Whore house notes:

 

1) found pauses in whipping scenes - had to use "MOVETO PLAYER" to have them continue and finish correctly.  Consistent issue and use of MOVETO - I can work around, but just something to maybe add a distance check

 

2) long timer on whipping scenes - too much damage and health - had to use a feeding "bat file" I made to make sure Nora stayed alive - deathclaw wellington, water and refreshing beverage to keep Nora alive.  60 second timer will take about 50% health with added 100 health above out of vault value.  Maybe have whipping scenes last for the timer OR a set % of health.

 

3) whipping on cross - Nora falls to cowering position

It works fine, but when I used the hot fix in the middle of a run everything went south pretty quickly. Started a new run with it and it was back to normal.

There's a lot of things that require a "clean" run in order to work (or not work) correctly. It would be nice if the game would update all changes to a mod when the game loads. For some reason I bet the developers have a script for that.

Thanks for the great work.
Sometimes suddenly it is not clear where the collar disappears.
The game thinks it's on the neck.
In fact, it visually disappears and the same is not in the inventory.
You have to go back to the previous save and replay the mission.

@JB. Wanted to make sure you saw that I found the conflict, it was a keyword that was used in Nuka World Plus(loaded above CS and NR btw) that Complex Item Sorter took and overwrote the keywords from CS.  I would say anyone using Complex Item Sorter should check their conflicts to make sure the plugin you make doesn't cause the issue.

Ok, I figured it out, Complex Item sorter was adding a keyword to the tattered rags from Nuka World Plus which was breaking CS.  I fixed that conflict and now CS proceeds correctly so far.  I'll keep checking for other conflicts as I expect many and can hopefully help find more incompatibilities or bugs for you.

 

I'm going to actually yank Nuka World Plus, with Nuka Ride I'm not taking over and if I do it's to replace the Overboss and be a raider.  I'm not gonna hand the place over to the Minutemen, BOS, Institute or Railroad, that's for damn sure!!

 

P.S. I've kinda wondered if it's causing the minor occlusion issues I have in Nuka Ride after Maxon visits in the Vertibird anyway and I reported a fun bug when the Minutemen that get placed in the Safari are non-hostile to the Pack and come watch the dance you do there.

Tested it couple of more times, saw the dialog trigger as expected for two times in a row then doesn't trigger then trigger again. My suspicion is on some race condition because of the non-deterministic nature of the issue. Possibly related to switching 3rd/1st person modes, saw the prostrate pose bug out and didn't happen too couple of times.

 

Possibly related to this (minor) issue that I saw yesterday - before the hotfix (haven't tested after the hotfix), when talking to Lindstrom after whoring task in the Whore House (the one where he tells to go to owner for The Fighter task), I tried to ask Declan to go outside before Lindstrom finished speaking. Declan became bugged out and never acknowledged that there is a valid task.

 

Also, is it possible that somehow the "Bimbo Mode" wasn't turned off after the frisking scene? I noticed that the weird running animation that that appeared after Dwayne mentioned Bimbo Mode remained even after following Gristle out of the city. 

I ran "SetStage _CS_DC 32" to try and fix it, seems to have worked at least visually. Though, not sure whether it is supposed to happen by itself and when.

The hotfix is precisely because Declan does not recognize that "The Fighter" was started. Or rather, his dialogue is hidden by others that have higher priority. 

 

Now that you mention the camera perspective during the scene between Dwyane and Gristle, it is very likely that the perspective is the cause of the scene not starting or starting in a buggy way. It's best to do it in third person. I will force the camera before the scene starts.

Ah, thanks! That is very interesting, even though a bit illogical (at least to noob like me) - why would camera mess with the scripting engine? I assume it is the scripting engine that fires the quest stage changes once the quest script receives some event, no?

The only condition is that "Lucky Day" is not running so that the Raider Pet dialog doesn't trigger ("Well, well, what do we have here?"). Lucky Day stops when you finish the mod. I wonder if there is another type of interference here. 

 

FO4Edit has screwed up Declan's greetings order. I'll put a lot of conditions on him for version 1.0.6 and it shouldn't matter so much about the greeting order anymore. 


If you type SQV _CS_House I'll be able to see what stage you're on. There is another user in your same situation. It looks like the quest "The Fighter" is not starting. I am able to start it. 

 

I'm going to include a couple of notifications on that part anyway. 

