I'm playing with LoTD (my mod list info is here), I would probably not bother with it on a next playthrough, this is the first playthrough I've used it and it has some things I like but it feels quite old and is a pain to patch everywhere, I've spent some time in xedit making it play nice with several other things, I don't remember what I've changed now to make it work ok.

That the next update to your guide will take considerably longer than expected? That you're shutting it down here, making a mod out of it and selling it as a Creation on the new storefront? That reindeers do not actually have red noses and rarely answer to the name "Rudolph"?

 The new update is one of the biggest in a long time. I am still digesting the new ESL limit upgrade- I m still on 1.5.97. Sooo expect a lot of changes in Mods going forward.

Well this has thrown a hilarious spanner into the works! 

The first time I played through Skyrim there was no DLC, the second time I did Dragonborn after the main but illness stopped me playing for a few months and when I had time to play again Fallout 4 took my attention, now I'm back and playing again and I've just finished Dragonborn, ready to play Dawnguard and finally meet Serena and have a go at some vampires and boom, Bethesda broke my installation, lots of warnings when I try to load and ignoring them means it just won't load, how long until all the mods updated? Who knows, but I'm starting starfield in January! ?

First, let me apologise for my prior post. Now that I am fully awake with a can of coffee in my belly I realise that it may have been worded a little confrontational. I am sorry, @Aylis.

 

Second, in regards to the video, it can basically be boiled down to a few important points.

 

1. We know there is another update (hotfix for the bugs introduced with this update) coming. Presumably in the next few months.

2. Due to the changes made to the plugin headers, newly made or edited plugins may not be compatible anymore with older (unupdated or downpatched) versions of the game and may cause immediate CTDs. (Depends on the situation if I go by the xEdit team.)

3. Most of the bug fixes in this update had long been fixed by the Unofficial SSE Patch or other mods. (So, basically, they just copied those fixes to not have an update solely about their new shop. Positive public perception and all that.)

4. The new store front and its attached creator program sound way more solid than their previous attempt at monetising mods. On paper at least.

5. Sony is still playing a stuck up bitch.

6. Dumping free and paid mods together into a single user interface is not the most user friendly thing to do.

7. Bethedsda secretly planning to axe free mod support... well, for the time being, I do not believe it. But on the other side, we must all realise that it is Microsoft now who makes the final call. And we all can bet our cute asses that the very moment some human calculator deduces that removing free mod support would actually be beneficial to the bottom line, they will axe it.

8. Positive thing last: adding new creations to the shop does not require a game update anymore. Yay. ?

Has anyone found a fix for the bug where morphs stop updating until you change armor / weight or do something else that makes the body update, besides disabling part of SSE engine fixes? Ive been trying to look up info about it, but I keep finding conflicting information about it. I know someone in this thread was asking about it earlier, and I was hoping someone found a solution, as the changes to SSE engine fixes makes it so I can't load at all unless I disable a bunch of texture upgrades.

 

Also does anyone here know skyrim's scripting language? Changing the weight makes it update, and it seems like you should be able to make a script that bumps your characters weight down one point then back up every 30 seconds or something. It wouldn't fix whatever is causing the bug, but it would be a bandaid until it does get fixed, I just don't know enough about skyrim's scripting language to do it myself.

Crazy week, huh? Like most, I will just hold at v 640 till the smoke clears.

 

Anyway, what are the opinions here re: Moonlight Tales Mini? It's made by the same MA as Moonlight Tales Special Edition - Werewolf and Werebear Overhaul. Mini claims to be more streamlined and compatible. It's also almost 7 years newer. What is the thinking on keeping the older version in the guide?

 

I do not intend to focus on werebeasts, but some of you do. Thoughts on which one to pick?

yeah, I wish I knew how to downgrade lol, but oh well lol, guess I'll be patient and wait for things to update and catch up patch wise, though good news after taking the time the update has given me I decided against putting LoTD in my mod-list/game for this run (think I'll wait till odyssey, to give it a shot) but in all of your honest opinions, what quest/world expansion stuff would all of you recommend? Pretty much looking for a fun but epic run through the game, but honestly this is kind of my first run around with Skyrim SE/AE, played LE a ton though. Any who, hopefully everything is going okay for all, and keep being awesome everyone! :D

For those of you who did upgrade, so far I think there are only four mods from the list that still need to be updated:

* Fuz Ro D'oh

* Faster HDT

* SMP Wind (can probably do without temporarily)

* Improved Camera (ditto)

nice cpu! Make sure your bios is fully updated with that one also it might have av 512 so double check cpu specs to be sure. I think there were issues with bios when first introduced that required the update.

