Unfortunately I can't help much, I don't have the saves from that playthroug anymore, and I can only help based on what I remember.

As I mentioned before many AI packages are faulty, and wait not always will help.

It's always best to start by waiting or if they don't move and you know where to go, go alone as the quest stage may be updated with new packages.

Sometimes the quests are just broken, like with Noren in chapter 1, and you can only progress using the console, or through failsafe if Delzaron include one.

 

The difference between "moveto" and "player.moveto", is how you use actor references:

"moveto player" - you have one reference from selecting npc in console, the other is "player"

        you basically telling game that you want to move selected npc to player - its affecting npc 

"player.moveto xxxxxxxx" - you don't have to select the NPC in the console because you have both references in one command - player and xxxxxxxx

        you are telling game that you want to move player to xxxxxxxx - its affecting player

xxxxxxxx in this command is the reference identifier or RefID for short (don't confuse it with base ID).

The difference between a reference ID and a base ID can be difficult for beginners. It's easier to understand if you know what's going on under the hood.

To keep this simple think of base ID as character template and reference ID as specific NPC copy in game based on that tamplate. There can be multiple npc copies based on that template (bandits are good example).

 

As for setstage, it is too long to describe, Google might be your best friend in this matter (and I don't want to hit you with a bigger wall of text 😂).

There are couple of commands that can be helpful:

- There is command for showing all active quests, but I don't remember that one because I use xedit instead.

- sqs command - means show quest stages, it will tell you at which point in quest you are.

        1 mean stage has been completed, 0 it was not (so first 0 in stages after last 1 is stage where you currently are - usually, but that is more complex)

- setstage "questID" stage - it will put you in specific stage of specific quest.

        For example "setstage aFTD1_Chapter1_Dawnstar 130" - put you in stage "130" of "aFTD1_Chapter1_Dawnstar" quest

 

You are currently in "aFTD3_dawnstar2" quest.

"sqs aFTD3_dawnstar2"                      will tell you exactly what stage you are at

"setstage aFTD3_dawnstar2 xxx"        will put you in "xxx" stage

 

If I recall correctly you should speak with Mirae, tell her that she should speak with Fulvius in "winking skeever". She should be between solitude carriage and dock.

Just in case, select Fulvius in the console, go to Mirae, and talk to her. If there's no dialogue, type "moveto player" into the console, because something tells me Fulvius must be nearby.

If that doesn't help, use setstage, but I don't recommend it for this part. Somewhere in this quest you should choose an infiltration method, so it's best to use the setstage command carefully.

Trying to progress with the Solitude quest, I spoke to Xander and got a notification but I keep getting CTDs when I exit the ship. Being generous and chalking it up to something else in my modlist, what is supposed to happen afterwards?

Gulum-Ei may not want to talk to you. Mods like RDO, Puppet Master, etc. can help (console also, as long as you make him at least friend). In the vanilla version, you befriend him in the thieves storyline. Broken Oar it's a huge dungeon. You might have trouble finding the note, but it's there.

It's not about your generosity, but there's probably a serious incompatibility, and I doubt this mod is responsible. It doesn't make any major changes to this location. If you managed to get there and can't get out, it's probably something less obvious.

CLA SSE - Crash Log Analyzer                            translate it into human language             https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/89860?tab=description

It may not give you the answer to what exactly caused CTD, but it will at least tell you what happened. This will narrow down the search.

 

You can also use xedit. There are many methods for determining the cause of CTD.

Was able to talk to Gulum-Ei, I went back to Xander to get information on the slaver but after I talked to him again I don’t know  what ai’m supposed to do next.

I got the impression that you were much earlier.

You'll need to talk to the NPCs inside. After a few dialogues, a pop-up should appear informing you that your curiosity has caught someone's attention, then leave the ship.

From there everything should be semi-automatic until the end of the quest.

Game gives me a black screen when I exit the ship, had to use console commands to teleport elsewhere. Does this break the quest?

I think it is. This quest is pretty straight forward, from what I remember, and I didn't have issue there.

