t3589 Posted March 19, 2014 Author Posted March 19, 2014 PS: I don't know what that means, sorry. It was a (bad) joke, as a female NPC changed her mind kinda quickly. Updating, TY! That's a let down. I love bad jokes. MalePC should be a touch more successful now fyi.
nyaalich Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 While I didn't translate it, going back to Saint's post, I think the joke was "the bitch is crazy." I think you're misunderstanding what I'm asking, T!. What I'm saying is that I do the showgirl thing in one of the outfit variants of the picture below. It's a single piece of clothing, so the parts cannot be un/equipped separately. So if I mark it for "keep on during sex" and then am propositioned for sex while wearing it, I would think that the resulting animation would be super weird. The point is that there wasn't a "keep on during sex" requirement for the exotic dance before. You regret ever having made the showgirl quest. Too bad! I like it. Ha! EDIT: Was the clothing requirement added due to some conflict/? with the strip dance?

EDIT: Was the clothing requirement added due to some conflict/? with the strip dance? The resulting animation would be weird. There never has been, and still isn't. I was just trying to figure out what could have caused it not to show up. The only thing that has changed was fixing the 'leave on during sex' list checking for the strip tease. It was why the dance was broken as you reported. Other than that, it's the same script it has always been. It was never added, and was never a requirement. It's simply a customization option while doing a strip tease.
BoondockSaint Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 While I didn't translate it, going back to Saint's post, I think the joke was "the bitch is crazy." Well, that's a decent and more or less accurate translation of what Verdi wrote (he used other words) in Rigoletto. Joke was, that female NPC reminded what's sung here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8A3zetSuYRg
nyaalich Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Just tried out v3. Tried just accepting it from the Tops and not the AW. Just got strip. Reloaded and accepted at AW. I got "perform at the AW" completed, even though all I did was have a talk with the guy and never go on stage. Since I'm sure that this is lower on your list of priorities and I'm guessing that the follies quest doesn't really affect other quests/scripts (a folly in and of itself?), would you like me to take a look at it in the GECK and figure out what's going on? Part of this was making sure that it wasn't just me. I believe I was running into the "mystical plug-in limit," so I deleted a bunch of stuff and tweaked my ini. I believe that it's fixed now. The first symptom was having a weapon just disappear from existence when I was using it during battle. I just went on a rampage (do you remember that video game? Punching buildings is so satisfying), and it didn't vanish. Neither did NPCs clothing (another telltale) as it had previously during normal gameplay.

I don't know why you keep saying that. lol Things that aren't working properly will always get my attention. Tested flawlessly at the Wrangler both before and after acquiring the follies quest. Maybe your outfit isn't being added to the clothing eval lists? Can you confirm you get the 'looks sexy' console spam when you put the outfit on after setting it in eval? Or any kind of 'looks'? You could try a different outfit? I used the Julia Chang outfit from SOStore to test with. Because of that I didn't need to explicitly set it in eval.
nyaalich Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I keep saying it because it seems like a tiny throw-away quest as opposed to all of the important relationship tracking stuff. I'll test what you suggested later today when I can. Thanks, T!.

Thank you.
nyaalich Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 And addendum: the outfit and options were working before some recent version.
t3589 Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 And addendum: the outfit and options were working before some recent version. I gathered that. It's why I'm not so quick to say it's on your end. I'm starting to wonder if maybe something got left over from clean save. Though I'm just guessing at this point. When I tested I was already hired at the Wrangler, before I took the Follies quest. - Got hired at Wrangler. - Went to Tops and got Follies. - Went back to Wrangler (it's around noon in this save). - Tested good. Just noting for the sake of accuracy. Shoot me a link to that outfit I'll go grab it and test with it. Though it bugs me because it makes me desperately want belly dancing anims. lol
nyaalich Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/39555/? I took lessons for several years, so that's why I've latched on to this quest. Didn't have a reason to download those outfits before. There are also showgirl outfits in there. I've thought about looking at some of the dance mods for belly dance-like idles, but that seems like a lot of work to go through depending on how those animations are setup.

nyaalich Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I'm certainly hoping that it wasn't tied specifically to that mod. Maybe just custom non-SCR clothes in general?
t3589 Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 I'm certainly hoping that it wasn't tied specifically to that mod. Maybe just custom non-SCR clothes in general? Updated. Try the new one. Has nothing to do with clothing and everything to do with timing. EDIT: That outfit makes the PCs ass look HUGE! lol
t3589 Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 OK I think we're back on track now. Updated. @nyaallich: I fixed the showgirl dance and it broke a bunch of other stuff. It should all be sorted out now. It was because you had an activity token that zeroed out at just the wrong time, telling the dance that it was over before it began. Nothing at all to do with clothing. Let me know if you still have problems with it. Thanks once again for your feedback. EDIT: The problem you were having started when I introduced shorter pause timers.
nyaalich Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I tried out v5 (you may have updated since then). Part of the problem is that it isn't evaluating how you look on mod load. I checked the console and I didn't get any stats. Same thing: NO exotic dance option. Reloaded to the clean save. Switched my outfit off and on, got the exotic dance option.

You can try the Groovatron. It combines most of the dance mods and I'm pretty sure I've seen a couple of belly-dance-like animations in there. It works with hotkeys and is pretty easy to use, once you have set it up. Just make sure to delete the groovatron "KnockDownIdles" entry in the animation tree with FNVEdit to make it compatible with sexout. I've made a short tutorial for that, here: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/16277-sexoutng-framework-installation-guide-for-beginners/?p=365615

I checked the console and I didn't get any stats. Same thing: NO exotic dance option. Reloaded to the clean save. Switched my outfit off and on, got the exotic dance option. It doesn't need to re-evaluate, it does remember. I bet it was that the 'look' was forgotten when clean save happened. Just remember once you've clean saved, you have to redress, even if the settings are still active in clothing eval. If you clean saved and never redressed then you probably lost the 'look' that was set. There was definitely a timing problem though. So all in all, still a worth while pester. lol

Check out the videos they have. Pretty nifty.
BruceWayne Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 It contains the same animations, IIRC. The groovatron comes with the advantage of having NVSE hotkey support, so you won't have to manually playidle all the animations with the console to check them out or worse, use the "funky" anim preview in GECK.
nyaalich Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Umpa does say that people can use the anims in mods if you give him/her credit. I don't know if T! already knows this or not and is planning to surprise us with pole dancing when he adds in another faction/hotel. I've used the tutorial before since I downloaded Alice in Wasteland from the Nexus and had to delete that idle. It's a good tut. : ) If I haven't already "liked" it, I should. : D
BruceWayne Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Yup, they're up for grabs (at least UMPA). I think he said somewhere that he just converted them from some motion capture sources he got a hold of. Most of them are around since Oblivion and got ported for all Beth games since.
t3589 Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 We need a Monkees mod. Where everyone gets together at the end like in the TV show and dances around, even the villains. lol
nyaalich Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I'm installing. For science. I would think that the Dance Anim is just the same (or mostly the same?) as the ones that you're linked to on the groovatron's page.
