Here is my UnSkirt mod for Trails Beyond the Horizon!  (This is tested with the demo, although I haven't tested all characters for obvious reasons.)

Horizon_UnSkirtMod_v1.0_MDL version.7z

I ported all 63 costumes from my Kuro 1 mod and edited 20 more costumes exclusive to Trails Beyond the Horizon (Kai no Kiseki).  I've gone through all the named women (chr50xx, 51xx, 53xx).  I know this mod is a little tame compared to the incredible mods available on this forum, but I still enjoy making these because you can see exactly what Falcom was hiding from you, and nothing more.  ;)  This time there is no 3dmigoto version; MDL is the only option.

Installation Instructions:

Quote

To use, copy the contents of the mods folders into your The Legend of Heroes Trails beyond the Horizon data folder.  The default location for Steam is {Steam}\steamapps\common\The Legend of Heroes Trails beyond the Horizon.

This time there are several p3a files, so it is a little easier to pick and choose.  Additionally all mods in this mod are named 00_ so that they load first, and other mods will overwrite them (so you can add other mods and they will be preferentially used).

To uninstall, simply delete the p3a files from your mod folder.

Enjoy!

All my cheat engine scripts are in this post!

Free camera for Trails beyond the Horizon!

Upload replaced 1/20/26 for v1.0.6 r23

Horizon Free Camera for v1.0.6r23.CT.zip

How to use:

Quote

This script is used with Cheat Engine (CE).  Instructions on how to install CE and load the table here.

Feature List:

  • Force Pause Animation - F5 to turn on, F6 to turn off - this completely pauses the game!  Check the box to enable before using.
  • Hide Interface - F7 to toggle. Everything disappears - interface, minimap, dialogue, menus, overlays, letterboxing, everything.
  • Control camera distance (zoom) - F4 to toggle. Press Home to zoom in, End to zoom out.  Will remember your custom zoom value prior to cutscenes and restore the value after, IF you do not adjust the zoom during the cutscene itself.
  • Free camera - press 0 to activate. See instructions below on how to navigate.
  • Set Camera Min Z to Floor: There is a function that stops the camera from going any lower than waist-height. This changes the limit to just above the floor. For the best experience, also turn on No Clip.
  • No Clip - Objects will stop disappearing when they get too close to the camera.

Free Camera Controls:

Hotkey : Num 0 (Toggle On/Off)

After activating the script player can use the following hotkeys:
W : Forward
S : Backward
A : Left
D : Right
R : Up
F : Down

Mouse control for tilt/pan!  (You can turn mouse support on and off with page up / page down keys while the script is active.)
I : Tilt Up
K : Tilt Down
L : Pan Right
J: Pan Left

F1 : Decrease Camera Speed (Press and Hold)
F2 : Double Camera Speed (Press and Hold)
F3 : Quadruple Camera Speed (Press and Hold)

Enjoy!

Here are all my other free camera scripts:  Trails of Cold Steel (CS) 1, CS2, CS3, Trails into Reverie, Trails through Daybreak, Trails beyond the HorizonHajimari no Kiseki, Kuro no Kiseki, Kuro no Kiseki 2, Tokyo Xanadu eX+, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, Atelier Ryza, Atelier Ryza 2.  I also made a MinZ (*cough* upskirt) script for CS4.

Purchase override:

Here is a cheat table for Trails beyond the Horizon that lets you override purchases - buy anything you want for the price of a tear balm!

Upload replaced 1/20/26 for v1.0.6 r23

Horizon Purchase Override for v1.0.6r23.CT.zip

 How to use:

Quote

Open the table in Cheat Engine, and attach to Kuro no Kiseki.  (Exactly the same process as my free camera)

Check "Override Purchase Item."

NOTE: Turn off the cheat after purchasing. The game engine uses the same instruction to buy items and unequip items! (Actually you can use this cheat to get items by unequipping if you are not near a store but of course you will lose what you unequip.)

