mysterioso123 Posted Wednesday at 02:46 AM Posted Wednesday at 02:46 AM Hey, longtime lurking, first time posting, because, I decided the other night to try getting into saucy Starbound mods, being a general fan of immersive elements in my smut. For the most part, things are working quite well, but I'm having some issues with the Direct18 TV item. I'm attaching a pic of the error message that occurs when I try to place the item down (which is followed by a CTD), but it's my understanding that the author of SBR isn't the author of this particular element, which was inherited from Lustbound, so I'm mainly hoping to compare notes with other users to see what may be causing the issue. I'll summarize the conditions under which the mod is being used, for further context: Game Version: Steam release, played via Steam launcher (no overlay) Installed Mods: -Sexbound Reborn (obviously) -Aphrodite's Bow Patch (from SBR page) -Lustia Arcade Patch (also from SBR page) -POV Redux 4.2 (as suggested by SBR) -EB's Lovely Whips (claims Sexbound compatibility, have tested it and it seems mostly functional for my main goal of making any NPC sexable on the spot) -Complete Poses (also fully functional) -Lustbound Omnibrowser Unclogger (as a mod that directly interacts with Omnibrowser, I tried removing it as one of my first fix attempts, but no dice, and it otherwise works perfectly) -A.V.I.A.N. 18+ (also works fine) -GROTU (seems compatible enough and doesn't do anything to the code, anyway) -Gardevan custom race (the only non-smutty mod applied, not yet tested) -Gardevan Sexbound Support (also not tested, may end up incompatible with SBR, but I'm crossing my fingers; I did test removing it, and it did not solve the issue) Other Attempted Fixes: -Restarting computer -Running in admin mode -Applying the original Omnibrowser mod (I thought there might have been some lingering dependency, but interestingly, it caused the fatal error to occur on launching the game, which suggests the issue may be with some element of the core Omnibrowser code that SBR only invokes when the Direct18 is placed) Anyway, any insight people could provide would be greatly appreciated. This isn't a gamebreaking issue, obviously, but I'd love to get it working. Thanks in advance!

Would be nice to see a log too, but among the information provided, nothing immediatelly jumps at me as outdated or incompatible, which is why i'd like to see the logs if possible.

Installing the "Aphrodite's Bow SBR Patch" without actually installing the Aphrodite's Bow mod (seperate thing) doesn't do anything. Installing "Lustbound Omnibrowser Unclogger" on top of the official Lustia Arcade Patch also does nothing. That said, first time I'm coming across an error that severe, and access violation crashes are usually the biggest pain in the ass to figure out. I know Lustia itself crashes for some people, probably on lower-end PCs because it "too beefy" with a dozen NPCs and Sexnodes all initing simultaneosly. The TV loads comparatively chonky GIFs so maybe that's it? Otherwise you can send over your full log file, maybe that tells more, but otherwise I am afraid I can't be of much help.

So, I can be a bit absentminded, and I didn't think to check the logs until you folks brought it up. So I did, and it turns out that omnibrowser.lua was missing, so the crash was just a case of a simple missing file. Now, from experience, I knew that the base Omnibrowser mod causes a crash on startup, which I assume now must come from a conflict with SBR. However, just grabbing the Omnibrowser source code and yanking out omnibrowser.lua and sticking that in the mods folder on its own fixes the issue completely. So, yeah, you just gotta put omnibrowser.lua back in the scripts folder for the Direct18 TV to continue functioning. Also thanks for the heads-up about the bow, I was honestly unsure because there was a lot of emphasis placed on how everything Lustbound-related was now in SBR core, and I was erring on the side of caution. As for the unclogger, does SBR base now do "single cards come in their own little pack so they can stack"? That was the main reason I grabbed that mod, so I wouldn't need to fiddle with my binder every few minutes. It's hard to tell which QoL mods have been rendered obsolete over time. 1

Aphrodite's Bow is yet another mod in the mix, originally made by Locuturus too. It's not part of Lustbound BUT Lustbound has an Aphrodite's Bow ADDON aswell, which adds more stuff on top. And yes, the Lustia Arcade Patch for SBR is the "unclogged" version of the Lustbound Omnibrowser Addon - I made the unclogging because it's stupid, why would I not put that in? xD As for the Direct18 TV... Guess I never checked that when making the patch. Guess it still tries to use OG omnibrowser instead of the local copy that is IN the addon.
