[mod] Phaze's Species Mod

Little progress update for the coming addon

 - men at arms are all done and fully functionnal.

 - culture traditions are done.

 - buildings are done.

 - 'set species portrait' character interaction is updated as well as the background/vanilla-style pregnancy system.

 

That was already a ****load of code that I am WAY to new to (MASSIVE respect Phaze).

 

Next step is either new interactions/decisions or a special addition to the feudal vassal contracts.

Well folks

 

After a moment warpstone-induced clarity, I found how to make the futa tributary breeding rights available for feudal vassals...the extra-marital potential just expanded.

 I'm also a big fan of the Species mod; I don't enjoy the 3D models that the game uses, so I'm glad people are making mods for it. I can't wait for the rats. I've also done some of my edits for the races. Currently, I have converted all the Lunar wolves into Satyrs, but I am trying to get the species on birth to work with all the mods, and the ELF mod is particularly challenging.

These look good :)
If you converted the Satyrs into their own species, as well as making your new voirians add to the old instead of replace, we could look into incorperating these!

The conversion is very patchwork, mostly just going through the already-made content, and changing Lunar wolves to Satyr in the localizations, but keeping the core trait still named Lunar_wolf, I'll be honest, I had a lot more of these in the past. Still, I keep forgetting to remove the custom ones before updating the mod, and end up losing them, having to remake them again. Many of these are incomplete, but these are all the ones I have at the moment.

They replace them, mostly because I'm super lazy and didn't want to go through the work of adding more lines to the image codes. I intend to try to make them into their own thing, or at least the satyrs, but I'm still trying to find a style I enjoy.

If you want, I made some quick and dirty code to make the satyrs work alone. I'll probably start getting those voirians working as well.

For the botching part, if you're like me you'll missclick and replace a number AND the dot before a .dds name in the .asset file in species portraits folder

I'd appreciate it if you can do a once over of my code. voirian code.7z

I can't see any obvious problem and haven't found a typo yet, but while I can choose the portrait slot in game, all the added portraits are blank. The base replace works so the portraits probably aren't the problem.

edit: found a typo for futa child 2 in the .asset, i'll test it but that shouldn't affect the other portraits as well.

edit 2:fixing the typo makes futa child 2 work so there are definately typos borking the rest of them or something

Found the error, in your voiran genes file, one '}' was missing, and the biggest error actually came from a typo in the original mod, instead of the gene file being called 'phaze_species_voirian_genes' it is called 'phaze_species_vorian_genes'.

 

So yeah, it was a typo, not the one you imagined though.

Since there are so many different versions, I think it would be best to consolidate them into one build, which can then update the main page. But, Satyrs would also need to not use the Lunar Wolf events, just doesn't make sense! 😅

Also added my newest horseblood portraits, Mongol themed for the nomadic experience, just new futa and females though

I also added the corrected files for the new voirans and the new satyrs species.
