misterpipes Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 @Aylis found a bug with Adventurer Armor. The "Backpack Clean Strapless" worn model is not the clean version. Fixed with another Xtudo patch. Downloaded "Adventurer Armor - My Version SE by Xtudo - 2K" from Xtudo's patches for Adventurer Armor and place between "Adventurer Armor" and "Adventurer Armor Retextures". Should be mostly nif files that survive conflicts.

I seem to be having a problem with the physics going weird with draugr corpses stretching during their death animation. If I go and pick them up and kind of swing them around their limbs and stuff slowly go back to normal. I haven't run into the models stretching or looking weird during death for anything else. I tried disabling the draugr mods suggested in the modlist and it still happens. I re-ran pandora too. I'm not sure any of those things would help though, I'm kind of grasping at straws. Edit: It seems to only happen in Bleak Falls Barrow. If I spawn a draugr outside the physics work fine, it only goes wonky inside Bleak Falls. The big frost spider in there also dies immediately from fall damage when coming down. Edit 2: Solution for the draugr is there's something bugged with Pandora 2.3. Replace the draugr files generated by Pandora 2.3 with ones generated by Pandora 2.1.5 and everything seems to work. PubliusNV Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 For what it's worth, I now have a very playable and enjoyable AE game. Thanks again to @Aylis for the hard work putting together this guide. The sex animation problems I posted about earlier are mostly gone. I think they were from Automated SLSB Conversions building a list of animations that I did not have. Using it's "For Weebs" install option is not the way to go, nor is using the General Use option and simply clicking on the packages you have installed. What worked best for me was using the General option and the using Pick and Choose on every animation pack. I had tried to get Alternate Start to work instead of Skyrim Unbound, but was getting consistent CTDs every time I tried to enter Helgen Keep or the Cave at Helgen. I eventually gave up, took Alternate Start out of mod list and added Skyrim Unbound as the guide suggests. I must say I still prefer Alternate Start's way of getting into the main quest for those playing as Dragonborn, but if the mod CTDs it's obviously not playable. Anyway, I'm now at level 12 and through Bleak Falls Barrow, with only two noticeable minor problems. (1) Dead draugrs have very contorted bodies (2) A very few of the NPCs (Sigurd and Nazeem in Whiterun, for example) appear to have badly shaved heads. Looks like someone dragged a razor across their skull leaving stripes of bare skin and stripes of hair. Thank you again for the guide, even though I tried to customize it to my tastes it made the whole experience of installing over 1000 mods much quicker and less frustrating. 1
PubliusNV Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 Ah, I see the post just before mine mentioned the draugr problem also. My distorted draugrs were also in Bleak Falls Barrow.
PRSTUV Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 Is it possible to use "Namira for good guys" and "Boethia for good guys" with the AE?

Might want to check for conflicts with other mods, but if nothing conflicts, should be fine. 56 minutes ago, PRSTUV said: "Boethia for good guys" Yes. I've used this in an earlier version of this list wiht no problem. IIRC it only changes one vanilla script, so unlikely to clash with anything.

Where can I get the draugr files from pandora 2.1.5? 5 hours ago, PubliusNV said: (1) Dead draugrs have very contorted bodies I am unsure if that's a pandora 2.3.0-specific issue (or a pandora issue at all), but if it is, switching (back) to 2.1.5 is relatively simple, disable or remove the 2.3.0 pandora mod in MO2 along with pandora's output, go to https://github.com/Monitor221hz/Pandora-Behaviour-Engine-Plus/releases and then scroll down past the entire 2.3.0-beta box, the one right below that is the 2.1.5-alpha box, in that second box, find the Assets line, click it to make the downloadable assets visible, and download pandora 2.1.5, install it same as you did 2.3.0, run it from MO2 as well, make a mod out of the output, and you'll have pandora 2.1.5 output. If you're trying to mix and match pandora 2.3.0 and pandora 2.1.5 output so you get only one or the other, i wouldn't know how to do that as for my animations issue I went with the entire 2.1.5 output rather than attempt to keep only parts of both. Wouldn't recommend it anyways as if you get an issue with your new hand-merged pandora output, no one can help you and if you have to report a bug to pandora it just isn't gonna work cause you did something odd that isn't necessarily reproducible. 5 hours ago, PubliusNV said: (2) A very few of the NPCs (Sigurd and Nazeem in Whiterun, for example) appear to have badly shaved heads. Looks like someone dragged a razor across their skull leaving stripes of bare skin and stripes of hair. I think the baldness issue is a thing I've had for a while, it doesn't bother me much on random NPCs but occasionally it'll affect my follower(s) and that bothers me a lot, usually it's fixed by asking to trade stuff through the follower interface and taking away from the the face covers and fur hoods. I have no idea why, but sometimes when both are equipped on an NPC, they both turn invisible and the NPC looks bald instead. I personally don't wear them so I wouldn't know if it affects the player character too, but I'd assume it could too considering the NPC and PC graphics are generally not that different. I believe they're forcefully added to the inventory of every NPC for unknown reasons when it rains or when it's cold? it's an incredibly annoying bug when it's supposed to be an immersive thing. Besides, another issue with them I've noticed is that some NPCs, once they put them on, will not take them off ever again, even if they're inside or the weather is sunny and hot and stuff. I don't know what's up with it nor which mod is doing this but it is an issue, I guess. Not a major one but it's one of those "slightly annoying" ones. (You could probably fix it on a case by case basis by opening the console and clicking on the affected NPC, then using `showinventory` then looking through the list, see which items id's are "face cover", then typing `removeitem id 1` for each of them you see, don't click elsewhere cause you're essentially trying to see the inventory of the NPC and remove the face cover items from it, as when they unequip either them or the fur hood, the issue goes away, so you want to keep the NPC selected.) PubliusNV Posted September 24, 2024 Posted September 24, 2024 Now that I'm going through Ironbind Barrow I can say that, at least for me, the contorted draugr are not limited to Bleak Falls Barrow. When I get a chance I'll try Pandora 2.1.5.
PubliusNV Posted September 24, 2024 Posted September 24, 2024 Pandora 2.1.5 does indeed fix the contorted draugr problem. Given that it looks like there are some significant fixes in 2.3.0, would you recommend going back to 2.3.0 or staying on 2.1.5?