Yep! You can also manually update the ImprovedCameraSE.ini file and set FileVersionMax to 1.6.1130.0 and that fixes that one.

So now just Fuz Ro D'oh and SMP Wind.

Fuz Ro D'oh updated today. Gonna try without SMP Wind.

 

Edit: No dice.

Minor issue - The Sexlab P+ mod isn't working. I think that's not a show-stopper. Game will load to the main menu, then a warning message about it will prevent from loading a save.

Big issue - TrueHUD still needs to update. I went through section after section and finally identified this is the one causing CTDs on the menu screen. Nexus post shows people having the same issue. It's funny, I don't remember this being a show-stopper before the last time Todd decided to fuck us all.

 

Back to waiting. Take solace in the fact that although you can't play your favorite game, you can now buy mods you don't want.

In case anyone else is still getting crashes despite following all the fixes for SSE Engine Tweaks...

It was Compass Navigation Overhaul causing my game to CTD

General texture question for the current mod list.  I'm not upgrading till I absolutely have to.  Been working on this list forever and finally can make  it past level 20.

 

Issue:  Mostly in the Reach but other places as well I come upon floating trees or missing rock formations.  I can run up an invisible rock formation so no crashes just no visible textures.  Occurred after I updated Atlantean, ERM, and Skyland AIO.  (I kniow - don't update unless you need to.  Can't stop myself)  Missing textures may have been there before but can't say as I haven't been all over the map when testing.  

 

Tried, re-ordering mods - nothing - reloading mods - nothing, deleted ERM - worked mostly.  Still some areas with no textures but when I spot them, I reload the game or use LOD Unloading Bug Fix mod and the textures appear.  

 

Question:  Why would reloading the game allow the textures to appear. (or meshes - terminology may be wrong).  I don't know why so I can't address it.  Memory issues, graphics something, etc.  Just looking for ideas to look at on my end.  Thanks for your thoughts.  T

It's been a couple of months since I messed with my Skyrim, but I recall the more recent updates to Atlantean were not compatible with ERM.  Personally, I opted to just stick with the textures/meshes provided by Atlantean, to keep all the parallax bits happy and consistent.  But that might be at least PART of the problem for your invisible landscape issues. 

 

There may be patches or fixes for that incompatibility, I just don't know... but I do recall the Atlantean MO responding in the mods comment area that they were incompatible as of a specific version... YMMV

Thank you.  Aylis mod list was my guide when moving to MO2 from Vortex.  Scary to me at first but so worth it.  Bumps are expected as I have almost 1900 mods loaded now and that is the only issue.  I can deal with the occasional floating tree.  Main thing is I get to play as a blonde in my game with my sexy time mods (I have raven black hair) so all if fine with the world.  Thanks again.  Tina

EDIT: Found the problem, ENB Input Disabler is not working with 1.6.1130.

 

So I stumbled on weird.. bug? I haven't installed all the list yet, up to Physics and Animations, but I don't thinks this is normal so I guess something is wrong. I have installed everything to the point I mentioned before except for the mods that do not work with 1.6.1130, which so far are: Compass Navigation Overhaul, TrueHUD, Improved Camera.

 

So the thing is that after the Vanilla Start ends, when you have to run after the dragon attack, I can't move, actually there's no Player Character, is invisible, just a floating camera.

But in RaceMenu the character looks fine, to make sure it wasn't a bug with the vanilla start, installed Alternative Start to check, but is the same. I did run Bodyslide and Nemesis just in case, but nothing.

 

I don't know if I should move forward with the list hoping it fix itself, or to check when this start to happen.

 

So anyway, if someone has any idea of what could this be, please tell me.