 

316 (Work in the Whore House. Make at least 100 caps for Lindstrom)
318 (You finished your shift. Talk to Lindstrom). 
320 Start "The Fighter".

 

You can take a quick test at the beginning of the game, even before you meet Murphy. 

 

StartQuest _CS_Fight
SetSTage _CS_Fight 50

 

That should be enough for the quest to start. 


I'm going to set all the aliases of The Fighter as optional for 1.06. That will start the quests no matter if there is a conflict and it will also help me see which aliases are not being filled. 


@m.skynet , that stage is a scene between Gristle and Dwayne. When you enter the office, a scene between the two of you should start (as long as the three of you are there in the office). So far I have noticed that there is one mod that screws up this scene and that is Guns for Hire because it puts a character in the same office. That mod you tell me about should not interfere. 

 

@ShaeKestYou probably already solved it but you need F4Z Roh Doh -or whatever it's called- to make the dialogues have normal timing and be skippable. It's in the list of requirements. 


@Oldwolf58 I'm going to put vanilla cells and not Torture Devices for version 1.0.6. That will correct the problem.


@angryangel81, The best thing to do is to load a game outside the Vault, before you run into Murphy.

 

Type "StartQuest _CS_DC" and then "SetSTage _CS_DC 100". The quest "The Hooker" should start. If it doesn't start, one of your mods is interfering. Remember this is just to quickly test for interference. 

 

 

@Winchester-1973 if you still have Piper and the Mayor, try writing the console command I left in the 1.0.5 update notes. That's the fix for your exact situation... and I forgot to include that fix at the end of "The Hero" scripts?‍♂️  But I'll include it in the next version so it won't happen again to anyone. 


The last quest doesn't use handcuffs! I wonder if it's because you did setstages through consoles and skipped a stage that removed the handcuffs.

@jabberjaw123 That was fixed until f4edit's automatic cleanup reordered my dialogs. Look, if you keep insisting with Murphy, he should correctly speak the corresponding dialogue that will advance the quest. You speak to him once: he says his generic line. You speak to him a second time: he will say what he must say to move forward. At least until I correct it for the next version.

 

I think the Declan thing may be an oversight on my part. I will check it today and see if everything is correct.

yeah, i don't know what the issue is, he just says the same line over and over no matter how long i wait or how many times i ask him....i was able to use console commands to complete the quest "lucky day" but it doesn't start up the next one...could i get the ID to that? and see if it maybe forces it to move the characters onward?

The event starts with a close-up of Dwayne, and in my experience it's best if you're in third person so the cameras work the way I've planned. You probably already know about the "special cameras" in my mod (like when you go to Corvega for the first time, with Jared and Gristle). Check it out next time: before the "special camera" starts, I take a close-up of Jared. Otherwise (if you have control of the camera) this whole scene doesn't work as intended. 

 

 

But as you say, even without this special camera stuff, the dialogue should start, so it could be something else that is interrupting or impeding the progress of the scene.

is anyone having problem with corvega interior. Because mine is, there some weird light leaking inside Corvega and missing some walls and stair texture. Anyone can help with this problem?

If the quest doesn't start by itself it won't start by console commands because the aliases are not filled. I suggest disabling mods that you think might be screwing you up in some way until you find the culprit. The mod is new. I don't have the foggiest idea what could be the cause, but you will see some suggestions on the main page of the mod.

Had to restart yesterday and am now stuck between working in the whorehouse and the fighter quest. I did serve 2-3 customers and after i got more than 100 caps the quest doesnt update after the last "flush the toilet".

 

I can only talk to lindstrom, he says he is happy with my earnings and that i have to go to corvega (maybe worth mentioning, its not a dialog where i could reply something, he is just saying the lines). He doesnt take the money, also doesnt start the timer and the Fighter Quest doesnt start. Trying to get out anyway makes declan punish me for lying.

 

I tried it 2 times with 1.05 (each going back to the save after Pest Control was already finished). I also installed the hotfix, played with the the same save, with the same result and also going back to to an earlier save, finishing Pest Control again and the whore house jobs didnt help.

 

I dont know if this is necessary, but i also noticed that the quest tab in my pipboy doesnt show the finished Quest "The Truce" anymore.

this some times happen by bug. Just quit the game and reload the game

I also now did (after your suggested console commands) the SQV _CS_House for the house quest it returns:
