No...I mean in certain cases, Oblivion needs to be tricked into using mods by altering the time stamps on new files. This is done with the OMM and can be set to do automatically when OMM closes. Be sure you also have full admin over whatever folder Oblivion is located in-case that's the issue. That's the BSA redirection...get Oblivion to not go for the stock BSA file, but rather, the new file.

My bad...Oblivion Mod Manager. A must-have for anybody playing Oblivion.

BSA etc is in OMM's setting, I believe...or utilities...one or the other.

 

With OMM you can set the load order of your mods...very important in cases of conflict(s)...the lower mod in the load order trumps the ones above.

And have you set archive invalidate via Bsa Redirection with Wrye Bash  or OBMM ?

If not  the game will use original game nif and textures, not the new installed body.

If you have the OBSE Plugin Blockhead installed you can add the body with the Blockhead overwrite folder only for the player.

 

Spoiler

Create the folder

meshes\Characters\BodyAssetOverrides\PerNPC\Oblivion.esm\

 

Now you copy the 4 body meshes you want in the Oblivion.esm folder

 

You rename the 4 meshes to

00000007_lowerbody.nif

00000007_upperbody.nif

00000007_hand.nif

00000007_foot.nif

 

Only the player will use these body meshes.

 

Now the Female Textures: femalefoot:dds and femalehand.dds

You create a folder

textures\Characters\BodyAssetOverrides\PerNPC\Oblivion.esm\

 

You rename the 2 textures and the  _n.dds

00000007_hand.dds

00000007_hand_n.dds

00000007_foot.dds

00000007_foot_n.dds

 

Only the player will use the textures.

 

 

reset time stamps , set archive invalidate , Mod manager.... read my yellow Link below.
