I'm so sorry Aylis, I rly hope you can recover and adjust smoothly ❤️

Feels a bit weird asking this here now, but ig it's what this thread is for:
I've only installed the first 6 categories (SKSE to Textures - Landscape), and my game is already running pretty poorly. Should I just cut my losses here before i get too much deeper?
I have an RTX 3060, i7 11700K, 32GB of RAM, and my game is installed on an ssd. I'm using all 2K versions of textures, no 4K.

Are you playing at 1080 or 1440 resolution? A 3060 should be decent enough if you don't use high resolution textures, but you would most likely be around 30FPS. You could try skipping ahead to the lighting and shader sections install those and see how your frame rates are then. After which you can make the decision if it is unplayable for you or not.

apparently the resolution defaulted back to 4k at some point, so changing that to 1080 improved the fps a bit, but still not great. I'll probably follow your advice with the lighting mods and decide then...

on that note, would you happen to know of another modding guide similar to this that's a bit smaller? if not that's alright, I can always figure it out myself of course.

I don't have experience with other mod lists sorry, maybe someone else around here does.

The patch for Redbag's Falkreath + Gods and worship fix's the issue, but then Northern Road's breaks it again. There are patches for G&W + Northern Roads, and Redbag's + Northern Roads but nothing that combines all three fixes so all three can work together, at least not that I can see. So the options are to get rid of Redbag's Falkreath, Northern Roads, Or Gods and Worship. I did the latter.

 

Thanks for looking into the problem and posting here. I'm about to start rebuilding my entire mod list on my new laptop, and appreciate the timely information. Frankly, I'm not enamored of either Redbag's Falkreath or Northern Roads, so maybe I'll dump them and keep Gods and Worship.

I'm rebuilding my LO from scratch. I downloaded the new PGPatcher and discovered (as was noted here a few months ago) that it now wants to be installed as an MO2 mod. Does it matter where in the load order I place it? 

 

Also, I noticed some posts about problems with it, but didn't understand whether they got resolved or not. Can I just reconfigure the executable in MO2 to make it point to the mod folder? Thanks.

I just installed it at the start. It works fine, if you follow the instructions and set the paths right.

SkyPatcher 6.3.1 (the latest) gets an SKSE error loading the dll:

The first time I tried I saw a Windows Defender (Windows 11) error stating some problem (which flashed by too fast for me to remember) and since then I just see this SKSE error. 

 

If I fall back to SkyPatcher 6.3.0 it works fine. I've posted on the mod page on Nexus about it, am waiting for a response.

Is it worth installing them and trying to play alongside all the other mods from the OP?

I am on 6.3.1 and also Windows 11 I don't get that error. Have you tried re-downloading the mod? It sounds like the Skypatcher dll might be corrupted.

Thanks very much for the suggestion. I did re-download and re-install, and now no longer get the error.

Also, under the Armor - Light section, Pelts 'o' Plenty - Fluffy Fur Pelt Cloaks has been hidden by the author, who says to use Pelts 'o' Plenty - Fur Pelt Cloaks, just above it in the list.

In the Equipment Overhaul section, these mods have been removed from Nexus by the author:

 

Hrongar Thane of Whiterun Viking Armor SPID

Uthgerd the Unbroken Viking Armor SPID

Ysolda Aspiring Merchant Viking Armor SPID

First of all, I wanted to say that I'm truly sorry for your health, Aylis. Don't give up. I wanted to ask you and everyone else what settings to use for community shaders and MARTY'S MODS EPIC RESHADE EFFECTS (iMMERSE), as I've never used them. Thank you all.

Hearing this makes me very sad, Aylis. I hope you stay strong and wish you good luck.

After I finish DynDOLOD, do I need to uncheck all the following mods in MO2: "DynDOLOD Resources, HD LODs Textures, HD LODs Textures SE Mesh Fix, DynDOLOD TexGen Fixes, DynDOLOD DLL NG, LOD Model Library for DynDOLOD, DynDOLOD Mesh Fixes, R's Windmill - DynDOLOD patch, YAR - Yuril's Additional Resources, Better Big Boat LOD, Better Big Boat LOD - Longboat Addon"? However, if I uncheck them, I can't see the DynDOLOD MCM in the game, but I can see it if I don't uncheck them.

Also, is it no longer necessary to run xLODGenx64?

I'm not sure about it, but the old guide (the thread Skyrim SE for Beginners) says it's no longer needed.

So the update above on the armor I can get, basically, the faction armor is basically combining several mods into one.   For the 3 SPIDs above, do we know if it's because it's not needed, or due to problems?

 

Just wondering for this thread.  I still have them.  Should I continue to use them, or are the 3 replaced by something else.?

 

Thanks for the note btw, it's good to know.. just not sure what the alternative is now....

I still have them, and with the new build I just completed I'm continuing to use them. New users of the guide won't be able to find them unless the author replaces them on Nexus. Hopefully the guide can be updated in future.

Modern Wait Menu and Time Format Changer seem to conflict, my game freezes whenever I try to rest and I had a guess it would be something to do with the way that time is represented. In the posts in Time Format Changer someone else mentioned this, and sure enough when I disable Modern Wait Menu my game runs fine. Has anyone else had this issue? It doesn't bother me as I don't need MWM but just an FYI

I'm running with both of them with no problem. I haven't changed any of the defaults, in case that's a difference from your setup.
