Pretty disappointed really, especially since the other mod being developed on here is focusing on atrophying everything into an anime-monster girl style and will likely shy away from a lot of the more interesting stuff under the guise of keeping it moral. Still, complaints about planned content aside, at least the account for that mod team is actually engaging with users in the thread and answering questions. It's a lot better look and they're far more likely to attract experienced modders on here to their project that way.

 

If the dev of this mod wants to gate everything including simple discussion and answering questions behind an ID locked discord server then this thread should just be deleted. At this point it only exists to advertise a discord link. Hopefully their project still goes well, but if they're going to ignore this thread then what's the point?

Entirely fair, I was sketched out by it too. 
The admins/owner of the server did specify that, even though the bot said it needed your real name, that you could black out literally everything so long as your date of birth was visible. 
So, basically my entire ID was a giant pink blotch, other than my birthday. Once it was approved, I deleted the picture, though. This mod better actually go somewhere after this.

I get that Orlin may want to avoid liability with the only +18 users on the server but it really is as simple as adding a channel that asks "are you over 18 years old?" and have a reaction of an approval and an X, and once you reacted the rest of the channels will open, that way you are free of liability and that's what most porn sites use to avoid problems.

 

Getting the people to show the id even if it has many parts blacked out just feels unsafe for most people and will hinder the progress of the mod, to have a project as big as this one to become a reality you will need as many people as possible and make it as accesible as possible, if not the project may just die in some weeks and even if it stays alive it will take waaaay longer to complete due to the lack of poeple/help.

 

So please @Orlin189 reconsider this new verify rule, I know lots of people want this mod to be true but only very few will risk it to give their id.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to get them cancelled or anything, I was just curious and found this on twitter. I have no clue if these accusations are even true, it's just funny how in the span of less than a week they managed to disband the dev team, lock the whole server behind an ID check and now we find out there are these allegations against them.

Might as well grab some popcorn and see where this "project" goes.

Wow, this went much faster than i expected lmao

One day, i look here and see PalWorld has nude mods day 1.
Then i look in here and notice the thread is gone, and PalWorld developed into it's own section.
One more look and a Sex Mod claims to be kickstarted.
Another day and it's gone down the drain!

Honestly this has to be fastest i've seen a project take off with support and crash into a wall. A real shame. Also, have seen this ID debacle before, it never works out folks. If a server requires it, means the administration has no clue what they're doing and are entering emergency mode, so i can't put faith in this current project.

Though, hmm, if only i had useful skills for 3D modelling, animation and Unreal engine experience, i'd definitely start putting in effort into this. Agreed with users who mentioned the "anthro invasion" problem, yeah the people are fine with fucking pokémon but not pals it seems! Double standards i tell ya'. Anyhow, good luck whoever tries to push this idea forward, hopefully we'll see something before an update breaks everything!

As a person who has been around the server basically the whole time i can say this.

 

The ID verification is not as agregious as it sounds i do not agree with its presence mind you but all that is being requested is date of birth no names or anything.

 

I think orlin genuinely wants to make this mod happen but i feel they might be a bit new to this. Most people are currently locked out of said server due to the verification process atm.

 

But if i had to say anything is say orlin could maybe use some advice from people here who have done this before. I want to see this mod and im sure people coming here want to as well

Give his overly accommodating responses to every post (Sure, it'll have every single niche kink, why not!), complete inability to set expectations and lack of any actual technical skill (self admitted to being unable to code or model) it's pretty clear he has no clue what he's doing, the actual complexity of programming in the necessary systems or frankly any business leading any sort of effort..

I mean, dude, you still can. You're one hell of a skilled 3d Model maker (long-time fan here, love the Freya one), so I'm sure that if you made the models, someone WOULD put them in game. Of course, I understand that making 111 different models would be quite the time-consuming task.

It's not sus. Bot have purpose. It's for stop minors to join random adult Discord Servers.
They can lie about their ages easily. But They can't prove that They're 18+ without show their own IDs.
You don't need to show the Bot your full info of ID. They wanted only DOB.
Just cover everything except for DOB. I was able to join on the Discord Server.

...just because you feel safe enough to show a censored version of your ID on the net doesn't mean others will. Many people tend to be in situations where they can't reveal much about themselves without getting in trouble with their IRL social standings. Just showing she basic shape of the ID alone can tell someone what state or country you come from. That's one of the reasons why many here don't feel comfortable even showing censored versions of those documents.
