Here is my Trails through Daybreak II UnSkirt mod!

Daybreak2_UnSkirtMod_v1.0_MDL version.7z

I ported all 46 costumes from my Daybreak 1 mod and edited 17 more costumes exclusive to Daybreak 2.  I've gone through all the named women (chr50xx, 51xx, 53xx).  I know this mod is a little tame compared to the incredible mods available on this forum, but I still enjoy making these because you can see exactly what Falcom was hiding from you, and nothing more.  ;)  This time there is no 3dmigoto version; MDL is the only option.  (3dmigoto does not work with NISA Daybreak 2.)

Installation Instructions:

Quote

To use, copy the contents of the mods folders into your Trails Through Daybreak II data folder.  The default location for Steam is {Steam}\steamapps\common\The Legend of Heroes Trails through Daybreak II.

This time there are several p3a files, so it is a little easier to pick and choose.  Additionally all mods in this mod are named 00_ so that they load first, and other mods will overwrite them (so you can add other mods and they will be preferentially used).

To uninstall, simply delete the p3a files from your mod folder.

Note:  Most of these do not require DLC to enjoy but a few do.

Enjoy!

Free camera for Trails through Daybreak II!

UPLOAD REPLACED for v1.2.15

Daybreak_2_Free_Camera_for_v1215_beta.zip

It is currently in a beta state - everything basically works as expected except Force Pause Animation has issues.  It does work, but not as well as Daybreak 1.  The biggest issue I haven't solved yet is how to look around in cutscenes.

How to use:

Quote

This script is used with Cheat Engine (CE).  Instructions on how to install CE and load the table here.

Feature List:

  • Force Pause Animation - F5 to turn on, F6 to turn off - this completely pauses the game!  Check the box to enable before using.
  • Hide Interface - F7 to toggle. Everything disappears - interface, minimap, dialogue, menus, overlays, letterboxing, everything.
  • Control camera distance (zoom) - F4 to toggle. Press Home to zoom in, End to zoom out.  Will remember your custom zoom value prior to cutscenes and restore the value after, IF you do not adjust the zoom during the cutscene itself.
  • Free camera - press 0 to activate. See instructions below on how to navigate.
  • Set Camera Min Z to Floor: There is a function that stops the camera from going any lower than waist-height. This changes the limit to just above the floor. For the best experience, also turn on No Clip.
  • No Clip - Objects will stop disappearing when they get too close to the camera.

Free Camera Controls:

Hotkey : Num 0 (Toggle On/Off)

After activating the script player can use the following hotkeys:
W : Forward
S : Backward
A : Left
D : Right
R : Up
F : Down

Mouse control for tilt/pan!  (You can turn mouse support on and off with page up / page down keys while the script is active.)
I : Tilt Up
K : Tilt Down
L : Pan Right
J: Pan Left

F1 : Decrease Camera Speed (Press and Hold)
F2 : Double Camera Speed (Press and Hold)
F3 : Quadruple Camera Speed (Press and Hold)

Enjoy!

Here are all my other free camera scripts:  Trails of Cold Steel (CS) 1, CS2, CS3, Trails into Reverie, Trails through Daybreak, Trails beyond the Horizon, Hajimari no Kiseki, Kuro no Kiseki, Kuro no Kiseki 2, Tokyo Xanadu eX+, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, Atelier Ryza, Atelier Ryza 2.  I also made a MinZ (*cough* upskirt) script for CS4.

Here is a cheat table for Trails through Daybreak II that lets you override purchases - buy anything you want for the price of a tear balm!

UPLOAD REPLACED for v1.2.15

Daybreak 2 Purchase Override for v1215.zip

How to use:

Quote

Open the table in Cheat Engine, and attach to Kuro no Kiseki.  (Exactly the same process as my free camera)

Check "Override Purchase Item."

Buy something in the game, it does not matter what it is.

You now have the item you desired!  Be sure to uncheck the box in cheat engine or you cannot buy anything else.

NOTE: Turn off the cheat after purchasing. The game engine uses the same instruction to buy items and unequip items! (Actually you can use this cheat to get items by unequipping if you are not near a store but of course you will lose what you unequip.)

Do not ask me to add more things (like Sepith etc), I have no interest.  I only made this because I made an UnSkirt Mod and I want you to be able to have all the costumes to enjoy my mod!

lakovic_kai_nudes.png.298976c1c26247b9f8636773da31bbba.png

For those who would like a nude mod right away, the easiest method is actually to use the newer mods from Kai no Kiseki, because they are in MDL format and are not encrypted.  Here are instructions on how to convert a Kai nude mod.  I am going to use @lakovic's mod here, but these instructions could easily be used for nude mods by @jmedia7 (here) or @gggnog (list here), underwear mod by @fakecheng here, or anyone else.  The jmedia7 and gggnog mods are mostly MDL v4, which require downgrading.  See extra instructions at the end of this post.

I put some notes at the end of the post for those who want to port more complex mods requiring decryption or json decode, like underwear mod by @fakecheng etc.

NOTE: @vilarmor posted a downloadable version of this here.

