High Poly Head requires you to actually use the sliders to switch to high poly heads. All this time I thought my heads were High Poly. I was wrong

 

Usage

  • For the player character
    • Use the Face Part slider in RaceMenu to switch to the high poly head.

 

So if you're still having problems, maybe this is it.

Yeah, I know that old post quoting, but this is holy feck! I realize, that I'm not playing with HPH as well. Tried to get this mod to work about half hour but without success...Then found this post and everything is working now.

Hi thanks! about Ostim it seems to work partially only, diferent expressions used, and the plugin is set to only recognize some.

Hi, yes, only select the race menus sliders in the fomod when it is done, mod manager will ask about to replace the head nif, just dont let it, then you will have only the sliders.

I've run into a problem that I'm currently stuck on, and I was wondering if someone could help me out.

Hi, I've tried quite a few things to fix it, like redoing the transfer at least five times in case I had made a mistake, but still no result. I'm attaching two screenshots to give you more details. I'm using the method for NPCs, specifically Serana, with a replacer made using High Poly Head.

Hey @Predator-RJ 

Just a warning about dll - if the current versions still uses detached thread - that can be dangerous. Proper way would be to do a papyrus based hook to an sl scene and trigger native function there

I made sure that your XMLs and your mod in general have priority in all cases, and it still refuses to work. :classic_wacko:

Hi, didnt see anything wrong on you Nif pic, now the problem on the other pic, looks like SMP insnt working, have you tested in your character to see if works?

Hi, the plugin was made by asdt123123 here , i have no clue in scripts or even making a DLL XD, dont know how it works, but works most of the time, and since the other way was using the SL triggers, that worked like 1 out of 5 times, the DLL is the best way posted here and with no visual problems os stutter, if you have another way that will work too and better,  as said in the post here (Link), that is not a SMP reset command like the SL triggers, but a internal "re-skin mesh" function as far i understood...

Unfortunately I don't know what it could be, the functioning of the collision depends on whether you have working collisions or not, in the case of TNG, Himbo, or SOS, or any other similar, this part is something in your game, the most common is to install the mod but it didn't replace the other, you say that this is not the case, then there is something deeper, or some other mod is taking control of the collisions by disabling or removing them, what's left for you is to deactivate mods and test them one by one, nowadays people have around more than 1k mods, it is very difficult to help in cases like this, several mods replacing the same mod is too complicated.

Hi, the mod looks great, but I'm having an issue where my character's cheeks is getting stretched out like when you pinch somebody's cheeks wide. This happens basically all the time and only stops when the smp reset gets called, which it then promptly gets stretched out again in seconds. It's funny the first time, but not so much the next. Does anyone have the same problem? Any fix? Sorry if this has been brought up before

Hi, probably Hair you are using, or a armor part with SMP collision, the mod is configured to ignore 3BA, and BHUNP collisions, as well as some default collision names, but i cant like foresee everything, so you might need to see what is, and add it to the 'No collision" part in the XML

i dont know friend, sometimes you are just the "choosen one", it happens a lot in skyrim modding, and you sure are using the HP head on your female character? like it is selected on the face part slider?

Yeah it is selected, the cheeks have physics and all while moving around, they even move in an animation, but probably just from motion and not collision. Lips are completely static however.

Hmmm, yeah then i dont really know why your game refuses to use the collisions for the TNG or similar, if creatures work fine, then just confirms that the problems is missing collisions on the human part, but why i dont know sorry....

I am using KS Hairdos SMP hair (KS Hairdos - HDT SMP (Physics) at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community), so that is probably it, but I don't actually know how I'm supposed to add this to the XML... I presume I need to add a <no-collide-with-tag> element into <per-vertex-shape name="00KLH_FemaleHeadNord"> since my character is a nord, but I don't actually know how I get the correct tag or if what I presumed was right at all

I ran into some odd collision/clipping recently (unsettling screenshot in the spoiler), and it only occurs when the PC is nude.  It seems to only have begun occurring after installing Softbody, which I'm sure is going to continue going through revisions/updates.  Does anyone know how this might be happening, or what to do to get everything to work well together?

reading the bug reports on Softbody, it's a similar issue that this mod had with wind physics.

For now I'd just not use Softbody, it is a still a very new mod.

Thanks, this mod would be perfect if it could be applied to all NPCs, atm it's a little too confusing for me to do it one by one even.
 

Please consider finding a workaround, it's great
