticed I gave you some bad advice: I for some reason said " If you don't already have the XMPSE3 skeleton installed, let SOS install the male skeleton. " I must have been stoned. I wouldn't do that if you plan to ever make changes in racemenu. Just have XMPSE3 installed anyways, because you'll need that base skeleton for not only racemenu but any other animations in the game. Use that one and don't install the SOS skeleton. If you've already taken my bad advice you can easily just install XMPSE, then right click SOS, reinstall, and uncheck the male skeleton, then run FNIS and you'll be good to go. If you don't mind one last suggestion, you might change your browser settings so that files you download don't go to the Windows temp folder, but to your Downloads folder which is designed for this. Downloads seems easier to find stuff in, and I think Temp is more of a windows system folder.
dragongodmod117 Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 So does anyone know how to add physics to a penis model? I created an "over-under" double dick mesh and I can't seem to figure it out. Any and all help appreciated. See how it was done in another mod by examining it perhaps? http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/2180-floppysos/ Like I said, I can't figure it out. I've tried. I can model, but I can't rig or code very well at all.
Naddesh Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Quick question" In mod order should I have XP32 Skeleton last or SOS overriding it, because they have conflicting files.
y_sengaku Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Quick question" In mod order should I have XP32 Skeleton last or SOS overriding it, because they have conflicting files. XPMSE should overwrite SoS's skeleton file.
WaxenFigure Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Quick question" In mod order should I have XP32 Skeleton last or SOS overriding it, because they have conflicting files. XP32 is the skeleton to use. In fact when you are installing SOS you should not even check the option to install the ancient skeleton that comes with SOS so you are less likely to accidentally end up using it. So does anyone know how to add physics to a penis model? I created an "over-under" double dick mesh and I can't seem to figure it out. Any and all help appreciated. Reexamining your post I see you've probably got some other skin model from some male body replacer installed that isn't designed to work with SOS so you have both the non-functional penis from that mod plus the functional SOS one.
leyre Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 anyone knows a good male texture that works flawlesly with SoS? or in wich order should i install the texture replacer and SoS? currently testing "The Veteran Skin", if i install SoS first, the penis looks like shit, if i install TVS first then, the body used is the one that comes with SoS, is that normal?
Guest Posted October 7, 2017 Posted October 7, 2017 Alright, I'm encountering some bullshit. The SOS MCM menu refuses to show up, even after I remove the mod and clean my save with Save Tool. It's annoying the living shit out of me and I'm way too far into my game to start over. I searched this thread and didn't find anything.

There's a console command you can use that's normally used by people who didn't get a menu to show up for some reason (documented on the SKYUI Nexus page) which should cause SKYUI to reset and lose that menu it has stored.

I have Jaxons MCM Kicker, that doesn't solve the problem. I actually solved the problem by moving everything SOS to the bottom of my load order and loading a slightly older save.
mpjbay Posted October 8, 2017 Posted October 8, 2017 I apologize if this has been asked before. I have body meshes/textures for all races. IN order to have this work, do I place this at the top or bottom of my character loads list? I'd like to keep the look my of Humans, Argonians, and Khajiits which are the races I have modded. Cheers and thanks in advance!
ThisAlbino Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Is there any way for me to have the NPCs underwear stay on when I loot their clothes? At the moment it flashes on their body for a bit, and then their dick flops out. I'd like control over when I see dong.

Set all AddOn probabilities to 0 (all of them), and manually assign a schlong using the MCM menu whenever you want a certain PC/NPC to have it visible. There are other ways, but this is the easiest. 1
buttluver Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 Just curious - now that SKSE64 has arrived, is there anyone considering converting SOS for Newrim? Does the mod author even look at this forum anymore?

buttluver Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Ack! Was afraid of that WaxenFigure. Guess when I do decide to go back to Newrim (probably after SKSE64 becomes Beta) I'll have to use SOS Light. Its amazing that the forum for this is still so darn busy though after all this time.

Not too surprising, there are new mods here and old mods still being updated with new features. There are also old mods not getting updated that still work and provide significant replay value. The mods here more so than the mods on Nexus can often be combined in new ways to create vastly different requirements for play. And you also have DLC sized mods like Slaverun Reloaded that can take longer than the original game to get through.
