Many people have probably asked this many times, but... will we have any updates with new animations by the end of 2025? 

 

I understand that this work is just a hobby and that animating and creating textures is difficult, but the adult Starbound community would appreciate it if we had new animations.

Can't and won't give any dates on anything. All I can assure is that if you have more artistic and tech savvy manpower to spare, it will be sooner.

So, for the life of me, sexbound fundamentally works animation wise and everything, i made sure everything is put together correct and have all the proper patches and such, i play Neki race and should have a few things happen and i can't figure out why it's busted but i won't go into heat and worse yet the npc's don't get aroused, so they don't fuck, so i don't get anything unless i use a dildo or such, that being said i also use Frackin Universe. I'll put the log in and if anyone could help me out that'd be awesome and id appreciate it. I have 0 clue reading well myself, Thanks.

There is virtually nothing wrong in your log. How are you determining that things aren't working?

NPC arousal takes by default 3-7 in-game days (20-ish to 60-ish minutes irl) of time they need to be actively loaded in.

The heat cycle comes, by default, between 10 and 30 in-game days.

I just be confusing some of the wiki and such, im glad everything is in order I just have to linger in areas more often, I had thought it was broken somehow because I've never seen NPCs just naturally go have sex, not enough sex nodes I guess? Even in Lustia (if that's the name, city of sex) i havent seen then try, thanks for delving anyways into my "issue" im simply impatient it seems, sorry for wasting your time and thank you again for looking, Mod from what I've interacted with has been wonderful addition to my game.

Places like that aren't planets in the universe, they're instanced, so I imagine every time you return, they're reset to default. You'd need to hang around a long time without leaving. And I also off the top of my head don't know where or how many nodes there are to fuck on there.

Personally I rarely see sex randomly happening except at my base, which is on a planet, so it would build up there. My base now has so many NPCs that there's always someone fucking, basically all the time. There are four tables to fuck on there.

That makes sense, I thought it was weird was all, but it makes plenty of sense now, I misunderstood the mechanics and such of the mod, now I know, I appreciate the insight cause I've never looked into how starbound handles those instances, I really should have im a huge nerd for that stuff.

out of curiosity, was the only thing added the lustia arcade patch? because the patch notes seem to indicate there was some sorta update to the main mod but none of the other files appear to have been touched

guys got a slight issue here i got the mod put in with a few others and it plays the chucklefish intro then closes the game sending me back to the desktop screen is anyone else having this problem and how do i fix it? also tried having the lustbound mod on with the arcade thing and i get this error message telling me that it's missing lox_sexbound any idea what it's talking about?

Yep. Uploading a new file requires making a new "version" which makes it so it says "Last updated: yesterday". The only thing that changed is the addition of the file download for the official Lustia Arcade Patch and the accompanying description change.

That error message tells you you don't have Sexbound installed.

but i had sexbound reborn installed though do i need the original sexbound mod AND sexbound reborn to get it to work? also how do i fix the issue of it sending me to the desktop after it plays the chucklefish intro?

By installing Sexbound properly. You have provided no log so I can't know exactly what you have or haven't done, but I'm gonna take a wild guess that you have un-zip-ed the mod using "Extract Files", not "Extract here"

Then you will need to take folder inside the extracted folder and put THAT into the mods folder instead. Mods that are nested do not get recognized by the game, as such it treats Sexbound as if it is not installed at all, therefor crashing when trying to load mod that says "I cannot live without Sexbound!"

Hey Erina,

 

First of all I want to thank you for your work on this mod and all the updates and help you provide.

 

So, I noticed you updated the game so I decided to replay Starbound using a new save. I unfortunately lost my old mod folder so I just downloaded everything.

 

Seems like I screwed up somewhere because the game kept booting me out of the planet and back to the ship. Maybe something to do with the TTPP mods, I ended up deleting them all. So far I have Sexbound, Aphrodite's bow, Teratophilia and defeat. After about an hour of gameplay I noticed that sexbound defeat has not worked AT ALL. Which is my way of knowing if teratophilia is working (I am assuming Aphro's bow is also working but I will wait until I get it).

 

Any idea if the new update deprecated sexbound defeat?

Update: So defeat is working but not for monsters. Also it seems like some of the animations are kinda botched in my game. Extra nipples, missing what I assume to be dildos? in some animations. Perhaps something I have that is messing with the animations? Here's the log if it helps.

Your log doesn't show anything about being booted out of a planet and back to your ship.

As for monsters and defeat - yes, you do not have Terato Defeat installed (an extra patch for Defeat to work on monsters) so monsters would naturally not work with it. Also, defeat is pandoras box so don't expect it to work fully regardless.

As for updating - I didn't update anything. I just uploaded a new optional file (The Lustia Arcade Patch, which was formerly the Lustbound Omnibrowser Addon) and the description alongside with it. SBR itself has not changed.

You have Pygophilia installed. It makes several hefty ovrrides and breaks some vanilla SBR content in order to add its own. Known problem.

I am getting too many errors so I decided to make a new world but I am having issues in that one also.

 

I made a new world and now defeat doesn't work again at all this time and even sexbound itself is not really working. I am trying to do aphrodite's quest and the thing you lay to start the quest cannot be interacted with or any other sexbound furniture at all. This is the weirdest bug yet.

You broke the main sexbound.config file. You can use a Json Validator online to check for errors.

Everytime I try to start a scene the action wheel dissapears and my character and the npc go invisible (one npc has also been seemingly deleted from the game)

Found the culprit: 

• [01:12:36.725] [Info] Loading assets from: '..\mods\Lustbound_Base_TentacleTweak.pak'

So, that mod was never properly operational, Lustbound is already included in Reborn, so adding it over Reborn replaces the working code with unworking code.

Not much else i see in the logs, just a few characters lost to time (Their mods were removed so the characters fail to load) and a few commonplace errors.

Hi folks!  Tl:dr, I made a patch to modify some of the status icons from this mod, making a bit more use of the thermometer from the heat effect, to keep things a little cleaner if you aren't actively engaging with this mod.  Wondering if there're any rules about uploading something like this, and who I should credit for the sprites I modified, if necessary.

So, I run this mod along with a lot of other modded race compatibilities and such.  However, I also like to play the game casually, and I don't want to relocate all of those relevant mods in order to do so, so I just leave SxB Reborn and its various attachments running while I play as though they aren't there at all.  For the most part, this is perfectly fine - very rarely do I encounter anything sexual unintentionally that I can't have off the screen very quickly, but there is an exception:  the status icons for Horny, Pent Up, etc.  If you play for a while without dying, there's probably a penis or something at the top of your screen, regardless of whether you're doing anything related to the mod while playing, and I've occasionally had to be careful about keeping my inventory window on top of my statuses to prevent anyone who happened to get a glance at the screen from having a reason to go "hey.  What is that."

So, today, I had the thought: "I wonder how hard it would be to make a simple mod to replace those assets with something more subtle?"  It turns out it's very easy; I did it in like 20 minutes.  I made the heat effects just show the thermometer part of their icons, changed arousal icons to show a blue version of those, and made effects related to fertility show a classic green-spotted white egg with a relevant number of plus signs.

For me, this has solved that problem quite nicely, and I was thinking that there are probably other people using these mods - not many, but a few - that would like to have something similar available.  But, I've made use of some of the existing assets in my alterations, and I've made said alterations without asking around first.  So, I'm here to ask if I need to credit anyone specifically, and I suppose more broadly if I need permission to upload a patch to an existing mod like this one?  Would it be preferred if I made completely original assets?
