Dammed! My game is crashed :(

How to fix it ?

Seeing as you haven't given me any details, it's going to be kind of difficult for me to help you. When did it crash? What were you doing at the time? Do you have Hentai Pregnancy installed?

Looks like yes.

I downloading and installed these mods:

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/6985-loli-armor-pack-v10-june-17-2012/

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/20706-children-of-the-sky-reworked-stand-alone/

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/17062-zaz-animation-pack-2013-10-08/

I think a load order is needed, so we can look but it should really go into the tech forum.

I'm going to be unavailable for the next several days (Thanksgiving, yay!), and since you still haven't given me any details I'm going to assume that this crashing is not related to my mod. You should probably head over to the Sexlab Technical Support forum.

skynet424,

Look here. This is all files what i have:

Dont want to break your russian heart, but that isn't a load order... thats a file contence... may i recomend dowloading BOSS. If you prblem is load order it will work out a lot of issues. But 1/10 of the time it will create one. If you have issues after using BOSS, you need to see if a mod is being loaded in game before a mod that it uses reacourses from.

Current Features

  • At the end of the pregnancy the mother will "give birth" to a child. This child is based off the basic children of Skyrim but is only Protected, not Invulnerable. I may or may not change this later.
  • The child will inherit their looks from both parents. The script chooses which parent "donates" a particular feature (eyes, nose, hair color, and mouth) and applies those features to the child. In theory this produces children that resemble their parents, though it needs more tweaking.
  • The child will inherit the race of one of their parents. All vanilla races are supported. Custom race children will default to Nord.

1) any idea when will this be updated?

2) is there any sort of follower thing or do kids just sort of stand around minding their own business

1) any idea when will this be updated?

Whenever I stop having to devote all my free time to 1) working, or 2) looking for a better job. Higher pay means less stress which means clear mind which means more updates.

Non-Vanilla child races seem to still be invulnerable. a quick work around for me was to change the race. It would be cool to have a patch or something for mods like this (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/37478/?)

Edit: I checked the esp with creation kit the non vanilla children are not marked invulnerable, but in game they are? idk what to do.

I've kept an eye on Kids of Skyrim, but if I do any patches for kid-related mods it'll probably be the CotS rework someone linked to a page or so ago.

Incidently, I thought I made all kids invulnerable. Hm. This wasn't intended to be a child-killing mod. Weird.

some of the hostile children in kids of skyrim are invulnerable because of this mod but it also gives the hostile children the same AI package as the offspring in Childbirth so they don't try and kill you. I didn't know about CotS for non-vanilla child races and if you do make a patch for CotS i would definitely use it; but take your time life comes before fantasy, the modding community can wait for an update.

Hmmm. And you're sure my mod is the source of the problem? I can see where there might be some conflicts if Kids of Skyrim names their child races the same as mine, but on the other hand my non-vanilla child races are apparently not marked invulnerable anyway (it's been crazy today and I haven't had a chance to double-check for myself) so I'm not sure why they'd be invulnerable with Kids of Skyrim installed. I'll look into it tomorrow.

Moreover, I haven't really messed with AI packages at all, so far as I can remember. I'll check that tomorrow as well. I think I still have the KoS esp hanging around, so I'll take another look at that too. If it's something I can fix, I'll do my best to fix it. I aim for maximum compatibility!

I still need to test my vampire fix too, so it looks like tomorrow and/or whenever I clear my schedule will be a busy day.

Has Skyrim had any major discounts during the sale yet? I'll try to get Hearthfire on the cheap if I can.

Thanks for your help, i Fixed the problem. This mod needed to be placed before Kids of Skyrim in the load order because the invulnerability has to do with the child races. kids of skyrim removes the "child" flag from the child races so they are not hard coded invulnerable and they can act like adults which explains why  when i was having the conflict the hostile child, he just ran away and use the default sleep package when i left the cell and returned. I just checked today on steam and all of the DLC's are 33% off Heathfire costs about 3.34 USD but hurry the offer ends on 12/3/2013 at about 1:00pm.

Alright, thanks for the info. I'll add a "Compatibility" section to the mod page with that.

