AI Chatbots, but Sexy

Recently stumbled across Character.AI, a chatbot that lets you define a character in broad strokes and then interact with it, with the AI roleplaying as whatever character you described. It can be anything from a ship's AI telling you about the mission you're on and asking for your input to overcome obstacles, to a demon telling you about how misunderstood their kind have been, to any sort of creature or being that you can imagine.

 

Personally, I love the fact that something like that exists, because it's so cool to interact with. However, I am *also* a bit of a pervert, so I got to thinking - why isn't there something like that, but without it being so heavily curated and moderated to be so "wholesome"? Seems like somebody with the right knowledge could alter the code just a little bit to make it lean in to the NSFW roleplay aspects...

 

Even if not, it's still some fascinating technology to play with! :D

For chatbots it's not worth it imo unless you really want the novelty of sexting an AI instead of another person. There are plenty of online spaces like r/dirtypenpals and r/NSFW411 so maybe try those out. Or just go on Bumble or Fetlife and find someone there. There are also discord servers for sexting and general sexual roleplay stuff so just look around for those on google.

So, for now, humans are cheaper than going to AI.    I wonder when that will no longer be the case.    I have wondered what will happen to our society when AI and sex bots are over that "creepy vibe" stage.

KoboldAI is so darn easy to set up on your computer that anyone can do it. The article provides help to set up and download everything needed with links to both interfacesoftware and suggestions for which AI model (uncencored and nsfw ready) you should download. 

 

When installed there's a lot of preset AI  scenarios you can start with, or you could just use the default and feed it with character info as you like. I'm using a 13B uncencored mythomax and it works ok enough. My gpu can't handle much more.

I've been playing with a lot of the AI chatbot type stuff lately, and if you're still looking into it I can tell you the best options I've found so far.

 

If you're willing to pay, I'd recommend novelai.net, my kinks tend to be on the more restricted side of what the free options are willing to do, but novelai doesn't give a fuck, and supports a text adventure mode. I usually keep it in writing mode anyway, I find the way it edits what you type a little frustrating on the text adventure mode. You could also try Replika.ai, but it can be pretty hesitant to do anything particularly "dark," unless you spend a good amount of time training it with role playing and "Love"ing responses that fit your desires.

 

For free, if you have a decent computer, I found Ooga Booga (text generation webui) to be quite a bit better at following a story than KoboldAI, particularly using Chronos Hermes 13B lizpreciatior/lzlv_70B.gguf. You'll need a decent computer though. I've heard it recommended you want at least double the #B in VRAM, but I've been running 13B on my RTX 4080 with 16GB VRAM and it's been acceptable, and lizpreciatior/lzlv_70B.gguf runs quite well as well. I like to run SillyTavern on top of that for managing characters/scenarios. I might just be impatient, but I do find in general you have to force some of these bots to act, they tend to like to talk about the act more than doing it, although with recent testing of lzlv I'm finding it MUCH better in this respect.

 

Edit: Found a better model that runs quite well, tracks the scenario significantly better, and is much more willing to actually take action in a sexy way if that's what you set your scenario up for.

Atp it's anyone's guess. I don't think there's much cause for worry tho cause humans at some point will start joining with the machines judging by the natural progression of things. Tech helping disabled people get better and more sophisticated prosthetics, and then using AI to refine the signals to make more articulated movements which necessitates more complex hardware to accommodate for that.

 

So instead of having "sexbots with AI" we'll get Bob who has a rotating penis augmentation that uses Ai to convert his brain signals into rotation speed and vibration intensity on the fly, or something to that extent. People always look at something and take it to it's logical extreme (not a bad thing necessarily) when in reality people react differently as things progress. This is why i can never take concepts like Skynet seriously cause development will be slow and people won't just sit around until a sentient AI suddenly appears and takes over everything.

Neural interfaces already exist, they pretty much do work, espacially for simple things like you described, and they don't need any form AI at all.

Yes neural interfaces without any AI already exist, my point was that AI can help refine that system further and speed up development and make it more sophisticated.

Interesting, though....largely predictable and my story (Roman solider in London wanting to leave the service and return to Rome a rich man, runs into a hot woman who is fleeing her master and lies to the main character in an attempt to gain his assistance to flee from the British Isles.)

That's what I've found, unfortunately.  Even with some base written in for the AI to go off of (to "guide" the AI in its writing of the story), if the story goes on very long, you'll end up with "we've been here, before..." due to the limited phrasing it has resulting in repetitiveness.

The main problem I've run into is that I enjoy letting the AI "steer" the story, and thus getting little surprises as to where things go - at least initially.  The problem is that, as with actually writing the story yourself, without a framework for the story, and some idea of 'beginning, middle, end', it can get to the point of "Okay... now what?".  I've had that happen with two stories/chats that I've run; both are pretty much stalled out after "stuff" happens to the characters.  (What kind of stuff?  Lovers Lab type stuff.)

I recently discovered a few lewd chabots like Yodayo and Janitor AI, and I have to say I'm having so much fun with it. Sure a few bots go off the rails and 9/10 bots are not very well done. But ever so often you find one that you can spend a few good hours interacting with. Anyone had good experiences with it, or maybe using different limitless chatbots?
