I am a bit annoyed that origin characters aren't voiced in dialogues when you play as one, which makes me think that they were designed to be a companion rather than the main character.

Hi Bud. If you have problems bc of the sort of difficulty (new to this typ of games idk, specualting), this might fix ANY issue you might have

 

For Moders may interesting, the main table bg3.CT has a "Get equpied item_ID" function.

>Respec anytime anywhere, give Action (BonusActions) Points as much you like, spawn in Items, Quest_Reward items,...Rest Team without a need to go to a camp, Go over Lvl 38 BUT try not to make one lvl12 until you have all you want and pick ONE to make it Lvl 12!...tons of other drop down functions.

 

Hope it can/will help one or another to increase enjoyment or just powercreep or most importent, help to mod smt.

Thanks but the only problem I have with the game is that I don't like it. Just for the record, I've been playing RPGs for ~25 years.

He's most likely been trying to like it, wanted to like it. Had happened to me as well with the original BG games. Wanted to like them but I hated the companions, in fact the first thing I did was to kill Imoen just outside of Candlekeep, then I installed more than a dozen mods, used Shadowkeeper to give my character godly powers so that I can play it solo, and yet was never able to like the game that much. If your alignment shifted slightly towards evil the whole game would break, everyone would start attacking you on sight until you donated enough gold to "fix" your alignment. It was a pretty retarded game for me and there was more annoyances like that in those games. Also had similar issues with DA:O. Finished it a couple of times, installed mods etc. but I never truly liked it.

TL;DR We don't always play the games we love.

I played Skyrim for 6 years without ever coming anywhere near completing the game. It was the mods which provided my enjoyment. It is the same with BG3 except there are not enough mods yet.

I very rarely finish any game or play them the way they were intended to be played. I may have played games for 25 years or so but I have read books for almost 60 years and to me video games don't even qualify as third-rate fiction in terms of story, dialogue, etc. and what goes on in my head is always better than what the game provides.

 

I played BG2 and IWD2 several times each over the years but that was because of mods.

 

I actually broke the game last night and now none of my saves will load - CTD every time. I can start a new game but whether I can be bothered to I don't know yet. I haven't played the game for several days but I might see if I can fix it later if only because I have a couple of mods I want to try.

The tadpole(s) become you. Lit. you change them, from beeing smt else, into smt "new" from you.

Your new "flesh" if you will, granting you new powers.

In my post, where i droped CheatEngine Tables to lit. do anything what ever you want to change/add/Spawn,..

 

You can find in the Main Table (bg3.CT), the section:

> "On Demand Cheats" -> "Add Tadpole"

And under the Main Table (bg3), the section:

> "Passive/Feats Cheats" -> "Add Tadpole Passives"

 

If you want to use it, please read the How to do it part!

While i agree to the points of actual BOOKS,... books can not produce the visual power a game can, the active interacion, the imersion is way more intensiv in a game, then in a book. Ofc you can ALSO get thos while reading & imagine the words made into pictures into your head,..may dream about it,.all yes...but compared to games, those are vague often bloom representations of the words you read, in comparison what a game can do. Ofc,..the game has to lean on the written words,..which as so often it does not in Movies & Games,...and at that exact point i will even grant you 100% absolut right.

 

In my 53 Years...and arround let me think about it,... in my 3o years of gaming, from floppy disc to 3,5 from Atari and the 1st very Personal Computer (PC), i seen them all. Mostly great ones, in a good finished manner. It got worse after Comand & Conquer Red Alert,... Tiberian Sun (i think) was that time some games went down hill including this one.

 

Skyrim,...i could not play it, even if i wanted, bc it was "in my opinion" a absolut bug fest of a unfinished game, like a book written but parts left away.

One of those games, i will hate for, what it did to the total gaming community,.. accepting less for nothing in return.

 

Same is now with StarSh!t,.. it is one of the worsed games ever made,..in no Genre within it, it can reach a "todays standart", wether in FPS at best medicore nore Exploration a absolut 0 at Space a udnerperforming and lit. scaming path to sell that to players today as "Space Gameplay" meanwhile

Freelancer has all but Gfx, Planet miniMap (since StarSh!t has only fakePlanets) and FPS,...in any otehr point BOTH have within 1:1,.. this game from 97 to 2003 developed (6years) vs a game 7+1year delayed developed game 2023,...beats StarSh!t at any point,...any.

Every Base/Dungoen/Cave/Enemy location/Treasure location/ Bosses omg... they are ALL THE SAME just on another "empty" planet,..every loot box at th exact same location you found them today,.yesterday,..the day before,..INSANITY... its a game for dumies imo... objective seen not postobjective. Its a total fail also as a Story based and advertised game...its a SCAM with this flat and boring Word-Salad. It is a shame, some fall for it,..and this makes other developers more easy to milk/scam players in their games,..i am lookign to you Diablo,.. suck balls today,..back then 1 and 2,.were pure god titels,... RIP.

I picked this up early access on steam, then shelved it till full release, to me this title is perfection, the devs took notes from the community and delivered it in a big way, some  lewd mods would be nice to see, but this is one title that floats really well on its own.

Stealth seems pretty broken. Some nosy bitch caught my high level thief picking a lock while she was walking down the street outside and below my position. Murdered her dumb ass and proceeded to loot the place. Other times when I absolutely should fail a stealth check, I don't.