Also picked up Hearthfire today, finally. Will be working on that when I can get to it.

Hm, not sure what could be taken from Heartfire, still, they are some ressource in there.

In any case, will be interesting to see what you do find there.

Great plugin. It seems these days people just give up on most works. I can understand why, life is tough these days. I use your plugin everytime I play and I'm hoping to see the custom races children you mentioned. It is strange though... I don't know if you had added it in, but when I was using the Lunari race which I always use, it didn't use the nord default, but was making children based on the npc. After I made a fresh start it went back to the default.

Hearthfire means I can make the children adoptable, so that they'll actually do something instead of standing around doing nothing.

Do you mean that the children were of the Lunari race, or did they just look like the Lunari parent? The coding handles race and facial features/hair color separately, so it'd still be possible to get a child that looks Lunari even if their race is Nord/Imperial/whatever.

Getting back to Hearthfire for a second, I have a bit of a dilemma. My initial plan was to develop both Hearthfire and non-Hearthfire versions of the mod, but this is looking like it will be a bit more complicated than I had hoped. So I'm wondering if I should just go ahead with the Hearthfire version of the mod and see if I can work something out for non-Hearthfire later. Thoughts, everyone?

ok, i have a request.

I know that this sound silly and unrealistic, but in the end the whole Hentai Pregnancy mod is not that lore-friendly, so i'm asking anyway.

Since HP let you get pregnant by creatures, would it be possible that you give birth to a creature and it become your follower/pet.

Ex: a werewolf impregnates you, when you give birth a little, weak werewolf is now your follower.

Creatures born this way are not invicible nor protected, so someone can kill them easily if you don't watch out.

Since creatures don't have feature i think it would be kinda easy to create

It's not because of anything, it just gives a more "usefull" use of being pregnant of creatures, with something like that you'll have a small pack of beasts in return.

(obviously this kind of things would be optional)

Hey I found this mod earlier and I haven't gotten it to work with this mod, but then i thought it might help u out later on so here it is http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23030/?

It's supposed to make any child capable of being a follower without taking up the space of your regular followers

Regarding animal babies, I've been asked about that already, and I'm still on the fence about it. The biggest issue is that I'd have to add a new line of code for each "race" that I wanted to have babies. That is a lot of extra code, even if it'd be mainly copy/paste over and over again.

Regarding follower kids in general, that was one of the two options I was looking at for making kids do something, Hearthfire being the other. I'll take a look at that mod when I get the chance, and as long as implementing follower kids doesn't conflict with Hearthfire support I will work on it. At some point. Right now I'm still trying to figure out the intricacies of MCM coding -- it turned out to be harder than I thought.

I am hoping you will eventually implement animal babies. I'd even be OK with leaving them being followers to a different plugin.  I do OK with how Sexout Pregnancy handles them.

Well, i'm no modder, so i trust you if you say that it's something that can take some time, but look at it this way:

Animal babies is something that once you do it, it's done. Human babies will always requires updates, new feature and new stuff to do, with animal babies it's needed only that you can make them your pets.

It may seems something long to do, but once it's completed (and bug-tested) you can forget about them, and meanwhile you can add something that no other mod does.

It would be a great feature in a child-birth mod and i'm sure many people here will like it.

But of course your free time is yours, feel free to do it when you wish.

Progress report!

After much swearing and tears, I seem to have hammered out a Mod Configuration Menu. I still need to test it to see if the custom race support option actually works, but right now it's a functional menu with a list of races an' everything!

It seems that Hearthfire support will require a bit more swearing and tears. I have the children registered as adoptable, but there are no dialogue options to adopt them (presumably because I have to make them, d'oh) and I'm hesitant to have them come out of the womb already adopted. That seems likely to cause problems. So once I figure out the dialogue system I'll hopefully be able to get the Hearthfire support up and running.

I'd love to see animal babies too!   Perhaps you could start with just one creature type on the first go, like a werewolf or regular wolf.  I'm guessing making the child basically a short werewolf would be a relatively simpler thing to do than some sort of human-werewolf hybrid.