It sounds like a physics issue and i'd recheck those mods first. Another thing could be a broken download for them. Btw. i'm using Pandora 2.30 (just rechecked). For the hair you have to recheck the mods too. 11 hours ago, PRSTUV said: Is it possible to use "Namira for good guys" and "Boethia for good guys" with the AE? PRSTUV Posted September 24, 2024 Posted September 24, 2024 I installed AE because my SE crushed (as I thought, actually it was the lift problem in Blackreach). My first experience with AE modding was bad (wrong version, it was Gog, skse64 and SKYUI didn't work at all there). But the latest AE works well. I have noticed that the best is to play High Elf (another dialogues, kinda funny). And I can use my old saves from SE (the ones with the lift problems).

I have a bit of a different answer to some of the questions, so I'll answer too: 1. I personally moved the DynDOLOD resources to the top of Meshes and then left the rest as is for now, it works, not perfectly, there's a few bugs here and there, but I figured until Aylis works out the kinks if you want to play now, you can probably suffer a little DynDOLOD-related bugs. 2. Just tick them back on, they shouldn't be off, unless you're intending not to play that mod, which considering it's one of the few Sexlab mods we officially have on the list, you might want to keep it. Kinda wish we had more but... SexLab quest mods are notoriously badly designed in some ways (not to throw shit at the mod authors and their hard work which I appreciate, but let's just say, their tendency to place buildings right on the opposite side of the road from the Whiterun stables, or similar ideas of just adding stuff but straight where everyone else adds stuff, it just kind of makes it hard to use them, and considering they're SexLab mods from LoversLab rather than NexusMods, the already little goodwill mod authors have over there for patching stuff is basically so rare it might as well not happen for all intent and purposes. Presumably they assume the LL mod authors will provide patches, reality is they won't. Why? Possibly cause a sex mod is much much harder to maintain 20 versions of considering how usually heavily scripted these are, as opposed to a simple landscape change for the outside or cities. As a result, the best SL mods, as in the most fun to play, are probably gonna be conflicting with the whole mod setup in some way, and unless a good Samaritan pops in and makes a patch, or you do so yourself, we're kind of on our own here.) 3, 4, 5. See Aylis's answers. 6. Yes, I've noted that issue earlier, it is unfortunate because that link also included an SPID thing, which means the only mage set we had around that could be propagated to everyone no longer can be, and while we've been given 2 alternatives, one has no SPID, and the other has an SPID, but shouldn't be used because it's sort of also a tiny quest mod to acquire and upgrade the set. So unfortunately, mage NPCs are all gonna be wearing the most basic ass boring Skyrim robes. :c 7. I still have them, but let's wait for Aylis on that one, perhaps they aren't needed anymore or they might still be used by another set in secret, who knows. 8. See Aylis's answer. I hate to be repeating Aylis but that's about right, even my setup isn't very good for my PC, I've noticed ever since I turned on my GPU's software's FPS overlay, despite my monitor supporting up to 144 fps and my GPU being a relatively recent and high end card (6900XT), I am consistently below 60, except in the main menu, and usually around 50 or so, except when in especially intense moments and locations where it falls to between 25-35 for a few seconds. I believe I turned on everything that I could in ENB Light, and tbh, that may not be the source of my issues, I'm also aware that I went with a suboptimal texture and mesh setup, usually going for 4k or 2k for essentially everything, including coins and stuff. I am sort of regretting that, but going through each mod one by one and having to go back to the mod page and redownload then reinstall is not tempting me much. Point is, I'm not an example to follow here. Maybe someday I'll take the time to run down the list again and get appropriate resolutions for stuff, so that it's a bit less... ps3 skyrim performance on an heavily modded skyrim setup on pc. Essentially, the point is, your computer is different from mine, or Aylis, and what you consider acceptably laggy might not be the same as either of us, so you're better off trying on your own combinations and figuring out which things give you the best graphics to performance ratio (aka, looks good, doesn't murder your GPU/CPU too hard). 2

