Yeah that's the thing, I don't see that log file. That's what I meant by "no extra log file" because there are no other files under \Logs\Script.

 

I followed the instructions under that hyperlinked text. Anything I missed to generate this Papyrus log file you mention?

Like, do I have to wait a specific amount of time in-game for it to generate? etc.

 

Edit: The lack of the log was apparently a fluke, I guess. Here's the file that generated on a second try.

BTW, due to the nature of the bug you should have seen scenes when you would have spawned more than one wolves ^^

One other thought I had: Any chance of allowing us to whitelist certain factions? Aside from the downed and struggle animations from Baka's Defeat mod, the other perk of the mod is that it whitelists the Bakafaction (or whatever it is named) so that the mod can play well with their other Baka mods.

I don't have any black- or whitelists for factions in Simple Assault, it only separates followers, hostile and neutral actors(=the rest).

It checks for general flags to verify that an actor is usable for SL scenes (like 3D loaded, no chair, no child and not dead). Then it separates between human and creatures. That's all.

The magic to decide whether it's a valid outcome comes from the Acheron framework itself. That one checks whether an actor is hostile to the player or not. After Acheron decided that a hostile actor won the battle it starts my outcome.

 

If an actor is hostile to the player totally depends on Skyrim's internal logic. As a rule of thumb: if you have a red dot for that actor during a fight in your compass, that actor is hostile to you ^^

Right, thanks for the explanation.

 

I assume you don't use Baka's mods. The reason they include a compatibility option (the thing that provides the auto-whitelist) in their SL Defeat Baka Patch is that their other mods initiate events upon defeat by an enemy classified under the Baka faction. If player is downed by NPC of Baka faction during a Babodialogue event and a Defeat event happens simultaneously, for example, we can assume the clusterfuck that'll happen. I assume based on your explanation that hopeful users of both Acheron plugins and Baka's mods will have to ask for a whitelist function in the Acheron framework.

Aah, now I think I got it. Then I have good news:

Scrab is planning to add more conditions to the yaml file syntax, that creates the bridge between Acheron and the outcome.

 

If you look in the SKSE/Acheron folder of any outcome, you'll find folders for different outcome scenarios (mostly hostile) and they keep a yaml file inside.

You already have the option to only allow defeats from certain factions by that. Another condition can be that the victim needs to be member of a certain faction.
Later on, there probably will be the possibility to blacklist factions and check for quest states.

yeah my bad, I think it is working when I'm prone on the floor. Earlier version of Simple Assault kept the player standing after the enter-bleedout animation finished, so I never got to see Baka's animation actually working. It still happens before the first round of assault, but Baka's animation does appear to work after every subsequent scene before my player can run away.

This is not a mod, but a resource. If there's an actual mod that uses that and has any possibility to hook into it, I could give it a try.

Else, I'm not entirely sure what you want. If that's meant as request for an outcome, it just would be get defeated -> get put in that device -> die/k.o. 


Still, as I myself am absolutely not interested into that gore/execution stuff, I see no point in creating it. Maybe pama is willing to create an Acheron hook for their work.

Simple Assault 0.6.0, Acheron 1.2.1. Downed by Bear, am told Failed to create assault scene. Problem is that I do have Bear animations. Human assaults still work, creature assaults are broken. Creature assaults were actually fixed in your Assault update before 0.6.0, after my first report here. They either broke with 0.6.0 or Acheron 1.2.1. I can’t tell as I updated both at the same time.

 

Also annoying, as I've mentioned before, is that the player remains standing after the bleedout animation, even though the assault progresses. Player only remains prone after one assault scene has successfully happened. So, in essence, seems like player cannot correctly remain on the ground on entering event, but correctly remains on the ground when entering animations during event.

 

I'm attaching my logs for the creature assault issue.

Hey, commenting here since I don't want to pay to ask on Acheron patreon.

 

I'm wondering if you absolutely need a new save to use Acheron and/or Simple outcomes. Installing on an existing save just nets me a CTD (a few logs included). New save starts up fine, but I didn't test functionality since I really want to continue on my old save.

Simple Assault 0.6.2, Acheron 1.2.1.

Creature assaults are still somewhat broken. The first assault in a game session proceeds normally: player is downed, sex animation plays, player escape event starts. All subsequent assault events are borked: if player health = 0, I lose all control over my player except for vertical camera movement. I can neither move my player nor rotate cam horizontally. Simple Assault proceeds directly to escape event, and as I can only remain where I am, the creature attacks me after the cooldown and so repeats the cycle. Only way out is to disable creature assault in Simple Assault MCM so that player movement doesn't lock up.

 

If you have implemented a cooldown for creature sex, like a refractory period, ideally either one of two things should happen when player health reaches 0: either player dies or player retains movement and can escape immediately. Otherwise, if no refractory period, I guess the assault is simple broken.

 

If it matters for context:

Updated Simple Assault from 0.6.0 to 0.6.2 mid-playthrough. Creature actor was a Troll.

For one: anything that happens before the defeat is not handled by any of these mods. You can enable messages for defeat events in the Acheron MCM. My mods start only AFTER this message appears. So cooldowns for outcomes or if someone dies is not on my end ^^

 

For two: it seems like on your end the quest scene that controls the assault doesn't work properly when creatures are involved. I just don't know why, as I couldn't reproduce it yet :/ Normally, the scene just should skip the gold theft and commentary and directly jump to the sex.

 

Next: I'll change the way to choose whether creature assaults should be possible in the next update. There won't be a toggle in the MCM anymore, but a text block in the yaml file that sets the hook to Acheron. I'll explain the details when I upload it.

For the internals there's no real change for that yet, so I'm really not sure what the problem might be.

EDIT: for you, it seems to be another issue: do you have the latest version of PapyrusUtil installed? Is the Sexlab Framework overwriting PapyrusUtil, as it should? In your log I found the message that a PapyrusUtil function wasn't found. So it seems like you're not using the latest version

I'm using the version 3.9 of PapyrusUti because I use the SSE edition. And no, the Sexlab Framework was before PapyrusUtil in my loadorder. Now i'ts corrected.

Hmm, you should only be able to re-engage in a battle when the old assault finished. And when the quest finishes, it should revive all followers, too.

Do you have a log file for me? And did any animations play after the defeat or did you stand up right away after getting downed?

That's quite easy: the mod seems to work correctly as it should:

  1. It finds 1 male enemy
  2. It finds 2 followers
  3. It tries to start a scene with the enemy and your character
    1. The sexual preference of the enemy doesn't fit, as you're both male and he's hetero
  4. There are no enemies left for scenes with you
  5. No scene with you can be started, so there won't be any scenes

The mod only starts scenes at all, when the player will be part of one. If only followers would be assaulted, that won't happen.

Next, you only get your time to run, if you really run. If do any action, e.g. talking, looting, shouting or you ready your weapon, your enemies instantly will become hostile again.

 

I should maybe rebuild this, so that enemies who don't want to assault you, still rob you. For now, they simply will leave you as they have no interest in you. It should just be no sexual insterest.

 

Do you have another log for your encounter with a female enemy? The one you gave only includes assaults with 1 male enemy. Does a sexual assault happen with a female enemy? Was it only this one enemy? 

Normally, even after a sexual assault, all enemies should become hostile again, if you attack them
