Personal preference. But later down the road we might be more willing. It all depends on where it goes. We currently have enough people to make some genuine progress. We just want to distance ourselves and do this correctly as opposed to rushing in and doing something controversial, while lovers lab does allow it some places may not. A fork in the mod to allow feral may happen but we cant make any promises.

The cynic in me says a main issue is that feral and noncon stuff isn't kosher on Patreon, with the monstergirl mod mentioning that they want to start a patreon in their opening post. Adult projects still going with patreon over subscribstar is completely baffling really.

lmfao, wait so let me get this straight.. these guys with zero reputation or known experience decide they are gonna make this nsfw mod for palworld only to then run into problems or something decide its a "great idea" to completely make brand new models even though this would break the movesets among other problems just cause they want to take a different stance / moral high-ground against using the feral models, despite that being the easier option rather than building something from the ground up that will likely look awful, and to top this all off.. your only access to any of this is through a discord that had last I checked next to zero information, topics all over the place, and now is locked behind an ID check? Requesting to share IDs with a questionable discord channel mod is already a redflag in itself and the whole thing collapsing because people have moral concerns makes me doubt this thing will ever get to anywhere.

I did just that, got the ID and edited out practically anything that would be useable even to determinate which country it comes from only name and DOB shown. It got thrown back because no ID is provided, not suspicious....not at all.

I think the best is to use the models with genitalia added in, like the monsters/animals in skyrim, Feral may be a bit too much for some, but I can assure any would-be modder, far more people are there for it

Okay, I'll try and summarise for people trying to figure out what happened:

 

1. There are currently two Palworld mods 'under development'. Let's call the mod started in this topic 'Feral-friendly Palworld', and the other one 'Pals of Desire' (the anthro anime girl one).

 

2. Feral Friendly Palworld ran into issues when most of the dev team left over differences with the management of project and the NSFW content it would contain. These devs went on to found the Pals of Desire mod. Since then the Feral Friendly Palworld discord is scrambling to recover and implemented the ID verification, over the dreaded chance that a seventeen year old might join an adult discord of their own volition while lying about their age to get in. Currently the Feral Friendly Palworld mod team do not post in this thread since creating it (shit move and easily rectified), and the Pals of Desire team are in this thread posting links to their discord which is mudding it up a little.

 

3. Pals of Desire is at the moment not a sex mod, is focused on turning every Pal into anthro/human with animal features instead before maybe working on animations (based on the OP in their thread), and will likely to be starting a patreon so you can probably rule out any noncon/feral content anyway. They have their own thread where the devs are interacting with the forum and have opened up a discord of their own. I can't say whether they have any age verification at the moment because frankly I'm just not that interested enough in the project to join yet another discord.

What a joke. I'm not providing my ID, even cropped, to a discord moderator. You know how many stories there are of discord mods being creeps, doxxing people, or blackmailing people?

 

For all I know, I provide a cropped picture to the mod of this project, and he turns around and harvests the EXIF data to find my location because I insult his waifu 3 months from now. Or he has a program which undoes cropping. Or he triangulates my position based off the reflection of starlight in the photo using astral trigonometry to find me. Or some other bullshit. I'll go ahead and say it: asking for an ID from people is WAY sketchier than not asking for one.

 

If you actually give your ID, even cropped, to a sex mod discord moderator, you deserve the consequences of your stupidity.

Seems like the Palworld lewd mod scene is fairly pozzed all around at the moment. Personally I would prefer feral mod, but even of Pals of Desire gets more traction, simply making lewd models without making animations for them breaks the whole premise imho. Conversely, you have a power hungry modder on the other end of the spectrum who doesn't seem to have any idea what they're doing.

Personally, I lost a lot of faith in Palworld sex-modding when I started to see the humanoid models popping up. 

I was really just hoping that people would add genitals to the existing models and throw in sex animations when they defeat you/you do the “pet” action/are in the breeding farm. 
I get that feral content is definitely not most people’s thing, I’m just sick of people taking monster designs and turning them into a copy-paste anime girl model wearing a hat that vaguely ties them to the original design.

The cleanest and easiest solution to this issue is to make a framework and allow people to tweak it to their preference that means performing model swaps and animations how they want

Two things for that to happen, First a coder that's horny enough needs to show up, either a normal dude if the Devs release the mod tools, or an actual wizard if not. problem is that unless the Devs release full modding tools people need to reverse engineer shit. a detail is that you need to make the +100 Pals as anthro girls, for free(or suffer what happens with pretty much every last modding patreon ever), using your time, most likely in your breaks, or you can just make some animal genitals, paste them in every Pal that looks like they fit and be done with it, animations is another thing, is at least +600 scenes is you're planning to do both sexes or just +200 if you plan to change the petting animation into a lewd version.

Yeah I don't think we are gonna see any significant progress in terms of a mod like this until modding tools get released anyhow but it is nice to get some of the heavy lifting out of the way ahead of time like getting the model work done and getting organized

We weren't really shown anything regarding the mod, so ID verification to join a discord where no progress was announced or shown and full of edgelords is ridiculous. If liability is really what's scaring him, like someone else stated, just have the "This is 18+ server. minors do not enter" warning. 

as for POD, they have many good looking models and concepts and although I do love Anthros or waifus, I do like their original designs too, so it's kind of a bummer to hear that they're changing that so they feel more human so it doesn't feel like non-con.  but hey, they're the one modelling so they can do anything.

If the palhub (Orlin's server) is 4chan, POD really feels like twitter where people believe 2D fictional beings has human rights, and also easily spread allegations without concrete proof as if it's a concrete evidence.