Simpossible_xx Posted September 25, 2024 Posted September 25, 2024 @Aylis @Kusoneko thank you for the clarification I believe I disabled the Sisterhood of Dibella manually because I don’t have SexLab.esm and ZAZAnimationPack.esm yet, and I wanted to avoid crashing the game while testing other things. Of course I want to play with them and with bunch of other SexLab mods, it would be a shame if they won't work 🤭 Now I reinstalled The Sisterhood and files are hidden as they should be, but I'm still curious about one thing - for some reason SexLab_DibellaCult.esp is at the very top of my .esp plugins, right after the bold ones. Do you have it ordered in the same way? Regarding ENB Light, I have a 4060 GPU with 10400 CPU, and I'm playing at the default 1080p while keeping my graphic mods to a minimum, usually around 1k-2k textures for minor details, 4k for bodies, outfits and weapons. I would just appreciate some guidance on the additional options, because honestly I don't know what to choose - not because my system can't handle it, but because I don't know what are those effects. P. S. @Kusoneko At my first attempt, I installed everything with the highest quality and managed to install about half of the modlist. However, I decided to start over and make a more careful selection of textures, which turned out to be much easier since I was already familiar with the mods. Even though it felt like a repetitive task, I found myself enjoying the process of installing and configuring the mods... I believe that's how the Skyrim modding works 😅

I believe that's how the Skyrim modding works 😅 Right, so for the Sisterhood, they should all be at the same place, I believe: Spoiler (I put the patches further down in the Patches section, but I don't think it matters that much.) For ENB light effects, I believe the installer has pictures on the left side to show the effects? Nonetheless, I'd guess from the name that it's applying light to each of the effects, and since they're spells or shouts and such, they tend to show up dynamically during combat which means recalculating the lighting the effects provide in real time, possibly during combat, which can be costly, as stated next to some of the effects. So it's kind of a "it looks better but it taxes the computer more, for some of them". I think you can probably install them all, test it, and if it's too laggy during a fight with lots of magic thrown around and a dragon or 2 breathing fire all over, then you can probably remove one or 2 of the costlier effects, and continue down the list like that until you find the look/performance balance you like the most. You're right about Skyrim modding, nonetheless, I find some parts of it incredibly monotonous and boring, I'm generally more interested in the part "the setup is complete, all I need to do now is add Sexlab mods as I want and fool around with them". 1 hour ago, Selky said: hello. Selky Posted September 25, 2024 Posted September 25, 2024 (edited) ok thanks a lot. I think i'm missing some mod to make creature anims to work. I just have sexlab and defeat, some animations (including creature, pandora read the animation for creature), and in sexlab i allow creature animation. I'll search a little more ^^ thanks for the help! Edit: I forgot to install creature framework for the esm and MNC. I'll try later on other creature but i dont know what i did wrong ^^ Edited September 26, 2024 by Selky

Rance-kun Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Just curious, but what average FPS do you people get on high resolutions? I have a GTX3080 with a powerful CPU+RAM and I ended up getting 35-45 FPS in the wilderness or large cities, and combat became unplayable. Granted I took some liberties with the install (herp derp) and installed all the highest texture packs (4K or 8k lol). 80%+ of the issues are probably my fault. Now I'm reinstalling and following the guide to the letter. Any heavy mods from the (Blue "Essential") list I can drop that have big perfomance impact while keeping good looks? I want it to look good and combat be fluid. But I must say that I'm impressed by the list, it worked great for most of the install (better than past attempt years ago), and the world feel is a perfect mix of Fantasy/Realism. Many thanks to the author(s).
wollboi Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 (edited) Trying to get back into this silly game, and I cannot get Pandora to work. I've followed the instructions, installed it as a mod, added it as an executable. Only the default Pandora Base and XPMSE show up, none of the other animation mods. Slowly losing my mind here. Things I've tried: * Reinstalled .NET 8 Runtime * Set AV exceptions for the executable and the folder * Tried 2.1.5 and 2.3.0 (latter is missing the FNIS.esp plugin) * Setting both the executable and MO2 to run as administrator * Log files don't have any errors. I'm not using any additional animation mods other than the ones in the guide (and my chosen porn animations). Been staring at this for hours with no luck. I've seen a ton of people having the same issue, but no real solutions. Edit - Got it. I have always added an executable via using the drop down menu above plugins. Didn't know it had to be added through the Data tab, right click, add as executable. After creating the executable that way it works fine. Edited September 27, 2024 by wollboi 1
