It can be quite a hassle if the NPCs are hostile. Also, I think it would be more immersive if the number of times enslaved followers have sex in their sex journals increased with each passing day. 1

If you are being included it's because the external mod responsible for the scene (or another mod detecting that scene) has added you.

johnhamm Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 I've only run into the issue once when there were only 2 men and a slave in the cell, one being me. I'm pretty certain it was FSM though, I don't have any mods that force me into scenes because I find that annoying.

The idea would be to have a subjugation/domination mechanic where if a follower is enslaved for a long time they get other effects that can increase in severity over time, depending (maybe) on a personality assigned to masters. Subjugation would tick up over time enslaved and down over time freed. This would only work on named unique masters, not every random bandit, but an example would be a kind master having a Stockholm syndrome effect meaning that you need to do more than just pay money to get them back. Maybe they have a chance to run off back to their master each day until subjugation ticks down. Another example would be a harsh master breaking the slave, making them have different dialogue and not fight. You would need to take them to a different NPC to get them fixed or something similar. I'm open to suggestions for other subjugation effects and ways to fix them. I would only consider effects that are 100% reversible with some effort. I'm not interested in killing followers or irreversibly changing them mechanically. The only change like that I would consider would be something along the lines of going back permanently to an ex-master if the follower isn't currently following you. The effects might be very difficult or expensive to reverse, but it's important to me that they are reversible. Bane, if you have any problem with this let me know and I'll delete this. When/if I get something to actually play with I'll make a different thread to prevent polluting this one, I just think this is the best place to get suggestions since people that are interested are already here 3

That's fine - hope you can pull it off, please use the API though rather than just linking to or overwriting scripts as the internals may often change without notice. BTW you'll have noticed that FSM avoids hard dependencies almost entirely so bear that in mind when linking to other mods or using their resources. If there's anything not in the API that you need let me know and I'll see if I can help.

But please make it such that we can opt-out certain followers; with some I don't want to risk corrupting their custom AI. 2

I could add a follower blacklist to the json - that way you would be able to add (and remove) followers whenever you loaded your game. 1

Followers in the blacklist will be ignored by FSM I like the blacklist, helps to keep followers with ... 'fragile AI's' out of slavery. The problem I foresee is, since it's part of the package. I will have to remember backing up my version, then putting it back after an update and ideally compare them to ensure nothing else has changed. I know that will not work for me. I might remember to make a backup now ... but will I also remember to do so again if I add another name? And will I remember to replace the installed version with the backup after the next update? And will I feel like doing a diff on the two versions? Afraid, the answer is "probably not" to all of those questions. Maybe you could use a separate file, which is not part of the package as blacklist? Perhaps upload an example blacklist to the DL's for people not too comfortable with ini files, file editors, etc., so this remains simple for them to do, despite being update safe?

I've had it twice now just say that my follower is enslaved with no animation playing. Didn't realise that it was still attached. Deadly Drain had an infinite loop issue that was fixed in the latest update. I think that was responsible for a lot of random issues I started having... 1