Quote

1. Download lakovic's mod here.

2. Extract the files, and put them into folders like this:

+---lakovic_nudes
    ¦
    +---asset
        ¦
        +---common
        ¦ ¦

                    chr5318_c02_02new.dds
                    woman01_body.dds
                    woman01_body_newslender_n.dds
                    woman01_body_newslender_p.dds
                    woman03_body_newslender.dds

3.  Download p3a_archive.exe here and put it in the same folder as the lakovic_nudes folder you created in step 2.

4. Drag the lakovic_nudes folder onto p3a_archive.exe and it will make a lakovic_nudes.p3a file.

5. Put that p3a file in your mods folder.  The bath towels will be replaced with nudes!

Other types of mods:

Quote

  • First, install the modding toolset.   Be sure to install python 3 from python.org, with the option to install to PATH.  The first time you use the toolset, and every time you update it, run install_python_modules.bat which comes with the modding toolset.
  • Kuro 2 CLE mods:
    • All files should be decrypted / decompressed first.  Download the modding toolset, and use cle_decrypt_decompress.py from the modding toolset to decrypt / decompress Kuro 2 assets.  MDL files go in /asset/common/model, MI files go in /asset/common/model_info, and DDS files go in /asset/dx11/image.  There are no 'c' or 'f' folders.
  • Kai no Kiseki CLE mods:
    • MI files are in the PS4/Switch binary JSON format, and must be decoded to plain text JSON.  Use kuro_decode_bin_json.py from the modding toolset to decode the .mi files.  MDL files go in /asset/common/model, MI files go in /asset/common/model_info, and DDS files go in /asset/dx11/image.  There are no 'c' or 'f' folders.
    • Many mods (e.g. lakovic's mods) are MDL version 1, and are ready to use.  Some are in the new version 4 format, and must be downgraded to work with Daybreak 2.  Open a command line and execute the following commands to downgrade:

python kuro_mdl_export_meshes.py name_of_mdl_file.mdl
python kuro_mdl_import_meshes.py --force_version 1 name_of_mdl_file.mdl

Enjoy!

Will any existing p3a mods for Daybreak 1 work for Daybreak 2? I'm guessing the 3DMigoto mods will need new hashes or something?

DLC P3A mods will not work because the tables are not compatible.  Non-DLC P3A mods will likely work.  3DMigoto doesn't work with NISA Daybreak 2 at all from my testing, it just crashes the game.

I've uploaded my unskirt mod, available above.  I'm going to work on some cheat engine stuff first, but I'll get around to porting all my other mods (e.g. DOA mods) and stuff over the weekend!

Hmm, there is no data folder in my install directory?  Where do I put the mods directory?  Putting it in the root directory doesn't work?

It should be in the same folder as kuro2.exe, like this:

Inside the mods folder should be all your p3a files, like this:

Hmm, I mirrored what you're showing in terms of the directory structure but its not working for me.  I don't have that combined tables file though.

Can I ask how far you are into the game?  Because I know you start with Elaine and I did not modify her Daybreak 2 outfit.  You would have to see one of the modified characters, or equip her Daybreak 1 outfit to see something change.

I was wondering if the cheat engine for accessories and costume from for the first game works for the second?

No, cheat engine tables must be made all over again.

Ahh ok that might be it.  I saved in the first area with combat, just have Van and Elaine.

Free camera beta available, here.  It's not fully feature-complete but I'm kind of tired working on it.

EDIT: Also, purchase override now available, it's the post right below the free camera.

Elaine's Daybreak 2 outfit wasn't changed. You have to wait until you see another character like Agnes.

An easy way to get the New Game+ costumes!  They will now be available at Newberry General Store, once you install this mod.

Daybreak2CostumeShop.7z

To use the mod, just copy contents of the the mods folder into your Daybreak II folder's mods folders, and then make custom tables as usual.

NOTE: Starting with Daybreak, Falcom no longer has a modular DLC system, so without making your own custom tables, you can only use one DLC P3A at a time!  Please see here how to combine the tables of 2 or more DLCs using the .kurodlc.json file included in this mod.  It is an intimidating process at first, but will become very easy once you do it once or twice.  (This is not a DLC mod, but it counts as one for the purposes of making tables.)

Here's a DLC mod!  This is a port of two of my Daybreak 1 mods, Agnès After School and Just Panties.  I made it using @fakecheng's amazing underwear mod and @lakovic's nude body as I am a huge fan of both.

Daybreak2_AgnesAfterSchool.7z

To use the mod, just copy contents of the dlc folder and the mods folder into your Daybreak folder's dlc and mods folders, and then make custom tables as usual.  The costume can be unlocked from the DLC tab of the item menu.  All the costumes can also be purchased from the tobacco shop.

The girls of Daybreak wanted to try out some cosplay, from DOA!  (This is a port of my Daybreak 1 mod, but expanded.)  Four outfits, as you can see above.  Thank you to the legendary @lakovic for the nude bodies that I used to fit the costume on, I hope he does not mind.  Disclaimer: Obviously I do not own and do not claim ownership of any of the assets used in the making of this mod.

*Note: The swimsuit, bra / panty set, and crop top / jean shorts are each available on all 10 girls.  The outfit Agnès has on is available only for her, because it was a gigantic pain.*

Daybreak2_DOACosplayMod.7z

To use the mod, just copy contents of the dlc folder and the mods folder into your Daybreak II folder's dlc and mods folders, and then make custom tables as usual.  The costume can be unlocked from the DLC tab of the item menu.  All the costumes can also be purchased from the shop right outside Van's office.

Enjoy!
