Hopefully someone else with VR can try it to see if they experience this, which may indicate it's VR specific, or just my installation. Everything else seems to be working fine .. I'll continue to have a play though with tweaking settings, but at least I know what mod was causing me an issue. Again, thanks for your help.
jc321 Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 (edited) OK, I've just experienced this DLL error on Fitness quest (in Devious Followers mod) when asking to do exercise. And the crash happens at the point I'm being equipped with a Ring Gag .... which is possibly (at least a theory) that in Devious Lore that location where I also get this error there are NPC's are also wearing Ring Gags. Would that make any sense? - Again .. all in Skyrim VR. Edited November 3, 2023 by jc321
Jeffmanns Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 After replacing DAR with OAR, i keep getting this popup on launching the game... Any clues on how i could fix it? (or just close the popup).

What you've got here is the old OAR conversion that's been floating around LL, it was made for a pre-release version of OAR. Edited November 4, 2023 by krzp

Unfortunately, don't have a timeline for that atm. One last test, can you temporarily try NG without Devious Lore? We encountered issues with it pre-release and judging by what @jc321 shared they might still persist.

Though, from what I remember, it doesn't involve DD? Do you have the crash logger installed? Edited November 4, 2023 by krzp

It was recorded on a fairly potato-ish laptop, but still that's was an i7 - and I didn't slow it down on purpose or anything, that was a fair comparison of how that performed on a new game. ? Nemesis was a little faster on it, from what I remember, but still pretty noticeable.

If you're looking to have just a small group of people as testers, I'd be happy to volunteer. I uninstalled NG for now because it was crashing way too much to the point where it was no longer playable, I'd gladly put it back on for testing purposes.

Most of our testing stuff is on the Discord but we can drop them occasionally here as well. We've maybe identified the underlying issue (related to the node hider) and are working on a fix. Menu Maid 2 could help you breaking the MCM limit, it creates additional pages if I recall correctly (Sorry for the off-topic) 1

randomUser2019 Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 I keep running into crashes occasionally, my guess is that it's to do with devices being equipped but I can't tell from the crash logs. My only clue is that it seems to happen whenever I approach an area where Devious Strike can spawn Strikers and bulk equip them with devices upon spawning. Hopefully it's something fixable. I do have the patch posted earlier in this thread as well. crash-2023-11-06-03-29-02.log
randomUser2019 Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 I also occasionally get this variant of crash report where there isn't a dll specified in the initial error. crash-2023-11-06-03-40-50.log
Guest Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 For anyone interested in trying out a testing build, we think we pinpointed the random CTDs to the experimental node hider. Just install the patch over DD NG (should be compatible with the patch I posted earlier). Hopefully, this stops the CTDs and if not, we'll at least have eliminated one of the potential causes. The only minor observation is it took a fraction of seconds longer to kick in (ie: I saw the gag actually equip when previously crashed before .. although sounds played for equipping .. and at Devious Lore location could walk about a couple of metres longer into it.).

Gotcha, we did get positive reports on the SE/AE side so if anyone could confirm whether or not they're also getting CTDs that would be very useful. This might be a VR-specific issue post-patch.

Edit: So when I loaded my save, I immediately noticed that DD Helpers and Devious Lore stopped working again with getting NPCs or followers to help you remove restraints. I have all the other patches because they work fine when I remove the Node Hider patch. I stopped testing at that point. Edited November 10, 2023 by serranna

This might be a VR-specific issue post-patch. OK, some positive news, some maybe not so. I realise there's another address library called VR Address Library which I have loaded due to other mod requirements and not in a position to remove it as it was kicking up errors for missing files (so I'm guessing there are other mods depending on it). However I did notice I was running Version 0.88 and there is a 0.105.0 version up which I've updated it to. In terms of the Devious Lore location issue .. Success! - No flashing up of a DLL error In terms of the gag being equipped with Devious Followers (Fitness deal .. ready to work out) Not so, but I get a CTD this time, not a DLL error. Have attached my Papryus log (as it seems to have some related info at the bottom that you might be able to work out). Co-Incidentally reading the posts on the Nexus link for VR Address library it appears this DLL popping up is a regular thing .. Although I've never experienced myself before and the actually error number I get is different to the one that appears to crop up. .. In which case would appear this DLL issue has actually been the VR Address Library (albeit triggered by Devious Devices NG) Hope this helps https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/58101?tab=files Papyrus.0.log
