got a problem.

When I was sneaking behand a hostile, no matter activate by 'E' or simply press 'G' (only once a time of course), I will always kill the hostile after the grapple animation without any further options. 

Also tried 'shift + G', didn't work neither.

 

it has been awhile since I did that, but if you have a weapon in your hand and hold down the key you kill them. I believe if you just push it and stop pushing the button once the grapple animation starts it won't kill them. You can also try it with no weapon in your hand. I honestly can't remember off the top of my head how it is done. I remember if you did it one way you killed them and another way you put them into bleed out.

Hey Goubo, here's an idea (from admittedly a person with the most basic of programming knowledge) for the controller support issue and  what to map the struggle buttons.

 

Why not set up in the code when the input is called for struggling a bit of code that makes it refer to an external file? Call it something like Struggle_Input or something. In that second file you could have the bit of code for what buttons it takes to struggle. That way you can include with your next update all the files you normally do but then an additional file that can swapped easily to change the means of struggle.

 

That way you can have it so that Defeat works with the keyboard as it does now but then have and optional file modders can download  to have it work with the trigger buttons of their controller... Hell with this system you could have it so others could program easily whatever their preference of buttons input they want.

 

Just a thought. Like I said, I have a limited knowledge for programming (C++) and I don't know the coding used for Skyrim, but I thought I should put that out there.

I guess ideal for me would be to use the arrows or buttons on top of the controller. I don't mind using the keyboard though, I just usually don't keep the mouse nearby when playing. If controller is not an option, I'd say left and right keys on the right hand side, I am pretty sure they work with the controller plugged in.

 

I don't want to be too persnickety though, I'll get by as long as it works.

Hi, if some of you experienced a bug where Defeat do nothing (as my case), you have to:

Unistall the mod via MCM as said.

BUT before updating, you should delete all old files (and .esp, .esm, etc... then reload(s) your savegame(s), wait for MCM forget them in the lost (they will disaper in few seconds), then re-Save your game.

Put the new version and reload. =)

 

A problem I can't slove by myself: When a animation finish, the player is stuck in "wounded position", and can do nothing, or stuck standing, and do nothing.

 

After a event you need to hit the left and right keys to build up the bar before you can move. If you are using a controller instead of a keyboard, Defeat currently doesn't work with controls but will with the next patch or that is the plan anyways.

My understanding was that Goubo was planning to change it so 'struggling' would use the right and left mouse keys which if your using a controller would translate to the right and left triggers respectively, this would 'fix' the problem of not being able to struggle free if your a controller-user, since currently the struggle function uses the strafe left/strafe right keys which just don't exist on a controller.

I'm still running the 4.2 version and had two questions.

 

1.  My follower, Lydia, is in a trauma state, beating her hand against the ground.  If I understand the instructions properly I need to hold down the default "G" key in order to revive her.  It doesn't seem to work.  Do I need to repeatedly hit the key or hold in continuously?  Also, how long should this take?  One tap and done or is it a few seconds or even a minute?

 

2.  I read up on this as well but still seem to be having inconsistent issues.  For the strip/steal/unequip/framework options.  I set everything to strip.  For my character the weapon and base armor were stripped.  The boots, gauntlets (I didn't have a helmet) were simply unequipped.  For Lydia the base armor, gauntlets and boots were stripped but her weapon was unequipped.  For the SL framework I have everything marked as unequip (there are no strip or steal options in SL that I can tell) and for defeat, as I stated earlier, I have everthing set to strip.  Which it does, sorta, any help on understanding the logic.

I know the updated version is the hot topic right now.  If anyone is running the 4.2 version and you had the same issues as I listed above I seem to have solved the first.

 

When my follower, Lydia (had this happen with others too), was in the trauma state I could not revive her as stated above.  The default "action" key was not responding.  I also had turned off the, "player as aggressor" option in the MCM menu.  I didn't note that above.  Anyway, I turned the player as aggressor back on, changed the default "action" key to another and just like magic everything worked as it should.  I don't know if another mod is using the "G" key, the default action key or not.  I've had this happen with another mod so maybe it's just something wonky with my set-up.

 

As far as the strip/steal/unequip/framework, that still hasn't changed though I haven't looked into that as closely as it wasn't game stopping.

