More on the recent G-Mail/Twitter/Facebook hacking:

Please remember, the video specifically says that malware was installed on many computers around the world. Run a scan on your computers, and change log-in information using a password manager. Changing your passwords now may just send the new info to the hackers' server(s). Now is a good time to use auto-fills using your comp, when you have the chance, because this virus gains it's info from keystrokes, on "certain websites", according to the report.

The plan is to make a true magazine out of it. Make it Official. I'm trying.

I'd be very much up for translating The LoversLab Times to other languages, but putting all that on this thread would be a bit much, especially since we may get responses in different languages then.

Anyone willing to translate LoversLab's news section here to another language is more than welcome to contact me via PM.

We'll become an international team, if at all possible, to get important news out to logo.png!

No matter which language they speak.

For example:

Die LoversLab Zeiten

All translators are welcome.

btw i noticed adobe also seem to have an effect when you post something here i had no script disable flash when you post something.

Don't get rid of Flash, just change your Adobe password. That crisis is being handled by the FBI. It should be sorta kinda safe to use Adobe products now.

Well, after Google got hacked, they got hacked again! Anyone surprised?

This time, however, they were hacked by the USA's beloved NSA. Google is not too happy about that, which I find strange, because Google originally agreed to let the NSA collect our records, along with Yahoo, Microsoft, and almost every other "trusted" major internet giant.

Google is actually considering pulling there engine from the US entirely, meaning no Google for Americans. Can you imagine?

In this link, you'll get to read all the details for yourself: CNBC

The logo-small.png  magazine article linked here tells how Google and the rest are beefing up security, to try to prevent this from ever happening again (and again, and again...).

Ironically, searching for things like Google was hacked, Google hackers, and search terms like that, leads you to pages that say 'How to hack Google', and 'Learn hacking', and other "lessons in hacking". You'd think that would be something they would have removed! They cleared out the kiddy and rape porn, but they left hacking classes there!? It's time for these fools to get their priorities in order, says this reporter.

And we're back, with Breaking News!

Following the recent G-Mail, Facebook, and Twitter hacks, Microsoft says they'll be protecting us from the NSA. I find this hard to believe, since the NSA is exactly who they made their agreement with. The agreement that allowed the NSA to tap our every word.

Now, however, they appear to be upset that the NSA is still doing it, claiming that it's against their policies, and rules. BULLSHIT! Stop lying!

Anyway, I am curious to know why Skype is not being mentioned among the newly protected Microsoft branches. This article will explain more on this mystery: TechCrunch

I read from some article with an email service that was the most secure one on the planet. It was the one that the guy that hacked the gov used to transfer the data. The owner was approached by gov and told to give them access when the refused they the gov pressured him with legal action. Eventually he offered to "mine" the info that was requested provided it was suponia properly. Reasonable correct. According to the article they refused. They wanted "real time" access to the system. Basically open the computers up to them. Eventually he had to shut down the service to protect those that used that service. Then because he mentioned that he had to shut down the service because the government was forcing him to give access to the email servers the gov almost brought him up on charges of contempt of court etc.

Google and others have agreed to give the info over that is requested on their users. The Gov isn't interested in that anymore. They want to have "live" data as it happens.

Google haven't removed the hacking info because they have a stance of free info given. The kiddy porn etc is illegal in many countries so that has to be removed. Also any movies and other things when a copy-rite claim is given to them. They only remove what is required by law.

Whatever happened to actually investigating and following leads? Getting suponias? Following the Constitution?

Unfortunately I don't have that article anymore. I forget which one it was from, might have been from the New York Times.

speaking of NSA did you guys even know your precious NSA seem to be able to look at you while you have webcam on your pc ?? :P

They don't even need the lightswitch to be on to be able to make use of your webcam. Now that is scarry.. :P

You know, we all gave the NSA permission to spy on us in all those Terms and Conditions that we didn't read...