Party Editor:

Here is a cheat engine table to allow loading of save files even if you do not have the DLC required to load the save:

Horizon Party for v1.0.6r21.CT.zip

(I am not the original author of the party member script, it is from reddit.  I just updated the one for Kuro 2 so that it works for Horizon.)

An easy way to get the New Game+ costumes!  They will now be available at Newberry General Store, once you install this mod.

HorizonCostumeShop.7z

To use the mod, just copy contents of the the mods folder into your Daybreak II folder's mods folders, and then make custom tables as usual.

NOTE: Starting with Daybreak, Falcom no longer has a modular DLC system, so without making your own custom tables, you can only use one DLC P3A at a time!  Please see here how to combine the tables of 2 or more DLCs using the .kurodlc.json file included in this mod.  It is an intimidating process at first, but will become very easy once you do it once or twice.  (This is not a DLC mod, but it counts as one for the purposes of making tables.)

With Lakovic no longer making mods for the time being, I hope everyone can come together to make some great mods for English Kai.

Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter was a great example; lots of good ones!

I do plan to transfer the mods I made from Daybreak 2 to Horizon but it will take some time since I’m working on Part 3 of my mod series.

I attempted to convert the Lakovic mod using the p3a conversion method here, but either I did it wrong, or it doesn't work in the demo? I did still have the script and table folders in it, so it's possible that was why.

It always astounds me how much effort Falcom puts into panties. Not that I'm complaining, just from development standpoint. Maybe they figure they usually get 3-4 games out of a model anyway, might as well make it as detailed as possible the first go.

Honestly it's why I started modding games in the first place...  😂

It looks like they used plain JSON instead of binary JSON for all the .mi files in the NISA release.  I really haven't had much time to look at the demo, but I'm guessing that's the issue.

I put up a free camera script, download here.  The code base has changed drastically, so it took a long time and it's still not complete.  Purchase override and such will wait for the full game, since the demo has no shops to override (that I'm aware of).

Also, I uploaded my unskirt mod, available here.

I hope you get better luck with this one.  I swear with each game, the camera scripts seem to get worse problems because Falcom keeps changing the code bases.

Gotcha gotcha. Hopefully that's something we can figure out for when the actual game drops.

And this is why your Reverie and Kai camera scripts are still betas and not working properly 😑

Obviously that was self-deprecating humor on my part.  I've spent over 40 hours on the reverie camera script alone, long enough to play and beat an entire game.  Clearly if this is the kind of response I am going to get from using my time to help the community, then I should not have bothered to do so.

All my work is open source - nothing is stopping you from actually contributing.  This will get you started!

You can use kuro_decode_bin_json.py to convert from the binary format (used by CLE Kai) to the text format (used by NISA Horizon).  It is available in Kuro MDL Tools.

I really need to distinguish what's a joke...

I do appreciate your hard work.  I'm even using your mods right now in Sky 1st Chapter with Lakovic's, and I'm loving the bunny girl suits!

Free camera script updated.  Force pause implemented, free camera now works in cutscenes and crafts.  It's feature-complete and on part with my DB1 script, so I don't plan any more updates (other than bug fixes and game executable updates).  Download here.

PS - Two things:

1. I could've hid even the equip menu etc with hide interface, but then you just see a blurry screen which seemed pointless.  so the original version where I just hide the UI in the game (and not the menu) is the way I have it implemented on purpose.

2. PH3 implemented a really weird way of controlling the camera, so the actual memory functions are different between game and cutscene/crafts.  I contemplated two separate free cameras for each function, but managed to figure out a way to implement them together in a single function.  It works but I wouldn't try to keep free camera on while playing the game and going from cutscene to map and back or anything, you might crash the game, I dunno.  I figure if people are trying to free camera in cutscenes / crafts, they are going to force pause anyway...

I've tried the camera script with the demo, and I'm really happy with the results!  I might get Horizon day 1 or within the first two months, depending on what kind of mods will be released.