When you exit ship you should be teleported to cell in Castle Dour, with your gear temporary removed. After talking to Fulvius the quest should be completed.

You may have seen a black loading screen when you were transferred to another location, but due to some issue on your end, this was not completed (infinite loading ??).

 

You may check autosaves. Sometimes game can do that. It move you to new location, but stay on loop. Reloading autosave can help, but I think it risky on longer playthrough. Who knows if it's saved correctly? If this is always, then that mean there is issue there.
Are you sure that you have all requirements? I think ZAZ was used there.

 

Besides solving your CTD/black screen problem, there is one more thing you can do safely.

Kiegrim has failsafe dialogue. Complete the rest of the quests in Chapter 1 and talk to him. It allows you to bypass these four quests.

You're not missing much. This is basically a dialogue with Fulvius.

I didn't learn much... Arthrarak is a slaver, working on the Ghost Sea. I only know he's hidding his boat in an harbor. I need to think a village with an harbor, where people let this business occurs without question. It exclude Solitude for sure..

Used the debug option by talking to Kjegrim. After a while doing other quests I teleported to the courier and got the note. Now I’m at the part where he’s supposed to talk to Fulvius, but they just stand there looking at each other.

 

Edit: I’ve progressed through this part pf the quest, though I had to constantly enter and exit the basement and missed 95% of the dialogue.

Its blocked due to low corruption and perversion. In v59 it should be mcm, increase both to 20-30, you can also do this through the dialogue with Kiegrim you used.

Bad AI references, move to console helps.  There are a few places where this might come in handy.

The Puppet Master mod I mentioned earlier also helps in these situations. Its simplified follower framework. Cast puppet spell but dont set them to follow you, and just spam summon spell (it's a shout). Alternatively ask them to follow you but after bugged AI part dismiss them.

Hi,

Don't know if this issue is already know and/or resolved but since stage 2 when i started dreaming when going to bed the boobs of my character (and only thoses) are stuck, they're not bouncing anymore. And it's only the boobs that are having the problem, Hair / butt physics are both working normaly.

 

I tried to equipe/desequip my armor bu it didn't worked. Went back to a previous save before the dream everything is working. Tried to go to the dream naked, didn't worked boobs still stuck. Tried to relaunch the game, run nemesis and fnis, nothing's working.

 

Any ideas ?

so if someone could help me, im on the final dawnstar quest on the cultist path and it seems there are no poles to interact with. i have tried reloading and save/quit and nothing has worked so i thought i would ask here for help

What version of zaz did you used ? the mod needs 8.0+

Doing Nuai and the Riekling quest, journal says I need to go to “the cave entry,” but I’m confused on where it is. Nothing seems to trigger when going to the Solsteim or Mountain Deeps entrance.

started the first rituals quest after the ritual to spawn the lurker nothing happens when i walk up.

Hey loving the mod one of the best quest ones so far. However im stuck waiting for maive in The Ascending quest. Ive waited for days and still no message unfortunately. Would like help or a skip quest option please and thank you.

I made a quick gender swap esp for the Party Quest because there were no female alternatives which i really dislike not having. The esp has the same masters as this mod so should work in any list. If not let me know but it did work on my end with sex scenes also working etc. 

Just put it in the same mod folder and let it overwrite the main mod. 

 

I'm probably gonna expand a bit on this and might post it on its own modpage later on.

I've always been curious about this mod... what's the current status would you say?

  • WIP (the quest lines aren't finished
  • Alpha (quest lines finished, but obvious bugs/ problems to be fixed)
  • Beta (quest lines finished, and only minor bugs with work arounds remain)
  • Basically bug free?

I have the 8.0+ person of zaz I could see where the polls go and there was collision but no textures for some reason

The cave entrance is market by an objective; just go to west of the academy, shore side. It's a cave entry.

Cultist patth quest os done.

For investigator, the main path is done.

Just some bugs, like that damn lurker on the shore...

just speak to the riekling chief, after you completed Winterhold investigation quest, and before chapter 3.

It spawns in updates telling me to walk up then no animation starts after i do. so im not sure if its suppose to start automatically or if i need to manually start it.