Speak for yourself. i never gave this agency any permission. and i read all terms and conditions and none of them gave them he right to do it. or i would have not even used what ever it was that gave it to them..

To make matter worse i am not even an American and i don't even live in the United states of Asses.. No pun intended but that webcam breach has really pissed me off.

The NSA claims that they don't read our phone texts. They say they just know who texted who, and where they were when they did, it and what time it was done. Those 3 things are already bad enough, but how am I supposed to believe they don't read them? Because they say they don't?

Pleeeease. "They can't say good morning, without lying twice" - Hawke, Dragon Age 2

If they read every word we type on the net, why would they not read our texts? D_MannXX2, you say they watch our web-cams? Any proof? Not that I don't believe you (I do), but I always like to have proof I can read about, especially on a newspaper.

Would someone care to explain what would give them the right to do that? They have supposedly been tracking the things we do to find terrorist activity. Do you think for one second that a terrorist would use a web-cam to do their dirt? Of course not! Therefore, if they are watching web-cam activity, the only thing they are doing is breaking the law, in a voyeuristic fashion.

The biggest criminals are the one's hired to catch them. The government that makes our laws, are the ones that break them the most. The worst spyware is being created by those sworn to uphold, and enforce, our laws.

Bye bye, 4th Amendment. It's been fun.

This is AwfulArchdemon,  hiding in the corner from the NSA. (Crap! This corner is bugged!)

snowden has been the one who revealed it and was also on the news and radio in my country all day yesterday.

Also there was news they hacked the xbox to do so, smartphones laptops etc.. They use your build in cam without the lights going on, so you would not even know your built in cam was working. best thing to do is put a red tape on the cam to make sure they can't see you, but some smartphones has microphone too so they can not only view you but also ear drop to what you are saying behind a laptop or phone etc..

btw snowden deserves a hero welcome not criminalized like they are doing now they should be ashamed they are called humans since they give humans a bad name everywhere.

Sounds like some guy at the NSA got caught slacking off at work, playing a bit.

"What's that you're doing there, Johnson?"

"Tracking terrorists in WOW, Sir! These online games are full of 'em!"

"Really? Right, nice catch. I'm putting you in charge of a task force that'll conduct 24/7 surveillance on the bastards. I hope this task isn't too big for you? I can always ask..."

"Oh, not at all, not at all... I can manage."

The sad thing is, this is completely and utterly plausible in our society.

WARNING!!!

If you are prompted to update Java I would refuse.  I clicked the download (I am updating Google Chrome browser) and after the Java install my screen was locked by a bogus NSA/FBI/Homeland Security warning that I was viewing illegal content (kiddie porn) and then it gave me 'examples' of the 'pictures' it 'found' on my computer.  Pictures of 20 something-year-olds taking shots of themselves with their phones..that was the 'illegal content.'  I laughed and read down a bit and to avoid criminal prosecution I had to pay their '$300.00 fine'...payment by a prepaid Green Dot card.  WTF?  US.GOV now wants payment by untraceable scam artist tactics?   It was all just bullshit.  I don't look at kiddie porn to begin with (children are too small) and the images they claimed I had stored on my PC were simply not there.  The culprit was 'JavaUpdate 75' and the publisher was Oracle.  I simply unplugged my system, restarted and uninstalled Java.  The situation went away.

Here's the link to the Java page that did the damage.

http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp

DO NOT download or update Java!!!

I didn't get the name of the 'company' or the origin of the block.  My bad, I simply wanted it off of my PC asap.  If I encounter it again I'll ref this post and add the info.

kendo i heard about those scam. did not know it was due to update of java. i never really trusted this company to begin with. java has allot of bogus back doors in there programs hackers use to infect pc with so i try to minilize this.

my browser is always running in safe mode so nothing can be installed by 3rd parties even if they did a re start will simply undo what they did.

Yup. I know a few people who got that stupid screen lock. Figures it would be Java. I haven't gotten any message saying to upgrade it though. Weird.