 

Thought I would post a success in case anyone else has the same issue.  One last note, I turned the "player as aggressor" option back off in the MCM and the appease command (action key) still worked.

 

I look forward to trying the next version, just want to finish this game first.

Sounds like you are stuck waiting for another aggressor that Defeat has tagged but for what ever reason the aggressor can't get to you or the script got stuck.

It works, I don't know if this is what you said nutluck, but i disabed the robbing probability (0%), and no problem now. All others who have this stuck bug, you should try this.

Glad you got it working, so it seems something for you at least was getting hung up with the robbing script getting hung up it seems.

I'm having an issue getting rape to start with the player as victim. My character's health and stamina are both below the threshold, and chance on hit for knockdown is 100%, yet my character never gets knocked down. This happens in every situation, with both humanoid enemies and creatures. I've made sure the specific gender of the attacker is allowed, as well as making sure creatures are allowed, to no avail. I've tested SexLab animations successfully, so it's likely not the problem. Reinstalling both SexLab and Defeat, and running FNIS every time has done nothing to help solve the problem. Does anyone know how to help? I'm running SexLab 1.55 and Defeat V5B1.1

Exactly, and if keyboard players wish to use mouse buttons they can too.

that's wierd, did you try on a new save?  Did you use a previous version of Defeat on this save?

Need more information than that, saying it doesn't work doesn't tell us much.

 

Do you get knocked down into bleedout from combat? are you getting killed? or is nothing at all happening. With out more information none of us can help you figure out what is wrong.

 

They attack me and nothing is happening =( HP below 0 and i don`t die and don`t rape

Just here to say that the mod works well...fine....to me.(of course i have some avoidable bug)

The only problem i have is that i need to clean Defeat each time after Rape. and with one follower the raper start to have sex alternating victim and follower at each animation step.

Pretty good mod, main reason I even know about this sight was a link on another forum for Oblivion showing off the slavery mod. And as far as I can tell this is the only mod that I found for skyrim that is active where the player can take people, suppose to the dozen or so where the player can be made into a slave. Really good work, can't wait to see more, also in an older version I had I swear Nexus Mod Installer mentioned a prison or hide out to store people in. I didn't see that mentioned anywhere in this version though.

 

Oh never mind I see it now it was 4.0 back from before I pulled the trigger on installing it, and it states in the info that in 4.2 it was planed on making the hide out a separate mod to be latter released. Now I got to look and see if that has a WIP page...

Finally managed to find a good way to get stripped items on the floor, that's really a relief, I struggled very hard with this omg. (And as always, it wasn't very complicated to do...)

Nothing makes the player invulnerable in Defeat, incompatibility maybe.

Did you try on a new save? Is it working with other SexLab mods?

Thanks for the link, that is exactly what I am looking for, looks like I will have to wait a while longer though. Its all good though nice to see this stuff evolve, by the time I tried Oblivion, it was so old all the mods were finished or abandoned lol. It was nice though I thought skyrim was 100% unique, then found myself geeking out about how speechcraft worked in that, and all the stuff people did with it and mods. I honestly liked it so much I waited quite some time to replace my console copy of skyrim with the PC one, and it was just an impulse buy on a All in one DLC+ game back that was on sale.

Submit lets you take prisoners, Defeat will eventually have a plugin mod already mentioned the Hideout which will greatly expand it and I know of 1 or 2 other mods where it lets the PC become a slave master and take NPC's as slaves but I forget their names.

That's why I've added specific slots and a function to know what slot uses a piece or armor but I know it's limited, it just seems really redundant with the SexLab strip menu where you can set every piece to be unequipped, but I'm gonna make some tests with GetNthParent() function, maybe something nice could be made with this.

 

Oh and follower stuff will be registered too, if they are stripped during a player assault, I'll include the option for the aggressor to steal gold, stripped & gold or everything above the set value as you suggested.

Yeah I understand it is redundant. I worded that wrong, let me try again.

 

What I was asking was a optional button you could select so it strips aka throws the stuff on the ground instead of unequip. You can then let sexlab menu handle it, this button would just have sexlab strip it instead of unequip it if that makes sense. It would be a totally optional button.

Yes I was aware thats why I told them eventually Defeat would have a plugin for capturing and enslaving NPC's.

 

Though personally I am more interested in the events of when the PC is capture to come after we help you track down on the bugs with this alpha release. :D
