Looking through the files right now and thinking about trying my hands at making my own custom set of cards again.
Does anyone know what the "alt" cards are for and how they are implemented in game? Is the idea that the user can pick which one of two similar artworks they want and only the main one will actually appear in game?

The alternate card is just next to the non alternate one on the display:

Card collectors. Anyone here manage to get all the cards? and if you do, what was your strategy?

It's been quite some time since I did any modding stuff but I figured I'd temporarily re-appear out of my hermit shell to respond to some questions and such (the things I can semi-adequately answer anyway)

They do respawn, though some of the more "special" loot was made to be non-respawning, if I remember right. Regardless, it should be the 10-days default dungeon timer for them to respawn (and not the 30 days for "clearable" dungeons).

You definitely wouldn't want to do that, too many records, several added interiors, etc. Converting it to an ESL would almost certainly break the mod.

I did hop in-game to test this and yeah indeed the card can't be picked up - I can't really justify putting out an update just for that single card alone, but for now doing a quick tcl to grab it works just fine.

Hopefully google translate got your message correct - I wasn't able to recreate crashing there myself, so I assume it has to be something on your end. The addition of a single card to that cell couldn't make any conflicts with anything else, so it'd have to be some other issue. For your other post indicating that your holos aren't displaying correctly, that's another issue I can't recreate on my end unfortunately - I can only guess it's something ENB-related, or a bad install of some kind? Sorry I can't be of further help.

A slightly cheesy method you could go with is getting rich and using the merchant restocking strat to repeatedly buy from the trader in the portal room, once you have it unlocked. I did get a message recently from a user who managed to complete their collection, so yeah, definitely doable!

I looked into it and it does appear the updates for that mod threw me and most other patch-makers a real curveball. The patch would definitely need to be updated, and it looks like the new format they designed is going to take me a decent bit of work - I might find a free day to grind it out, but for now I'm going to put up a warning to only use the patch with old versions of Completionist (before 4.1.0.2+). Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

I did actually make this idea over a year ago, I took it down for a while because I thought it was a bit meh in comparison to this mod, but brought it back because people asked for it. You can get it from this post

Thanks for your work, how do I make the cards have the holo effect on the picture, I used the Add Item Menu to pull all the cards and they don't seem to have any special effects. I'm sorry my English is not good

When the cards are just flat the effect won't show, you have to move/rotate them around in your inventory to see it. If you do that and you're still not getting it, it's either an ENB clash or an issue caused by replacing textures incorrectly (i.e., the normal maps or environment mask textures - these should ideally be left alone)

I had found another card that could not be picked up in the soul cairn.  I think it was by the doorway to the loot chest near the vendor who trades soul husk for items.  I have a heavy LO so I figured it was probably a conflict of some sort.

Hello, thank you very much for such a good mod, I like this thing of collecting things in the game and more because you give us a tutorial to do with our own images.
Now independently of your mod, I have a question about a Nexus mod BBR that is also about cards and has a gallery only that when displaying them the cards are upside down the image is inside the wall if I do it through the TCL console and enter the wall there are the images, they are upside down I already told the author but he doesn't fix it.
I don't know if you can help me solve the problem with this mod please how do I do it

Glad you enjoyed the mod. I had a quick look at bbr, it uses a different system to mine but I'd guess that the author needs to fix something going wrong in their positioning script. I can't really devote the time to trying to fix someone else's mod though, apologies.

Thank you very much for your answer, I really thought it was something easy to fix myself, in the position of the images something easy, I see that it is not and all this of course advised by you.

I have been enjoiying this mod, adds some extra fun things to collect. 

I just unlocke dthe 3rrd specail dugeon the middle portal but when ever i click the pedastal in the centre of the room it will crash, just wondering if you could help point me to where to look to ssee whys cuasing this

I can't recreate any crashes on my end, do you think you might've done something unusual in particular to trigger that? Otherwise I'm not really sure what'd be causing that for you. In the worst case scenario, you can still replay the other dungeons to get the other cards from the Dungeon set - you technically don't have to play all the dungeons to get a full collection.

I wrote this small patch to fix this. Base Object Swapper is required. You can include it in the downloaded list if you wish haha :D

So I just installed this mod (haven't launched my game yet) and Vortex reported that it tried to alter some of my FNIS animation files when deploying. I've not seen anyone post this sort of issue before. I told Vortex to discard the changes.

 

Any idea what might be up?

 

Edit, a few hours later.: Any way to tell if the mod is working? 

 

Edit 2 15 min later. My first card dropped. It's working!

This mod is fun, but I'm surprised that the guardian stones only have one card instead of three and the lord stone doesn't have A card at all even though all the other stones do

I really like your mod. Finding these cards is really fun. Can you tell me how to add more cards? I made so many replacement pictures. If I download this mod again, how can I keep them from covering each other and make them into two separate mods?
